TOO FACED IS WORTH EVERY BIT!!!!
I LOVE THIS KABUKI BRUSH IT’S SOFT,STURDY,AND IT HANDLES MY POWDER GREAT. I SEEN THIS BRUSH AND IT WAS CALLING ME EVERY SINCE I LAYED MY EYES ON IT. IT LOOK’S LIKE A CUTE HELLO KITTY BARBIE KABUKI BRUSH.(AND GIRLY WHICH I AM). I USE THIS AFTER I PUT MY FOUNDATION ON AND SET MY POWDER. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. WHEN IT TOUCHES MY FACE IT’S LIKE SILK. PLUS BUFFS IN THE POWDER PERFECT. BEST PART IT’S RETRACTABLE SO YOU WON’T DAMAGE IT OR GET ANY GERMS ON IT. BUY THIS KABUKI BRUSH!!! IM SAYING TO MYSELF “WHY YOU DIDN’T BUY THIS EARLIER”? LOL!! THANK’S TOO FACED!!
Two Years Later, Still Love It!
Seriously, how did I not write a review on this when I first bought it?I bought this in September of 2012.I also bought a great deal of other brushes- some small enough or retractable for travel, and many, many others which were intended for home use. This is the brush, out of no less than dozens of them, that I use every time I apply my powder. This is hands down the softest brush I own, and it lives inside my travel makeup bag, when it’s not busy earning it’s two-years-and-going-strong room and board.TWO YEARS of near-daily use, and I have ZERO complaints. No bristles falling out, no complaints, no points retracted, no negative anything to say about this brush. You can try any brush you like, but this is the one you’ll love- I can tell you this with all certainty, from personal experience.
Great little….fat stubby makeup brush…
Great little….fat stubby makeup brush…Too Faced Cosmetics Kabuki Brush, 2.2 Ounce….a good price and the color is nice and I like that it covered wit a top to take with you in your purse!~
Its a superbly soft brush. Very useful to take when travelling.Only problem is washing it. Have to be soooooooo careful that no water enters the roots whilst ensuring all the bristles are clean….
super soft brush
love this brush, just wish it would extend longer, has a short nubby base, seems small even forfull size but love the softness of the brush
Finally! Something soft!
It’s not every day I rate something 5 stars but this little guy has earned it!Too faced was smart, create a kabuki brush that is extremely soft yet portable. Other brands such as Smashbox and Bare Esentuals could really learn a thing or two from this idea. This nearly full sized Kabuki brush retracts down into itself so it’s cap can close it up nicely. The synthetic hair of this brush is luxuriously soft unlike other kabuki brushes I have found on the market. With a good size head and handle the brush extends out of it’s handle so even while traveling you have a full size kabuki brush unlike other brand’s idea of “travel” brush. With other brands you are 1) missing a decent handle, 2) the brush head is not close to full size and 3) they do not have a case to cover up the brush head. The case which covers up the brush head is essential in my book. I don’t care about getting residual powder all over my purse nor do I like the idea of the brush head getting mixed up with something I may have left in my purse. The most important part of this very well designed and soft brush is it’s ability to apply makeup. The brush head is not as compact and stiff as other kabuki brushes but don’t let this lead you into believing it doesn’t work as well. I find it works better as the hair of the brush extends out for better coverage while sweeping my powder foundation over my skin. The brush works great for buffing in foundation when layering the powder on for more coverage as well as applying a light amount of coverage using it as an all over powder brush. One thing this brush doesn’t do that my other kabuki brushes have done in the past is shed! When I use it to apply my powder foundation it doesn’t leave hair all over my face! What the …. oh? You mean kabuki brushes AREN’T suppose to do this?????I’m of course being a bit sarcastic there ….But seriously, when I first purchased this brush it did lose a few hairs but now .. nothing. The brush which came with Bare Escentuals sheds like crazy. I bet if I kept using it I would have worn it down to a stub.I read the other reviews here on this page and one lady commented that she gave this product four stars because of the price. She paid 28.00 dollars for the brush. I understand that 28.00 dollars is pretty pricey but check out Bare Escentual’s kabuki brush and it’s 28.00 dollars as well and not even close in quality. Other brands range from 10.00 dollars to even 50.00 dollars (Alison Raffaele) so the price for this little beauty is a median of what is on the market today. I’m pretty sure I paid $32.00 dollars for this brush but it was when it first came out and I bought it from Sephora.Anyways my break down of the good and bad …Good1. Extremely soft2. Portability3. Functionality (used for a portable and one at home)4. Good coverage5. Cute!BadNothing I can really think of.
This is my favorite portable makeup brush. I keep it in my purse so I can touch up my powder throughout the day. The brush itself is super soft, and it distributes my makeup very well. Also, as you can see, it’s also shiny and pink and super cute! What’s not to love?!
I looked into trying to get a travel friendly kabuki brush and found this one with high reviews and thought that I had found the one.I love the fact that it is "retractable" which isn’t 100% true but still it does the job which is why I was looking for something for taking around.I was definitely disappointed when I tried to use it and found that although it is definitely as soft as many stated, it was definitely not a full as I would have liked.I will still hold onto it but only use it for applying touch up or a finishing powder only.(regarding the fullness, I have a buffer brush from MAC that is fuller than this one and it will continue to be my main applicator)
Cute and works well
This is a really good brush and it doesnt loose hair. It is soft, covers well and is very convenient and portable. 4 rather than 5 stars because the ouside design rubs off pretty early on. Part of this brush’s allure for me was how cute and pink it is. It still looks fine, but the exterior paint and flowers have rubbed off a bit more than I would have hoped in just a few months. That aside, it’s good.
Yes. Yes, yes, yes!
Excellent brush. It’s soft as all get out and the coverage it provides is even and beautiful. I’ve owned at least three other Kabuki brushes and they’ve all either shed or have shown wear and tear in a very short amount time. Not this one. No shedding whatsoever and still looks like it did the day I got it. Don’t bother looking any further. If you’re looking for the perfect Kabuki brush, you’ve found it.
