Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream for Dry Skin-1 fl. oz.

Invented by Japanese pharmacist Yoshihito now Atari in 1957, Yu-Be (pronounced “YOO-BEE”) is a glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with vitamin e, vitamin b2 and camphor. It’s the uniquely high glycerin content (achieved through a special manufacturing process in japan), which makes Yu-Be moisturizing skin cream so effective on serious dry skin anywhere on the body (including face and lips) and truly sets it apart from other creams.

Petroleum free, super effective moisturizer

I bought this item as an impulse buy in the ‘sample’ bins while waiting in line at Sephora. I WOULD have bought it from Amazon except I didn’t know it existed.I was attracted to the packaging, seeing it was Asian and knowing how superb some skin products can be from certain Asian countries, after a quick read of the ingredients and seeing nothing ominous, I added it to my cart. The label says you can use it anywhere even on the face (I wouldn’t recommend that — for me the menthol or camphor aspect is irritating), but it is THE MOST moisturizing product I have ever used on my hands! I couldn’t believe how nice and soft and smooth they looked an hour or so after applying this stuff (which has a kind of vaseline like consistency – but NO petroleum by products in it!).So reasonable too for how effective it is!

Awesome moisturizer!

I originally received this product as a sample and loved it! When I finished the sample in only a couple days, which doesn’t often happen with other samples, I ordered this tube. This one is lasting a while. It’s a great, fast-absorbing moisturizer especially since I live in a very dry climate. I’ve even put it on my face and it hasn’t irritated it. Would highly, highly recommend!

Like it.

This cream is very unusual. It goes on thick but I have to say it does it’s job and moisturizes. I even don’t mind how it smells and smell will eventually fade.

Lingering Greasiness, Unpleasant Smell

I bought this based on its cult following but I have to say I’m not a fan. It goes on greasy, takes a long time to absorb, and smells like mothballs. Yes, the smell dissipates, but why bother when there are so many other pleasant smelling and/or fragrance-free options? The color and texture are similar to nasal mucus. It’s just a big fat no all-around. I’ll stick with Aquaphor.

Great For Lips

My lips have needed some extra care lately and I’m not a fan of waxy lip balms, so I gave the Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream a chance to work some magic on my dry lips.I put a little bit of the magic yellow cream on my lips at night and wake up to lips that stay soft all day.The cream goes on with a pretty strong camphor smell. At first I didn’t like it much, but I’ve become used to it. I wouldn’t say that it dissipates quickly…it takes 5-10 minutes.Unfortunately for me, my daughter has also discovered Yu-Be and she often steals my tube for her own use. Her lips get very dry (to the point of cracking), so if she’s stealing my Yu-Be Skin Cream it must be really good!I guess I’ll just have to buy another tube…

Wonderfully Hydrading

I bought this because of dry patches on my face. However the cream made me breakout horribly, and I wouldn’t recommend it to be used on the face. However, for anywhere else on the body this cream is a life saver. It sinks into the skin and makes you feel so soft immediately. The first thing you’ll notice is the smell. It’s the camphor, and it goes away quick. (If you don’t know what camphor is, it smells like Vicks Vapo Rub)Overall this is a wonderful thick moisturizer.

Miracle cream

Although the medicinal smell is strong at first, it wears away quickly. I live using this on my hands on on dry spots like elbows/heels. It is great on your cuticles as well. Yu be has a cult following and now I know why! I agree that it is a little expensive, but keep in mind that it is very concentrated and you don’t need very much. This is a wonderful cream and I would like to try the body lotion version that they sell as well.

Skin Softening

I’ve never seen a cream soften and moisturize quite so quickly. Not only do you need a tiny amount of this slightly summery lemon colored cream, it seems to last for hours. What impresses most about this cream is the skin softening properties. Use this on your hands to see dramatic results instantly.Ingredients include Vitamin E, Vitamin B and Camphor. The camphor scent is very mild and they say you can use this on your face. I mostly use this for my hands and for cuticle care. Works especially well on feet and the cooling sensation is very pleasant.Recommended for when you participate in winter sports. Sumiyo Tsuzuki, a mountain climber, appears in IMAX Everest wearing a tube of this product taped to a shoelace around her neck. She used this product and if it works to protect skin against the weather on Mt. Everest, imagine how healing it will be for daily use.A must-have cream for when you are exposed to harsh wind or cold.If you enjoy this product, also look for Miss Oops Pedicure in a Bottle or the Derma E Hand Crème Age Reversal Formula for Youthful Hands. The Yu-Be Medicated Cream seems to enhance all other skincare products. The softening products are especially impressive.~The Rebecca Review
