great, one of the best professional flatirons

this iron works great, and this is the advertised prices on other sites such as . it heats up in less than 20 seconds, and can reach up to 450 degrees farenheit. the higher settings work better on ethnic hair. i have blonde hair that is long and over processed, but it looks great. my favorite feature is definately the fast heat up, now waking up late doesnt keep me from straightening my hair

Best Straightener I’ve Ever Had…BUT…

Pros:AffordableReally works on my difficult to straighten hairProfessional qualityHigh heatCons:No automatic shut-off featureDoesn’t seem to last as long as other productsI have had two of these straighteners over the past few years and I am about to purchase my third. That is my only complaint, they don’t seem to last very long! Now, I will admit that I occasionally forget to turn my straighteners off when I am done using them which is not only really dangerous, but I think it is affecting the life of my flat iron. I really wish that the Solia had an automatic shut off feature like other flat irons do (where they turn off after an hour or so if not in use).Other than that though, this flat iron works better than any other I’ve ever tried – way better than my GHD in fact!It is difficult to find good flat irons with the larger plates these days. I have very unruly, curly hair just past my shoulders. Although I am Caucasian and my hair is relatively thin I have a really hard time getting it smooth and most flat irons simply will NOT get the job done no matter how many times I pass them over the same section of hair. This one really works and it works quickly. I really like that it leaves my hair super straight and soft.I will add that you should be careful when using this flat iron, it gets REALLY hot and it will FRY your hair if you don’t pay attention to what you’re doing. I didn’t put this in the con’s section because it shouldn’t happen with a little bit of common sense, just don’t turn the heat all the way up the first time you use it: Try a lower setting first and work your way up until you get to a point that works for you without scorching.

Years of use and I’m still as happy as the day I purchased it.

I bought this flat iron several years ago from a different website. I had used many inexpensive flat irons in the past and they really damaged my hair. Plus, I’d only get about a year out of them before they would die. I researched a lot online before I ended up buying the Solia. This is a great quality professional flat iron. My hair is the healthiest that it’s ever been. The flat iron heats up quickly, gets hot enough to straighten my long curly hair in 15 minutes, and has a nice long cord that doesn’t tangle. The cheap flat irons used to take over half an hour to straighten my hair. There are two things you need to keep in mind when using this flat iron:1. This is a professional flat iron, which means that it doesn’t have an automatic shut off. That being said, I think the fact that this flat iron is made to be used frequently is the reason why mine has lasted so many years.2. You must use some sort of heat protectant before you use the flat iron. I usually put some Biosilk Silk Therapy in my wet hair, blow dry, separate into sections, and then flat iron one section at a time.I can’t think of anything negative to say about this flat iron. I love it. Over the years, several friends have used it and have ended up buying the same one because they liked it so much more than theirs. It was definitely worth the cost to me since by now, I would have spent much more money replacing with a cheap one every year.

Great Flat Iron

This is my second time to buy this flat iron. The first one I bought 8 years ago just bit the dust last week so I had to get a new one. But I had no problems with the last one in 8 years so I didn’t even look around, just bought this one again.

Good flat iron.

It works great on straightening my hair, but the thing is, you’ll have to use it with some kind of heat protectant, or it will really damage or burn your hair. I use it with the Sedu Smoothing Spray thingy. It works great with this. Other than that, my hair stays straight for the rest of the day until I shower. Really good. Large surface allows me to iron my hair out quicker.Love this product. I have it 4 stars because it will burn your hair unless you use a heat protectant. but it isn’t that much work. Much cheaper than the Sedu Flat iron.
