so glad i found this

revlon lip butter has been the only lipstick that i have ever been able to wear. my lips dry easily and i don’t like the stickiness or other glosses. brown sugar is my favorite shade but they are all great. they don’t have the staying power of most lipsticks, but they are very low maintenance, which is what i go for.

My second favorite nude hue in the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter line!

If you’re like me you’ve been bombarded with print and television ads of actress Emma Stone (Crazy Stupid Love) repping Revlon’s newest product, the Colorburst Lip Butters. Released in 20 different colors with dessert-inspired names, the lip butters were presented as being ultra-hydrating and luscious as well as long-lasting. And, honestly, what girl wouldn’t want to look like Emma Stone?I picked up four of these on sale at my local CVS for around $5 each with coupon and promotions. The packaging for these lipsticks is a rectangular plastic quilted-pattern tube. The frosty color of the tube reflects the color of the product inside, which is nice and there is a clear plastic window at the very top of the tube so you can look inside and get an idea of what the color actually looks like (good move, Revlon).Brown Sugar is a beautiful nude brown hue with a tinge of pink to soften it and a bit of frost (very subtle, though). It definitely applies more sheerly than some of the other lip butter colors. I think it enhances my natural lip color and I love the staying power. This is more of an everyday color that enhances your lips but doesn’t scream “I’m wearing makeup!” After Creme Brulee it is my favorite nude color of the line. I think this color is versatile enough that it could suit most skintones, which is another great bonus. I’m so glad I picked this up and it is definitely the reason I went out and bought even more of the lip butters (I have six so far!).Revlon’s lip butters contain mago butter, Shea butter and jojoba oil, so they do live up to their claim of being ultra moisturizing. Considering this I was surprised by how pigmented they are as well. And, unlike many other department store cheap-o lip products, these lip butters don’t have an artificial fragrance or a rancid taste. They are comparable to higher end makeup brands.Right now these lip butters are getting a lot of hype so you’ll often find the displays raided at your local drug store. Keep checking! These are going to be a permanent part of Revlon’s product line!

great color

i have a fair to medium complexion that looks good with saturated pigments. i typically wear rich plums to burgandy on my lips. this is a beautiful color, i’d say it actuallybplays up the color of my own lips. it is rich and goes on smooth. i wouldn’t say this color has lasting power, more like a stronger lip gloss in terms of staying power, however since it enhances my own lip color it wears well.To me it is similar to black honey by Clinique.

great color

this is such a pretty color of the Revlon colorburst lip butter. I have no idea why they discontinued it. it goes on creamy and lasts a long time. a great neutral that goes with many skin tones.

REVLON Colorburst Lip Butter, Brown Sugar

I bought this and L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Balm (Caramel Comfort) at the same time. I’ve seen bloggers say that the Revlon Colorburst Creme Brulee lost to L’Oreal’s Caramel Comfort when they were compared. So, I opted for a darker shade and picked Brown Sugar. When compared to L’Oreal, I would say the color is more visible but both brands have a great consistency and I love the moisture it packs. Package-wise, I say Revlon wins because the cap is secure and I’m not worried about keeping it in my purse. This is a warm nude color that works well alone or over other lip products.

Great

One of the great colors in the lip butter line by Revlon. I own multiple colors as I’m a make up junkie! This is a highly pigmented brown and goes on as a nude or slightly pink depending on your lip pigmentation. It has a very buttery consistency and lasts a long time.

Shimmer to brown

Well im not a big fan of this lipstick by its self, I have pigmented lips so it goes on a little grey witch I don’t like, but when I put a little of clear lipgloss over the color the brown pops out. So over all i do like it but if you have pigmented lips and don’t like that grayish shimmer then I would suggest using clear lip gloss over it to get that mocha color

Great for non-lipsticky color

I really like this stuff. It isn’t moisturizing really; in fact it pulls slightly on my lips when applying, but I like the way Vaseline Lip Therapy feels. It goes on semi-sheer, isn’t sticky, and is a perfect neutral for a deep autumn. I want people to say “You look radiant” not “I like your lip color”. This accomplishes that.
