Confusing Information On Label
When I received this product I was confused. On the front label it says ‘All Day Body Shampoo’ which led me to believe it was Body (for the body not hair) Shampoo. I consider the labeling poor because of this. It wasn’t easy to determine if it was for the body or for the hair even though I was pretty certain it was supposed to be hair shampoo. The product itself did a nice job on my hair. I have used it at least a half dozen times and it is very sudsy which I like. My hair blows out well, stays smooth, and doesn’t appear as dry as it was. I would recommend this product.
not so natural after all
This shampoo is for Normal to Fine hair and it does get my hair nice and clean without leaving any residue.Having said that… I will list the first 6 ingredients:1- water2- sodium laureth sulfate3- sodium chloride4- cocamiddopropyl betaine5- glycol distearate6- fragrance (parfum)And underlined in big capital letters on the label it has the nerve to say- “N A T U R A L”Though it also says- “No Parabens No Dyes”
I have never used a Suave product that smelled this good. I really like this shampoo a lot. It lathers fine and does a god job of cleaning. Lather is not an indicator of how good a shampoo works, it is a psychological thing most of us have been programed to be used to. Tons of lather = tons of chemicals.Anyway, this left my hair feeling clean and soft. The bottle design is nice so you can leave it upside down when it starts getting low. Not a die hard fan of Suave, but this is a good one.
This shampoo doesn’t condition your hair. I would not recommend this for dry hair. It isn’t completely stripping but it does remove some oils from your hair and I definitely needed to use conditioner afterwards or I wouldn’t have been able to comb it. My hair is below my shoulders and has a natural wave. I didn’t notice any extra body, maybe just a little volume because it does remove excess oils. This was just a little too stripping for me but may work for someone with oilier hair.
Good product, great price!
I’ve been using this shampoo and the matching conditioner of the same product line for a couple of weeks now and I like it. I use about a quarter-sized dollop of product on my shoulder-length fine, hair. I love scented products and the smell of this shampoo is quite strong, and honestly, is not my favorite but at least it doesn’t smell like chemicals — supposed to be like "nature".I do color my hair at home using a variety of products, and that process leaves my hair with a tendency to be dry. I want clean, soft, smooth hair without static or flyaway ends. Also don’t want a greasy look that you sometimes can get using products made for processed hair. This shampoo works well for me and I am happy with the way my hair looks and feels.I like Suave products and would buy it.
Tonight, I paired this shampoo with the matching conditioner. I think many of these Suave products, in order to reach their full potential, need to be experienced as a set (especially since the shampoos can be a bit aggressive). Here are the results of this evening’s experiment:While I initially thought the scent was a little cloying, I ended up finding it refreshing. (But, there is a note of caution to those who struggle with stronger scents: this one is pretty powerful). The lather is effortless and rich (which is not the case with most products labelled as "natural"). (HOWEVER,do note that these "natural" Suave products still have sodium lauryl sulfate as the second ingredient … yes, this gives that lather that we all love, but truly "natural" product do not include this element). Moreover, this shampoo rinsed super clean. The conditioner has a pleasant smell and also rinses super clean. Now, since I have very long hair, I (maybe) used a tad too much. My hair did not have the volume for which I had hoped, but it was clean, yummy smelling, and smooth.Suave is crazy inexpensive. I even use it to clean my Bare Essentials brushes. For certain, it "gets the job done." It’s not the best, but it is effective!
The Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Seaweed and Lotus Blossom Shampoo gets the job done. My thick color treated hair smells and looks great after every use. The exotic smell of the shampoo I’d pondered at first. It’s actually quite desirable though it’s not as strong as a scent I wish it would have been. I tend to favor noticeably lasting aroma all day.I don’t have to use a ton of shampoo to get the coverage I need on my longer than shoulder length hair. The shampoo I found to have lathered well. What always wins me over is the natural benefits! There are no parabens or dyes. The product claims to gently cleanses and adds body from root to tip so hair is uniformly voluminous. I can most certainly see are real difference in how much and how long the extra volume and body last all day long.
Not lovin’ it
I have very fine, very straight, hair that in my youth had to be washed every day just to not look dirty. While I’m now well into middle age, I find this shampoo (which I’m using with the related conditioner) sends me right back to my youth, and not in a good way. My hair looks thin and limp, and frankly rather greasy on the second day. Ugh.
Subtle Leafy Scent, Cleans Well, Lathers Nicely
Suave Professional Seaweed and Lotus Blossom shampoo is a good shampoo for getting your hair clean, feeling soft, and smelling nice. The Seaweed/Lotus Blossom scent is very subtle and smells only slightly flowerly/leafy. I noticed the scent lingered on my hair, even after it was dried. Please note I did use this shampoo along with the matching conditioner. Suave’s Seaweed/Lotus Blossom shampoo got my hair clean, although it did feel a little stringy after use. You will definitely have to use a conditioner along with this shampoo as it will make your hair feel "rough" if used alone.Overall, I did like this shampoo, although there are other shampoos at comparable prices that can probably just as well, but also have the soft/conditioning feel to it afterwards. While I would use this shampoo, it’s wouldn’t be my first choice.
You know how your hair smells after a day at the beach? It doesn’t smell that good
I have been using Suave products for a while and I like them. I like their shampoos because it leaves my hair clean and extends the time between washes. So, whilst this shampoo left my hair clean, it didn’t really smell that great. I love the smell of hair after I have been at the beach. Even if it is all dry and sticky. Well, this reminded me of toned down altered version of that. And, while the shampoo has a lot of fragrance off the bottle, it doesn’t linger in the hair at all. It gives no volume and left my hair limp. Moreover, a product with ‘Natural’ in its name and bottle should have a better list of ingredients. There are a few ingredients that give me pause.
I like this shampoo particularly for its unique smell. It’s hard to pinpoint since seaweed and lotus blossom aren’t common fragrances, but its pleasant and refreshing. It’s also not too potent. The shampoo works pretty well. You don’t need to put a lot of it in to reap the benefits. I’ve been impressed with what it’s capable of doing with my hair as far as standards shampoos go.Suave products are all pretty top notch and this is no exception. If you’re looking to try something new with your hair regime, you should definitely give this one a try.
It smells great and works as promised. My hair feels clean, but not weighted down or frizzy. I would by this again.
Nice lather and smell
Although the Natural Infusion Seaweed and Lotus Blossom Shampoo has no parabens or dyes, you will still find things like Sodium Laureth Sulfate, making it not as natural as one would think. Without the parabens, your hair won’t be weighed down as much and should have more body.Personally, I liked how this shampoo worked on my very fine textured hair. I did use it with the conditioner, and as with most of the Suave Professionals line, to get the best outcome, they should be used together. There was tremendous lather and the smell is nice but strong. This goes away quickly leaving just a hint of scent.I found it cleaned my hair nicely, stayed clean into the next day, had a nice shine and possibly more body, but nothing very noticeable.
Nice Shampoo, Slight difference in Body…
I have long, wavy to curly hair that is normal to thick. I like this shampoo for my hair. It adds a tiny bit additional body to my hair but not a very noticeable difference. My hair and scalp feels good though when I use this shampoo. I use the matching conditioner every few days as well.I was a bit worried about the scent but it’s not bad at all. It’s not very strong but I would say that I like it. You don’t smell it much after you rinse it out.I’m not real sure where all the confusion comes in with wondering if this is for your hair or body. Yes, I see that the bottle says “All Day Body Shampoo” but right under it it says “For Normal to Fine Hair”. It’s in a shampoo bottle and I’ve never heard a body product referred to as Shampoo. Sure, it could’ve been worded better but it’s not in the title of this listing so I would think that anybody buying this would know that it’s Shampoo, for your hair.I like this product and I would recommend trying it. I think when I get my overly due haircut I’ll notice a lot more body. My hair is so weighed down right now but I think if your hair isn’t too heavy you’ll notice a difference in the amount of body to your hair.
Suave may just win me back
I’ve used Suave body wash for many years, and I also used Suave shampoo for years – but then I switched to Pantene after trying their Volume shampoo. It works and feels great, and the shampoo itself is thicker than the Suave shampoo that I had been using – which just seemed watery by comparison. This Suave variety is still a bit more watery than the Pantene, but I really do think that it adds body to my (thinning) hair all day. It has a pleasant but reserved scent, and the price isn’t too bad (it’s available locally around me for about the same price as here). IMO, it is definitely better than the Suave shampoo that I was using years ago.So, I think that I still prefer the Pantene Volume shampoo, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use this if it was on sale. I really do like it. If you are looking for a shampoo that adds some body, I recommend giving this a try.
Sodium Laureth Sulfate, SLES is a cheap surfactant used in cheap products. It is used in a lot of cheap shampoos, so it isn’t a surprise to find it in here. However, it is aggravating to me when companies market their products as "natural" and healthy when they are just bottling the same crap as all of the other cheap shampoos.SLES is a sulfate that actually inhibits hair growth. It also fades color, so if you’ve spent a lot of money in a salon whatever you save by buying this will be lost. The scent is passable. It does lather, SLES lathers really well. But if you want healthy hair, look for products without an agent known to keep your hair from healthy growth and contributes a variety of other health issues. Google it.
Absolutely love the scent
So far I’ve liked all the Suave fragrances a lot. I love this one; I find it very appealing. And I’m fussy about fragrances, disliking most and preferring fragrance-free environments. This shampoo lather well and leaves hair full-feeling after the rinse. I think Unilever’s Suave is an excellent brand, and this Natural Infusion line contains no parabens. There are chemicals with which I’m not that familiar, such as Methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI).
smelled nice, nothing super exciting though….
The shampoo has a nice scent to it and is good for normal to fine hair. I can’t say that I really felt it was super volumizing or anything though. It washed my hair thoroughly, didn’t weigh my short curly hair down and lathered up nicely. Though it was a decent enough shampoo I can’t see ditching my fave, which is herbal essence hello hydration, but that is my personal preference. Overall, not a bad product, just wasn’t anything too outside of the ordinary in my opinion.
Nice scent, good gently cleaning ability, not all that much lather
I like the scent of this shampoo – light and somewhat floral, but not really. It’s hard to describe, but it is quite nice. The scent does not linger excessively after being rinsed out.I can’t fault its cleaning ability or the fact that it is a pretty gentle shampoo. It does not lather all that well, however. Certainly not as much as other Suave shampoos I’ve tried. It’s a decent, but not spectacular shampoo. I prefer other versions of Suave over this, but it still merits 4 stars for its performance and scent (loss of 1 for its less than ideal lather).
seaweed and lotus blossom shampoo
This shampoo has the milky white appearance and consistency of a typical conditioner. It produces a lot of lather and rinses out quickly. After rinsing my hair feels like it has a light coat of styling gel. This is odd because it leaves my hair dry and not very manageable. The shampoo has a strong floral and light woody scent. I’m not sure what lotus blossoms smell like but this shampoo is pleasant. The woodiness must come from the seaweed.Suave shampoos are always good for occasional use. I will frequently choose this brand over Prell, or VO-5 or White Rain and other popular brands that are in stock at the time I shop at the 99 cent store.
There really isn’t anything special about this shampoo – if anything, it slightly under-performs compared to the different drugstore brands I’ve been alternating between (Garnier, Aussie, Paul Mitchell). The scent is pretty while it’s lathering but it fades almost immediately and my hair was left extremely dry. I could tell as soon as I rinsed that I was going to have a problem, my hair felt rougher than it usually does after shampooing.I have the companion conditioner and when I used the two together, I got nice results. I didn’t get a lot of volume but my hair was left pretty smooth and shiny. I tried the shampoo with my usual conditioner and my hair was a little greasy, so if you buy this shampoo, I suggest you get the matching conditioner. Definitely don’t go with the shampoo alone.
The Suave Professionals Natural Infusion with Seaweed and Lotus Blossom is designed to be hair care for all day body for normal to fine hair. It smells pretty floral yet still smells like you expect shampoo and conditioner to smell. The shampoo lathers quite well. I don’t really care for the floral scent but it doesn’t linger around with a strong scent. It contains no parabens or dyes and is safe for color treated hair.I already have pretty full hair but this did seem to provide even more body.
I have rather difficult hair — curly, fine and color-treated — so a lot of shampoos don’t work for me. This one does. It has a light, fresh scent and gives my hair body without drying it out. Since it’s a Suave product, it also will be less expensive than many other brands. I definitely will buy this shampoo in the future.
free from parabens and dyes
If you wash your hair daily this is the shampoo for you. Gently cleanses, which for me means that my hair doesn’t feel like straw before I apply conditioner – a huge bonus. My 50 year old curly, thick longish Irish hair was clean and rinsed out quickly and easily. I do have split ends and while the shampoo did what I expected it to, it is the conditioner (Suave Natural Infusion All Day Body Conditioner) that kept my hair from looking a mess.
I love how this smells and I am using it along with the conditioner and my hair feel and looks great. I also love how they put the bottles so one is upside down so I can tell what they are with out my glasses. Great Job Suave.
I have liked almost all of the Suave Professionals Natural Infusion products. They are much nicer than most discount hair products. This lathered up nicely and washed hair clean without making it feel dry and stripped. This is my least favorite of the scents. It is just a flowery heavy scent.
Smells great but that’s it
I have very fine hair and not much of it so I’m always looking for something that adds body. Unfortunately, this shampoo didn’t work for me. Within a few days of using it my hair became unnaturally soft and very flat. Nothing seemed to be able to hold it or give it any volume. I don’t use conditioner and I used the same styling products I’ve always been using so those factors didn’t contribute to the problem. I only lasted with the product for about a week and then went to something different. My hair went back to it’s normal texture within two washings and I see much better results. This smells great but that’s about it.
Amazing product for the price
Suave is really doing great things to make available excellent haircare products at a price people can afford. I love the scent in this. It has a spalike scent that just makes you feel like you are using an expensive product. Sometimes with discount haircare products you find that it is watery. Suave keeps it thick and luxurious. I used the shampoo and conditioner together and found my hair to be clean, shiny, and moisturized after using the pair. The price is amazing considering how great the product is. I will be using natural infusions again, for sure.
Finally – no parabens…
I’ve been eliminating parabens as much as possible so was delighted to see Suave shampoo provide paraben free options which are still affordable. I have very long hair and find this leaves hair feeling clean without being weighed down. Fragrance is okay…not my favorite but decent. I’m not a big fan of the flip top lid either as it tends to break my nails or scrape the thumb when wet but the size to cost ratio is good. All in all a great addition.
Perfect for Men Who Suffer from Male Pattern Baldness (MPB)
My hair is thin, fine and greasy. I have suffered with Male Pattern Baldness (MPB) since I was in my early twenties. However, in order to prevent it from becoming more noticeable, I use gentle shampoos and conditioners that add body to my hair. As if I didn’t have enough hair challenges to overcome, I also suffer from dandruff if I don’t use a daily conditioner.I work two full-time jobs and don’t have time to waste in the shower using first my shampoo and then my conditioner. I prefer a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner but good ones can be very difficult to find. Nevertheless, I was thankful when I was offered the Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Seaweed and Lotus Blossom Shampoo and the Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Seaweed and Lotus Blossom Conditioner (Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Seaweed and Lotus Blossom Conditioner, 12.6 Ounce). When I take a shower each morning, I use both the Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Shampoo and the Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Conditioner together. I rub a dab of each in the palm of my hand and thoroughly mix them together before applying them to my hair. The combination lathers very well. I let it remain in my hair until after I finish soaping my body and then rinse it out. The mixture of shampoo and conditioner easily rinses out and doesn’t leave a sticky, slimy or tacky residue. Also, both the shampoo and conditioner are lightly fragranced and I don’t smell them after I take my shower. My hair feels great. It is shiny, bouncy and healthy. How do I know when my hair is clean and healthy? I don’t feel it. I don’t even now it is there. It doesn’t itch. It doesn’t feel greasy. There are no flakes of dandruff on my shoulder. After I blow dry my hair, it looks more voluminous. My hair doesn’t look thin. My MPB is hardly noticeable. I have found in the past that it is always good to cycle my hair products. Our scalps become immune to the shampoos and conditioners that we use on them year after year after year. Bodybuilders will tell you that their muscles grow bigger and faster when they frequently change their workout routines.Suave is a brand that I have used all my life. Their products have always been safe, reliable and inexpensive. They perform as well, if not better, than the more expensive brands. I especially love their body lotions, which I can use all over without worrying about allergic reactions. I never experienced an allergic reaction when using both the Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Shampoo and the Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Conditioner together. Besides being safe, they are gender friendly in that both genders can enjoy them. They don’t make insane promises such as they’ll make you irresistible to the opposite gender. I highly recommend them.Joseph B. Hoyos
