- OPI The Russian Collection Russian Navy R54
still getting used to it
I love the way matte’s look on others & I thought navy would be a really cool shade to try for the fall. I haven’t tried the polish yet because I am waiting for the fall to show it off. I do know that mattes will chip easily but after reading a few reviews about a matte top coat I’ll purchase a bottle of that too. I think matte colors are very chic!
Not NAVY & not MATTE!
First of all, it looks more like dark purple than navy – I have exactly the same alreadySecond, the pic shown online is matte, which should be NM R54, but when I receive I realize it is normal Russian Navy, which is NL R54!I would for sure return it if it was refundable….
A Gorgeous Deep Navy Polish
This color in the container looks like its going to be a deep eggplant with irredescent shimmer. But when you paint it on your nails its a beautiful deep navy color which in different lights can look purple, blue, or a little on the black side. It takes a few coats of polish to get a nice cover on the nail. A great touch would be to add a mattifying top coat to the color, it looks really nice. You can still see the shimmer but its more muted but not dull. Great for any skin tone (i’m darker skinned and this just makes tan skin pop)
My wife got hotter.
I usually purchase OPI on Amazon for my wife as a nice surprise every couple weeks–roughly 25 bottles in now and all have arrived in perfect condition. My wife has pretty pale (gasp) white skin so dark colors look great on her. I purchased this one and it looks really nice. But let’s face it, women wear polish for women, not for men. That said, my wife loves the color which means of course I am also satisfied. As I am told, this is typical OPI, meaning it’s of superior quality.
Love love love it!!!
This is definitely one of my top 5 favorite color! I don’t thin this is selling in Australia, everyone saw it love it!I also use nail stamp on top of it and it looks great. Without doing much housework, mine last for a week!!!
