Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color, Expresso, 0.31 Fluid Ounce

I love Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish because I am impatient about letting my nails dry. When I try other polishes, I always come back to this one.An added bonus of buying it on Amazon is that it costs less than at most stores, and you can get a “subscription” to the product, timed to when you will need your next bottle.Because the polish is quick-drying, it does dry out and get a little goopy faster than some other polishes. However, this is not much of a deterrent for me because of the convenience, price, and color (Expresso) of the product.The Expresso color is actually the only Insta-Dri color with which I am completely satisfied. It is a mauve-ish, light burgundy-ish, purple-ish, red-ish, color with hints of gray and brown-Kind of a neutral accent. It’s not as bright as a red or as light as a nude, but it still seems classic and is very wearable. I’ve received several compliments. I also like the Cinnasnap color, but it is a little too dark, and Petal Pusher is nice, but it’s difficult to get it on evenly because it is so light.The polish can last from a few days to over a week. I recommend using two coats with a topcoat. Each thin coat takes about 1-2 minutes to dry. If you do two coats plus a topcoat, it will probably take about 10-15 minutes.

I like this brand of nail polish because of the ease of applying it. But, when I received it, the color is not quite what it looks like here. it is a much deeper mauvish tone. I prefer paler tones on my hands.** I am updating this review 6/18/14 ** (because nail polish is so important)I have tried this out and I now love this color now. I love these polishes. The trick is to apply the insta dry no chip top coat right after the first application. I then apply the color over the top coat and put a second insta dry no chip top coat and voila my nails are good to go for a couple of weeks. If you use one coat and no top coat, it will chip easily. It seems like more work but since both polishes dry quick, the process is fast. The brush is wide so be careful.

I love this color and get a lot of compliments on it. Only bad side is that it only looks good 2 days TOPS and usually starts chipping by the end of the second day, even with top coat. I will continue to use since it’s inexpensive though.
