Hot and Handy
My Babyliss hair blower was bought on the recommendation of my hairdresser. It lasted for many years. Trying to buy another (with my list of ‘must-haves’) proved to be difficult. Searching for one that’s fairly quiet, lightweight, ceramic, tourmaline, budget-friendly, etc., proved to be a challenge. After reading reviews, going to beauty supplies and big box stores, I decided that the Rusk W8less hair blower met my needs. At 2000 watts, this is a powerful tool. I have thin, baby fine hair and don’t need to use it at its highest setting. If your hair is thick, this should be more than sufficient for your needs. One of the features I looked for was the ability to clean the screen filter. Over time, hair products and dust can cause the filter to clog, overheat the motor, and prematurely destroy the unit. The Rusk filter can be removed and cleaned. It has multiple settings, including a cool one. An important feature I looked for was a nozzle concentrator. This one allows a thin stream of air to focus on a small section of hair. That means that you won’t be drying/frizzing the surrounding hair as you dry that one section. Should it matter to you, please note that, the nozzle is a dark color, while the dryer itself is more of a light ivory tone. The Rusk is a bit lighter in weight than my old Babyliss. Its weight compares favorably to others on the market today. As a unit with a decent capacity motor and durable housing, the Rusk impressed me.You can buy hair blowers anywhere from around $20 to more than $200. Decide what features you must have and determine your budget. If yours must be ceramic, tourmaline, lightweight, have high wattage, multiple settings, a removable filter, good reviews, and be a great value, then the Rusk W8less is the one to get.
Having a great dryer truly does make a huge difference when styling your hair! I have no complaints! Highly recommend!
Great hair dryer
I did not buy this dryer from this seller on Amazon.I got it at Ulta and I love it.I looked at a lot of dryers and I knew I would have to splurge some, especially since I wanted one that was more quiet than my revlon, fast drying and one a pro at a salon would use. There were some that were over 200 dollars, 100 dollars and this measured up to a lot of the same things they had but cheaper so I picked this one, it was not the cheapest just more in the middle. Plus it had just as much watts as the 100 dollar or more ones as well as ceramic and light weight. It is pricey compared to blow dryers I would get at the drug store, but well worth it. This is the first time I ever spent what I felt like was a lot of money on a blow dryer and got exactly what I payed for without dishing out over 100 dollars! My hair is fine and curly and the Ruske dries it quick and I have much less frizz. I love that it is very light so my arm isn’t sore once I am finished.I like the settings on it and it is very well made, I am sure it will last a long time. It may have a simple style and short neck but I like that, it makes it easier to store and it doesn’t take up a whole lot of room in my drawer. The only negative I have is the nozzle blows off sort of easily but maybe that happens with all dryers…?
Makes my hair look wonderful
I had lost the attachments for my old hairdryer which was a relatively low priced model from a different brand. This Rusk W8less has been a wonderful surprise. I can finally get my hair to look like it would when I come from a professional stylist. My hair is thick and wavy and this hairdryer along with a round brush has worked wonderfully to straighten it without the need of baking my hair with a flatiron. The cord is extra long which allows me to move around my bathroom while I style my hair. There are 3 heat options (warm, hot, and cool) along with several options for low or high strength. It does not come with a diffuser, but the attachments just slip over the top rather than clipping onto hooks so my diffuser from my old model works just fine.
This is my first 2000 watt hair dryer. My last one was 1875 watts, which seemed pretty powerful but took a long time to dry even fine hair. This dryer is so incredible, I don’t even have to use a hot setting. Warm is perfect for fine hair on high speed, and even works well on my daughter’s long thick hair. This dryer is fairly quiet, extremely light, and the concentrator stays put with no problem. This dryer also results in the smoothest, softest hair imaginable in a very short amount of time. I highly recommend.
