Absorbs into the skin rather than sitting on top

This is a terrible concealer. It has adequate SPF, but that is all it is good for. Since it is absorbed into the skin very quickly, the concealing effect is short-lived, maybe an hour or so. (This concealer is supposed to function as an eye cream, too. Maybe that is why it is so easily absorbed?) A good concealer needs to sit on top of the skin to mask discoloration.Because I wanted to believe I could still use the product in some way, I tried using it as a moisturizer/SPF, and applying a “good concealer” to select places under the eye that are the darkest, hoping to achieve an overall natural look. No luck. This product with additional concealer over it looked cakey and emphasized the fine lines under my eyes. I looked worse with the product on than I did with no makeup at all!It also did not keep the area under my eyes hydrated.Rather than using a single product to do all three jobs, I recommend using an eye cream with mineral SPF first, then applying a high quality concealer on top of it to cover dark under eye circles after the cream has moisturized the eye area. I think the effect will be better using two or three different products instead of this poorly-designed attempt at using only one. This product gets an A for intent, but a D- for performance. Disappointing. Good thing it was cheap. I don’t feel that bad about tossing it.

Works for me

I prefer the squeeze tube to the kind on a wand dauber. Covers well and feels good. A tube lasts a long time.Edited to add that it is a bit translucent, as another reviewer has complained. Doesn’t bother me, as I put powder on top of it. It won’t cover *serious* color differences by itself, though. On the other hand, it looks very natural if you just dab on a bit without powder, assuming what you wish to cover is minor to moderate.

Coverage just okay…

This product works fairly well (especially when you consider the lower price compared to other concealers). I use this under my eyes and find that the coverage is a little “thin”. But I really don’t need much coverage so it works fine for me. If you have really dark circles, this is probably not the product for you.

Tinted moisturizer for eyes & concealer booster

I picked this product up recently because Ulta can’t keep my favorite concealer’s shade in stock, and I’ve been on a frantic search for good under eye concealers. Neutrogena’s 3-in-1 is by no means a miracle product, but I like it and I think I’ll keep getting it. The benefits are that it serves as a moisturizing eye cream and has SPF 20. I use Retin A Micro and Clindamycin on my skin and sometimes deal with flaky peeling skin patches usually around my eye area. This helps tame that. The consistency is lightweight and basically a tinted moisturizer for under your eyes. I use powder mineral foundation and this cream sets up nicely with the help of setting spray. The coverage is sheer to medium, not enough for my preference, but I find this good to be a base for a fuller coverage concealer. I was layering it under a yellow powder mineral concealer mixed with foundation and it worked nicely. But I just took the plunge and bought Make Up For Ever Full Cover #1. This stuff makes up for the other favorite I can’t find, maybe I’ll even stick to it from now on. The Full Cover has amazing coverage, but the consistency isn’t too creamy and needs to be blended quick. The salesgirl at Sephora advised me to moisturize before using it. Hmm…I have a light concealer that needs some substance and a heavy duty one that needs a moisturizing base. They work together beautifully. This is a very good product, and whoever buys it can benefit from it somehow and make it work their way.I know this review must give the impression that I’m some sort of high maintenance makeup junkie, but a good under eye concealer is a necessity for me and it’s hard to find. Haven’t we all been there–trying to find the perfect product? I hope this can be helpful to everybody 🙂

It works amazing. I have deep circles under my eyes and this is not too heavy for me. But – i wish there was a correcting concealer out there. This just hides – it doesn’t fix the problems.
