I love this blush and wasn’t able to find it at sephora anymore. I was so glad that I was able to get it at amazon. Not sure what I will do when this product is no longer available.
Packs a punch!
I wanted a pinkish-coral blush for the days when I was wearing browns and fall colors. This is a beautiful blush! It truly IS a pinkish/coral..which is really hard to find. A little goes a long way. The pigment is rich and vibrant. If you are looking for a fall blush, this is it. 6 stars!
It is natural and super cute, I never use one blush so I paired it with Laguna as a contour and madly as a blush and put penny lane on my apples it look super cute and natural. And if you can order cactus flower it is so pigmented and easy to use you will not regret it.
Great pigmentation and easy to use
I have two of Nars’ powder blushes (in Orgasm and Mata Hari) and love them. I recently read a book with makeup tips for aging women (I’m 39), and it said to use cream blushes for a “dewier” and younger look. I picked up a few cream blushes, including Nars’ cream blush in Penny Lane, and really do notice that the cream blushes don’t sink into my dry patches or accentuate my fine lines the way that powder blushes do.As with the Nars power blushes I own, this cream blush is exceptionally pigmented and so you only need to use a small amount. (Since the price on this is high, it’s nice to know that it will last a long time!) I just use my clean fingers to tap it on and blend into my cheeks. Occasionally I’ll blend it out a bit with a kabuki brush, but using just my fingers is quick and easy — and still works perfectly! As for the color I picked, Penny Lane is a light, sheer color that can be built up for more color. I’m fair (in MAC makeup, my skin color is NW20) and it imparts a light, lovely flush that is perfect for the office. It also lasts all day.If you like cream blushes, I also recommend Illamasqua’s blushes and Tarte’s cheek stains. All three products leave you looking glowy and lit-from-within, as opposed to looking cakey and powdery.
I love Penny Lane. Oh my I love it. I’m fair skinned and I put this on my apples and orgasm on my cheek bones (round face, so I have both). LOVE.
Natural flush, great on redheads! PENNY LANE
Normally I avoid blush, I have enough natural flushing and don’t want to look like a fever victim. I have very pale (NW/NC15) skin and copper/auburn hair at the moment.Very few blushes actually look good on my complexion, the NARS Deep Throat being a recent exception. I don’t like smeary makeup and normally avoid cream blush like the plague, but lots of folks are raving about PENNY LANE and I had to have it.I applied this with the contour brush from this setreal Techniques Core Collection Setover my foundation, just lightly buffed it in. You barely have to touch the brush to the surface of the blush, to pick up any color. This color gives a lit-from-within glow, and is very buildable. For ladies who like the look of obvious blusher, this won’t be for you. If you are of a mind that blush should look like a natural healthy flush of color, you’ll like this. I’m not sure how well it will show up on darker skin tones. For me, it was love at first sight! I’ll be going from once a week blush wear to every day blush wear! I even used it on my eyes and lips to try it out, and it imparts just a hint of color, very natural looking. It also doesn’t fade, crinkle, or migrate! It lasts and lasts. I topped off my makeup with MAC Pressed translucent primer powderMAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder / PressedLove this! I’d like to say it’s a repeat purchase but this blush is so economical, I may never need to buy another again. I gagged at $28 for a blusher, but now that I’ve used it and see what a quality item it is, it beats any $5 drug store blush any day.
