- Non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores)
- Available in Light Tint and Untinted
I needed a good sunblock for my face year round, and this is not it. Though it smells nice, otherwise it was a disappointment.I don’t have oily skin, its pretty dry in the cheek/forehead area – but I figured oil-free isn’t a bad idea and I looked for something that said it wouldn’t clog pores. The largest downside to this stuff is: REALLY shiny, greasy(despite saying non-greasy formula on the bottle) and slick and in the summer, it just wasn’t comfortable for me. I felt my hair getting caught on my face because it was so greasy when you start to sweat. For sunscreen to be effect you’re suppose to use a healthy dollop, but I was only using a tiny 1/2 pea size. Instead of continuing use I handed this off to my boyfriend and purchased a coppertone sunscreen especially used for faces and its much better, though I plan to eventually just get a moisturizer with built in 30 SPF or greater. Look elsewhere if you need this for your face! If it’s for the occasional beach visit, its fine and the high 45 SPF is great though you should go even higher.
One of the best in Neutrogena line.
Pros:It’s sheer, lightweight, fast absorbing, unscented, non greasy but moisturizing, with helioplex in it.Cons:small tube only 1.7 oz., comparatively too expensive at $16.26 and only SPF50.I prefer Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock lotion SPF70 2.5 oz.for $9.92.
this sunscreen is the bomb!!!
I scoured Amazon trying to find the best sunscreen since I do peels on my face, and I read all the reviews on this one and believe me, they’re right. It goes on great, not greasy, doesn’t leave your face with that white tint, doesn’t sting your eyes, not heavy, doesn’t clog your pores and it has helioplex which is good for your skin. . I love this I’m hooked and it will be the one and only sunscreen I use from here on. .
Serious moisture, serious sunscreen.
I live in Florida and use this on my face as my daily moisturizer. I am at high risk for skin cancer (have already had some Mohs surgery on my face), so I take all the precautions I can. I don’t use this on my neck, however, only on my face, and I cover it with a light dusting of mineral face powder with SPF 20. This totally blocks the sun, and keeps my skin soft, moist, and unwrinkled. My dermatologist approves.
Feels light on my skin.I have acne prone skin and this doesn’t cause any irritation. It does not clog my pores.I use it on my face everyday!
Recommended by my dermatologist
My dermatologist noticed that the left side of my face is darker than my right side, probably because of the UV rays my left side gets while I’m driving. Even though I was using a moisturizer with SPF, she said that the number was too low, and recommended this. It has SPF 50, so it’ll block those aging, damaging rays. I have no idea what helioplex is, but it sounds all scientific-y. It’s inexpensive for a really good moisturizer. It absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. Neutrogena is a quality brand. My only complaint is that it smells more like suntan lotion than a moisturizer, but hey, less fragrance chemicals for your skin, so that’s a good thing.
