Another winning Liquid Sand polish
I truly wasn’t sure if I would like the “textured polish” fad that seems to be occuring right now, but I started with “Stay the Night” and quickly jumped in with both feet – buying the remaining Mariah Carey liquid sand polishes (as well as her other shades in this collection – I just LOVE all of the colors!) Get your number is an awesome shade of “Cookie Monster Blue” (as coined by my husband), with various sized sparkles. The first coat is very thin, but builds up quickly to opacity – I can get away with 2 coats and some touch ups in spots. The texture isn’t weird or displeasing… and it’s a complete conversation starter. I don’t know if it’s because I had bright blue nails, but it had people looking, and asking to touch so they could see the texture themselves. The only time I haven’t liked it is when I was folding laundry and grabbed a microfiber towel – I hate those things anyway, but the annoying feel just became more apparent as it rubbed against my nails. Urgh. Because of this, I don’t think I’d ever put the textured polishes on my toes, to avoid the same feeling if I were wearing socks.Overall though, I totally recommend getting any of the shiny textured polishes – I have all of the OPIs, and am chomping at the bit to get their next textured polish from the Oz collection. Zoya’s Pixie Dust polishes are amazing as well, and totally worth the buyFor anyone who enjoys experimenting with nail color, this polish is definitely for you!
My Favorite Polish!
This color Is so beautiful!! Especially in the sunlight, or in the water while swimming. It feels rough like sand too! The color lasts about two weeks without chipping. You just apply the OPI base coat then two coats of this color. I am going to buy another bottle soon just to have ready when this one runs out!
If you like liquid sand polishes, you’ll like this!
This nail polish looks great – I love the look of the liquid sand. The blue is just the right intermediate shade. I really like the feel of the sand polishes, but if you don’t like rough feeling polish, then it isn’t for you. I apply two coats over a base coat and with some touch-ups (which are very easy with this texture), can make the polish last an entire work week. It does take a little more work to remove it all traces of this polish, but I personally think it’s worth it.
I love opi polish
All of my friend’s an coworkers love the color I like my color its great it don’t chip and it don’t come off so easy ethier
Glitter Polish that works! (NOT for heavy work)
I actually like this polish a lot! It does have a rough finish to it (why its called Sands). It seems as if the glossy polish just evaporates to leave the color and sparkles. You are not supposed to put a top layer on so we’ll see how well it lasts. I am rough with my hands so we’ll see what happens.*UPDATE*So not even three days later and it has already started to chip. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but I am disapointed. Was hoping it would actually stay longer. Oh well. Time for a re-do.All in all-if you work with your hands a lot expect this to chip fairly soon.
