- Infused with almond oil and vitamin E
- Long lasting fragrance
Ruh Oh, Rorge…
got me in deep kimchee with my wife. She didn’t notice this was a shampoo/conditioner so she used it after as a conditioner. Ah, well. She says it smells good, and it is a good conditioner. Shampoo part will be next.Added 03/06/14: So, my wife says this is fine in a pinch but she favors separate shampoo & conditioner. Still likes the smell and for its use it is effective.
I have an obsession with sweet almond oil scented anything and I was really eager to try this product. Unfortunately, it doesn’t smell like almond at all, it’s more of a subtle coconut scent. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very pleasant scent, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. After I washed and rinsed my hair, it felt like it had heavy film on it, as if I hadn’t rinsed my hair properly. I rinsed it very thoroughly the second time and the heaviness was still there. I’m assuming that’s the conditioner part of the product because it’s a 2 in 1 shampoo. In the past when I’ve used 2 in 1 products, I’ve found that I still needed additional conditioner for my hair to be tangle free. That definitely wasn’t the case with this product. My hair was soft and tangle free, but it just felt weighed down and I didn’t care for that. This is a decent shampoo, but I probably wouldn’t use it again.
More Like Coconut, Less Like Almond
I opened the bottle and smelled this shampoo. It smelled somewhat perfum-y but nice. I poured some of it into the palm of my hand and then rubbed it into my hair and scalp with a vigorous action, using the tips of my fingers. The result was a lathery mix of shampoo and water, eventually firming up into a complete head of lather with which to cleanse my hair. At this point, the scent given by the mixture was more like coconut and smelled somewhat like the standard pina coloda scent of other tropical shampoos I’ve used over the last few decades. I can only say that the scent changed once it was lathered up.In the end, my hair was shiny and clean, losing none of it’s former vigor and sheen. While normally my hair does not retain much scent from shampoo products, this time I could smell the scent very easily on my hand after running it through my hair. I think it could be considered attractive to the right person and so therefore I recommend this product, especially at this particular price.
Smells Good-Works Okay
Suave Naturals 2-in-1 Almond Verbena Shampoo/Conditioner smells wonderful. It reminds me of coco butter or cookies baking in the oven.As a combination Shampoo with Conditioner it works okay but I still had to add leave in conditioner into my hair to keep the frizz away. It cleans well and my S.O. did mention that my hair was very soft and asked what I had changed-that was a nice surprise.
good value. nice, light scent
As always, Suave makes a great product for less than other brands. This shampoo has a very pleasant scent. The smell is not very strong, but just right. I will say, even though is says it’s shampoo + conditioner, my needs a separate conditioner.
I know this is supposed to be almond verbena but I only could catch the almond scent, unlike the deodorant that had a definite floral odor along with the almonds.I have tried several 2 in 1 shampoos over the years and not been impressed, Usually they don’t feel like they are doing a great job cleaning or conditioning. The liquid is nice and thick and lathers up wonderfully. Rinsing was easy and my hair felt clean. I didn’t condition it and it’s not as soft as it is with a conditioner, but it’s not nearly as dry as it is with regular shampoo. A very nice experience.
Clean and Fresh Hair
I like this shampoo–smells so good! I like almonds but it’s not overprowering at all just a nice light clean smell. The dh doesn’t care for almond flavored foods but doesn’t even notice the smell of the almond shampoo lolThere is a little more conditioner than I like but still does a nice job on my hair.Nice large bottle that will last a long time with just me using. I like the cap too not too much comes out at once.
Almond Verbena goodness.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised and sometimes impressed by Suave’s new line of shampoos and conditioners. This 2-in-1 shampoo is no different.Pros:+ Pleasant and not overly powerful almond-verbena scent. The top note and most dominant note ia almond followed by a soft verbena. Verbena is a lemon scented herb, so it’s a gentle refreshing note when paired secondary to almond and not a bracingly sour citrus as many products can be.+ Gentle to my hair (combination, oil scalp, dry ends). Does not strip the oils off the ends and doesn’t weigh down my hair near the roots.Cons:- After working out my scalp is extra sweaty and I find that shampooing twice feels more clean.- Shampooing twice uses more product.Overall recommended for normal hair. Those with dryer hair can additional use a conditioner of their choice (but then what is the point of 2-in-1?) Those with very oily hair should look for another product.
economic 2 in 1
This shampoo – conditioner 2 in 1 saves time and it sure it an economical deal. I don’t recommend it over the other Suave hair products, yet I think it is a true 2 in 1.The ingredients include cocamide MEA. This is produced from acids in coconut oil and it’s a foaming agent. It’s often used in more expensive brands such as Paul Mitchell. Another ingredient is TEA-dodecylbenzenesulfonate. That’s an effective surfactant; it lowers the surface tension of the liquid to help it get evenly distributed in one’s hair. I was surprised at how effectively this one product both shampooed and conditioned my hair.
A Very Nice Shampoo and Conditoner
Both my wife and I have used this product and are quite pleased with it. The scent is extremely nice and we both like it. As to hair; I have so little that it would be difficult for me to properly evaluate on my own but my wife is quite pleased with the results. This stuff lathers up quite well and our hair does indeed feel quite clean after use. I must say that for the cost involved this is a very nice shampoo and hair conditioner.Don BlankenshipThe Ozarks
Suave Naturals 2 In 1 Almond Verbena Shampoo
I use Suave products all the time and have been very happy with them for many years, I have yet to find a shampoo that is also a conditioner that I like. This made my hair look limp and heavy and dull. Not the result I would want. It was rinsed out well and that was not the problem. This kind of mix of shampoo and conditioner together just seems to not work well together. I would not buy this. I do use their strawberry regular shampoo and their regular conditioner that is strawberry scent and have had great success in it keeping my hair shiny and full looking and easy to manage as well as controlling static electricity, especially this time of year when the furnace is always running so please don’t think that Suave has inferior products because it does not, it’s just this particular blend and it’s like that, from my experience, in all other brands I’ve tried that are cleanser and conditioner combined.
Good for the price.
Suave Naturals 2 In 1 Almond Verbena Shampoo is a good low-priced shampoo/conditioner. Unlike most cheap shampoos, it is gentle on my hair and doesn’t dry it out. The conditioner is very light though. Users with damaged hair will probably want to use a separate stronger conditioner. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering. For those looking for a low cost 2 in 1 shampoo, I recommend Suave Naturals 2 In 1 Almond Verbena Shampoo.
This has been a great shampoo for me. It cleans well, lathers up well, rinses out easily and smells great, but the scent is not overpowering. I like it and will be buying it on a regular basis. I also like that it has conditioner already included in it, which saves me money from not having to buy that separately. It is hypo-allergenic and has vitamin E. Good size bottle at 22.5 ounces. No complaints here. I recommend it.
Simple, Pleasant Scent and Works
My husband and I have both used this and been very pleased with it.It’s easy to squeeze out more than you need, but the price is very reasonable. We both liked the smell and felt the product did a fine job of cleaning and conditioning.Doing the job of two products well and saving the time and water it would take to shampoo and then condition is great. The price is great too. When we’ve used up the single purpose products we have on hand, we’ll likely switch to Suave 2 in 1 products going forward.Easy to fill smaller containers for travel needs and reduces the bottle clutter in the showers. It left our hair clean without tangles and smelled good while we were using it. What’s not to like?
Just what I was looking for
When it comes to my hair, I like things as simple as possible – I keep it short so all I have to do is blow it dry without styling it or even let it air dry if I feel like it. I am the same way about using shampoo – I wash my hair frequently but rarely condition it. Because of this, I like the idea of using a shampoo with a built-in conditioner and have been very pleased with Suave Naturals 2 in 1 Almond Verbena Shampoo. It is large (22.5 ounces) so it will last a long time. It does a good job of washing and conditioning my hair – my hair feels nice and silky when I’m done using it. The one thing I don’t like that much is the almond smell – it can be a bit overwhelming but thankfully doesn’t last that long.Suave Naturals 2 in 1 Almond Verbena Shampoo does a good job.
My wife and my daughters love this product
I got a free sample bottle of this product through the Amazon Vine program and my wife and daughters have been very pleased with the fragrance (my daughter has had comments about how nice her hair has smelled) and the body provided by the conditioner. Plus, you know with Suave the price is going to be right!
would that it was Lemon Verbena *sigh*
those who have read or watched on TV the Little House on the Prarie series of novels will understand.Hypoallergenic shampoo + conditioner in one. I find 2 in 1 products don’t clean as thoroughly as shampoo alone or soften/moisturize as well as a stand alone conditioners. But for preteens or if you are washing your hair daily it works just fine.
This two in one works and smells great. I do use it with a little leave in conditionor since I have very dry hair but I like how it smells and my hair is very clean after I have used it.
Gets the Job Done!
The Suave Naturals 2 In 1 Almond Verbena Shampoo smells delicious! The scent isn’t overpowering and it’s subtle enough to be used by either a guy or girl. The product comes in family size and in my opinion is pretty affordable. Also since it’s 2-1, it’ll reduce the amount of space taken up in your bathroom!I used the product on my oily hair and my hair came out full of body and not just looking but feeling great too. I don’t often use conditioner but sometimes during certain seasons, my hair really needs it. This combo didn’t leave my hair feeling overly greasy after. Just the right amount of shampoo and conditioner in the formula really makes this product deliver well! My hair after washed was left free of tangles too!The hypoallergenic factor won me over right away since I personally as well as others in my family tend to sensitive skin when it comes to certain bath and beauty products. I’ve had no issues whatsoever using this product to cleanse my hair.Overall, I am very happy with this product and will most certainly be nabbing another bottle when this one runs out!
Love the smell, decent hair results
To begin, I am a big fan of the almond verbena smell. It’s a great "clean" fragrance that’s just sweet enough to be interesting and the whole aroma sits well with me. But at the end of the day, this is a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner formula that just doesn’t do a heck of a great job on my hair. I generally like Suave products, but I’ve never cared for this combo formula and there doesn’t seem to be any improvement on the formula. So, my hair is cleansed and softened well enough, but not to the extent of a separate Suave shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels ever so limp. Nothing horrible, mind you, but nothing spectacular.
I’m usually a big fan of Suave shampoo. It’s one of the cheapest brands on the market and it works fine. What’s not to love? This version doesn’t disappoint. It leaves my hair feeling clean and won’t make you pay and arm and a leg for the experience. It smells nice too.
Suave Naturals 2
Suave makes basic hair care products. This product has a nice fragrance and lathers up very quickly. It is a combination shampoo/conditioner so depending on your budget this product provides a new alternative to traditional shampoos.
Suave Naturals 2 In 1 Almond Verbena Shampoo
Suave is a good brand because it is affordable and a good quality product. Our family has used it for a long time. Now with thus 2 in 1 shampoo (something we rarely use) makes it an even better bargain. The almond verbena scent was refreshing and made not only my hair small nice, but the shampoo/conditioner combination gave my hair a nice clean, soft feel and it does the job well!
It has been so weird to start giving Suave products great reviews. I always thought they were just awful. But I have tried some that are just as good as things I was paying much more for.The Suave Naturals 2 in 1 is one of the great ones. It is surprisingly rich and moist. It left my hair feeling fully conditioned and tangle free. I was able to comb it out and my curls sprang up nicely like they do when they are properly moist. The best part is how great is smells. I love this smell. I am not a big fan of vanilla scents. This manages to still smell like cookies with no weird chemically vanilla smell.
I have shoulder-length, colored hair and have pretty strong allergies. So, as you can imagine, I am always on the lookout for any skin or hair product that’s “natural”. This shampoo was therefore something I was quite interested in trying. It worked quite well. My hair (which tends to have a mind of its own) is fairly easy to comb and I have a pretty vibrant (though not unruly) head of hair afterwards. And as I am a wash-and-dry kind of girl, I can confidently say that it’s the shampoo and not my formidable (or otherwise) skills with the blow dryer that are causing me to have a rich head of hair.I do need to caution folks though that the second ingredient listed is sodium laureth sulfate and that does cause allergies. The foaming agent is Cocamide MEA about which there is limited data.Other than those two words of caution, I would say this is a great product at a very reasonable price.
A bit of summer in the winter: Pleasingly scented, value-priced shampoo/conditioner that’s light on moisturizing
I’m not a fan of two-in-one products, whether hair care or something else, so I’ve rarely used them. But as a fan of Suave products (I’ve been using various scented body washes and shampoos over the years, especially in summer when I’m looking for something lighter and a bit fragranced.), who is looking to cut down on time spent in the shower, I thought I’d give it a try.I have very dry, color-treated, wavy-curly hair. I’d been using separate shampoo (L’Oreal Vive Pro) and conditioner (Suave Color Care). Even with the post-shampoo conditioner, I still need leave-in conditioner/styling products on my wet hair. Same case with this but I did save a step.If your hair doesn’t require deep conditioning of the type you can get from using a separate conditioner, this 2-in-1 product may work well for you. As it is, I’ve ended up using this product more frequently than I imagined. I alternate with my regular product routine and, on days when I want to shampoo only my hairline at top and back of neck, this product has worked very well.Granted, it doesn’t offer deep moisturizing but after using, I could still get a comb thru my hair (something I can’t do if I don’t use any conditioner in the shower after shampooing) and it felt pretty silky even when wet and was NOT prone to tangling. But I must confess that I bought it for the scent. Almond and Verbena, especially in summer, are two of my favorite scents. (I’m not big on fragrance in general and due to allergies, no longer wear perfume or any fragrance.) I really liked the lightweight scent on this product, which did not seem to stick to my dry hair–I don’t want my hair to smell like anything! In the winter, it feels like a bit of summer. In the summer, it’s the light fragrance wafting in the shower that makes me feel like I’m in a hair salon or spa getting some special treatment. And it’s a great antidote to heat and humidity and a more pleasant shampooing experience in the summer when almost daily shampooing is a must.
Suave Naturals 2 IN 1 Almond Verbena Smells Heavenly; I Don’t Want to Leave the Shower
Suave is a name I trust; I purchase their products, especially their body lotions, on a regular basis. They are very affordable and are as effective as the more expensive brands. I was thrilled to try the Suave Naturals 2 IN 1 Shampoo + Conditioner Almond Verbena. I love the smell of verbena. My best friend, Sue, introduced it to me. She and I both enjoying using the Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Coconut Lime Verbena Anti Bacterial Foaming Hand Soap (Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Coconut Lime Verbena Anti Bacterial Foaming Hand Soap! NEW Look!).I’m always in a rush to get ready for work and don’t have time to use separate bottles of shampoo and conditioner. I prefer to use them together. Also, I must use conditioner on a daily basis or I will get dandruff. I’ve used other, more expensive, brands of 2 IN 1 Shampoo + Conditioner and they worked well; however, they were very expensive. The Suave Naturals 2 IN 1 is extremely affordable, it smells wonderful, and it leaves my hair feeling clean, soft and voluminous, not greasy, sticky and limp. The only harmful side effect is that I don’t want to leave the shower. So far I haven’t been late to work but I’ve come close. The almond verbena scent disappears rapidly after blow drying my hair. I never notice it during the day. Also, unlike other brands of 2 IN 1 Shampoo + Conditioner, this one lathers very well with only a tiny smudge squirted into my palm. I’ve been using this product for nearly two weeks and haven’t experienced any allergic reactions. It hasn’t stung my eyes or tortured my sinuses. Also, the 22.5 ounce bottle that I received from Amazon is labeled as Family Size. It should last a long time. It can be enjoyed by every member of the family. It is gender and age friendly. The bottle itself is neither masculine nor feminine in appearance. It is easy to grip and hold; however, children with small hands may have some difficulty. They would have an easier time holding a 12 ounce bottle.I would recommend that Suave make a 3 IN 1 Shampoo, Conditioner + Body Wash Almond Verbena. That would be totally awesome. This would save me more money and would be great for taking on trips. Suave has already manufactured a Naturals Body Wash, Almond Verbena (Suave Naturals Body Wash, Almond Verbena, 12 Ounce); therefore, it shouldn’t be too difficult to create a 3 IN 1 Shampoo, Conditioner + Body Wash Almond Verbena. Furthermore, there is a Suave Professionals Mens, Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash, 3 IN 1, Citrus Rush (Suave Professionals mens, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, 3 in 1, citrus rush, 28oz), that I would love to use on a trial basis.Joseph B. Smells amazing, is only so-so for shampoo/conditioner
I tend to stay away from 2 In 1 products for my own hair. I’ve realized that they never condition well enough to give my hair the moisture it needs. I got this on accident and decided that I would use it with my daughter. It doesn’t work for her thicker hair. Her hair was dry and difficult to comb through, even with the added detangler. She cried even after I was down brushing. So, I decided that this would go into my husband’s rotation of products. While I love the smell, he doesn’t care for it. It seems to work okay with him, but he doesn’t condition very often anyways. He just doesn’t care for the scent and would prefer me not to get it again. My recommendation would be to use this for people that don’t need a strong conditioner and prefer the stronger sweet scent.
I didn’t expect to like it
I got this 2 in 1 shampoo kind of by accident. I didn’t realize the "2 in 1" meant shampoo and conditioner together. I was dreading trying it because I thought this is probably going to be bad at both cleaning my hair AND conditioning it. I was really sure I wasn’t going to like it.The reality, though, is it did a very good and gentle job of cleaning my hair and it did condition it enough for times when I am planning to use a leave-in conditioner anyway. It’s not going to deep condition your hair, but then I don’t think that’s really what anyone expects from a 2 in 1. I think this is going to be a great product for me to use when I’m in a hurry…I can use JUST THIS on my hair in the shower, apply leave-in conditioner to towel dried hair and voila! I just saved a ton of time.
2 IN 1
I absolutely love that this is both a shampoo and a conditioner, and that is is so cost effective. I love Suave products in general because they are of good quality for a reasonable price. The two in one products never moisturize as well as using a separate conditioner but this one works very well and smells great, I like the ease of use, smell and clean feeling I get when using this product and my husband likes how it smells and used it also. I used it on my five year old and have not received any complaints from him either.
