Raw Mango Butter 16 oz by Generic

Mango butter is obtained from the kernels of the mango tree. It possesses a high content of stearic acid which makes it similar to cocoa butter. Mango butter has good emolliency and lends protection against the sun. It is said to prevent drying of the skin and formation of wrinkles. Mango butter also reduces degeneration of skin cells and restores elasticity. Mango butter’s hardness makes it a great butter for stick formulations such as lip balm and lotion bars. It can be used “as is” to provide relief from the dryness of eczema and psoriasis. Ingredients: Mangifera indica (Mango) Seed Butter

I love this butter

I switched to this product to make my hair butter because Shea butter causes my hair to become fragile and break off. My hair doesn’t break off while using this product for my hair and my hair retain moisture for 3 to 4 days. P.s I’m African American who is natural with very thick hair and hair that sucks up everything I put in it and that why I love this mango butter because my hair now retains moisture .

First Time Trying Mango Butter

I mixed this mango butter into my homemade leave-in hair conditioner and used it after my co-wash. I also use other essential oils plus shea butter. I was concerned my final recipe would be little heavy, but my hair loves it and it turned out soft and very moisturized. The final result whipped into a light soufflé. I like variety in my homemade recipes and this mango butter will definitely be a staple in my natural hair care routine and maintenance. The ingredients for my homemade recipe: Shea butter, mango butter, olive oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil, vitamin E oil, jasmine oil for fragrance. (I melt the butters first by putting them in a small bowl and sitting the smaller bowl in a larger shallow bowl of hot water). I whip all the ingredients together with a hand blender. I place the final whip into a clean plastic BPA free bowl with a lid and will place it in the freezer for 15 minutes to set. Thereafter, I place the leave-in conditioner back in the frig until I’m ready to use it.The amounts of butter and oils can be tweaked depending on your hair needs and amount of conditioner you want to make at one time. I tend to make enough to last no more than 2 weeks and I keep all my finished homemade products stored either in the refrigerator or a cool place like my linen closet. I’ve never had a batch go bad, but I tend to make only enough to last for 1-2 weeks. I also use this as a general skin balm conditioner as well.

Excellent!

I warmed this up with shea, almond oil, jojoba, and coconut oil… and a few drops of sweet orange oil for a nice skin butter for my mother. She has very dry and (hopefully she never sees this) scaly skin. I always worry about her keeping hydrated. I feel like I’ve created a good seal to keep moisture from leaving from her skin, and as long as I keep her drinking a lot of water she should be fine! :)Together the mix is silky smooth and absorbs very well. I used it as an alternative to cocoa butter which I hear is not entirely noncomedogenic .

Interesting butter

When I ordered the “Mango Butter”, I really didn’t know what to expect. I never tried it before and I’m always open to new things. It’s a pretty simple product. Nothing really glamorous about the packaging. The butter doesn’t have a fragrant smell at all. I actually mixed some of my oils in it to loosen it up a bit.

Hard as rock!

This is the first time I’ve ever ordered raw mango butter. Now, in the picture, it looks nice and soft and I actually don’t think what I got in the mail is what is pictured. The stuff I got is in a plastic container, not really breakable, so the package is in excellent condition. But I didn’t order the packaging, I ordered the butter. It’s hard. Like, really hard. I even tried using it for my lotion bars to try and see if it would soften up with other oils and things as such. Not really. It’s not really moisturizing either. So this was a huge bummer.

MANGO BUTTER CREAM?? BUT THE AD ON AMZ SAYS RAW MANGO BUTTER??

Do some research before you buy this product. I’m not sure if it is truly raw. It says mango butter CREAM on the package.

Really Good Product.

My skin and my hair really loves this mango butter. The product was well packaged, it was received in a sealed container which I liked. I love it so much I am gonna get another tub for my boyfriend who really wants to use it on his dreadlocks. This product really helps to seal in moisture and adds great shine to hair. I prefer to use it in my hair as opposed to shea butter.

Premium Quality

The raw mango butter I received is a clean color with relatively little scent and mixes well with other oils. I am particularly glad that it has little scent so that when I choose to scent it with essential oils there is no combat. I have found a good butter that I will continue to reorder as long as it arrives as well as this has. Delivery was timely. I recommend
