just as good as Smashbox, Lancome, etc

I have liquid pen-style eyeliners from SmashBox, Lancome, Tokidoki, Kat Von D, etc, and I find myself using this liner the most, even though it’s half the price. It gives just as fine and precise of a line, plus it has the added benefit of lash-boosting serum!

black isn’t so black

I have been using this product for about 6 months and this is only my 2nd pen I have purchased but this isn’t anything like the first one. This is almost like a watered down black, it isn’t as black as the first one and isn’t as fluid. You have to run it on a kleenex quite a bit. I would still recommend just bec when it does work, it is so easy to use. Just like using an ink pen tracing a line or drawing.

Works as expected

Works well and stays on for the entire day. I don’t know about the lash-boosting effect, I haven’t seen it at all but the eyeliner part is fine. It could be darker, but does apply very well. Lasted me for about a month with daily use.

Read the ingredient list before buying

I am disappointed that the seller has not listed the product ingredients. This is a requirement for product labeling but does not appear to be a requirement of for product listings.I went to Physicians Formula’s website and found a product listing for what I think is the same product. It was listed under the name of “Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum” in black.Product list:Water. Ethylhexyl Acrylate/Methyl Methacrylate Copolymer. Butylene Glycol. SD Alcohol 40. Beheneth-30. Ammonium Acrylates/Methyl Styrene/Styrene Copolymer. Glycerin. Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17. 1,2-Hexanediol. Acrylates/Octylacrylamide Copolymer. Caprylyl Glycol. Ethylhexylglycerin. Pentylene Glycol. Polyglyceryl-3 Disiloxane Dimethicone. Phenoxyethanol. Sodium Hydroxide. Disodium EDTA. Black 2.Chemicals of concern:Butylene Glycol, the third ingredient in this product is a potential irritant to the skin, eyes and lungs according to Skin Deep Database. I looked into this further as the information on the database was limited and found the Material Data Safety Sheet for Butylene Glycol. Keep in mind this is an industrial safety sheet for proper handling, but also consider this is a chemical you are placing in your eye every day.According to’s MSDS sheet it lists Butylene Glycol as:”Potential Acute Health Effects: Hazardous in case of skin contact (irritant), of eye contact (irritant), of ingestion, of inhalation (lung irritant).” If this is considered an irritant why have it in a product used around the eyes and have it as the third ingredient.I am surprised by this list given Physicians Formulas reputation as providing hypoallergenic products and disappointed.Having said this, there are going to be people who do not react to these ingredients for a variety of reasons, however, if you do have sensitivities be sure to read the product lists and do your homework on the ingredients, especially if using around the eye area.

Physicians Eyeliner

I like it because of it being hyper genic……much better for my eyes. It had a very smooth applying action.

So Easy!

I used to have so much trouble applying liquid eyeliner–that is, until I found this one!! This is SOOO easy to apply!! I am absolutely in LOVE with it! It is so much easier to use than the other liquid liners. There is something so different with this felt-tip pen! You’re so much more in control. I do wish it came in a larger variety of colors, however, I’m happy with Ultra Black for now.

This one has stood the test of time.

I have been buying this product since it came out and will continue to use it as long as it’s around. It provides complete and total control. You can get the right amount of coverage just by the amount of pressure you apply the line with. I usually set it afterward with a tiny bit of light powdered shadow to give it a softer look and help it stay on longer. If I forget to take it off, it’s still there in the morning (and not underneath my eyes). It does run out eventually but I have found that if I place it in a cup with the cap down for about ten minutes it usually infuses the applicator and I can get a few more weeks out of it.

My favorite liquid liner ever!

This is yet another blogging recommendation and it was one of my best purchases yet! I can’t believe I went so long without using this liner. It now goes in my "everyday" section in my makeup drawer, along with my foundation and mascara. Its a lovely opaque color that goes on really smooth and even. The brush tip is really easy to create thick or thin lines and is really great for wingtip and cat-eye (My favorite liner styles). Once it sets, it stays on really well, even through a 14 hour day. The best part, it really does grow thicker, longer lashes! Within a couple of weeks I noticed I had really thickened by lash line, then I noticed those lashes were getting longer and fuller. I know every person reacts to different products in their own unique ways, but this is a definite HG product for me. Would definitely recommend to those looking for fuller lashes and/or a good standard liquid liner. Luckily this is easy to find and the price tag is a fraction of the cost for other products that claim to do the exact same thing! Go get it!
