So this is what Maybelline has to say about its newest foundation:WHY YOU’LL LOVE ITGet flawless, shine-free skin instantly and on-the-go for tailor-made mattifying coverage. The anti-shine core has ultra-lightweight powders built in to the stick foundation to instantly dissolve excess oil. Available in 12 oil-free shades.FOR BEST RESULTSApply to your face and blend evenly with your fingertips. This is what Maybelline DOESN’T say about its newest foundation:The coverage is sheer but can be built up slightly, it is easy to blend – I do it with my fingers – and doesn’t look fake or cakey. It will only be “flawless” if you have good skin to begin with and/or use a decent concealer underneath because it IS on the sheerer side of foundation land. If you have extremely oily or troublesome skin you may want to stick with a more mattifying formula and/or powder. It wears for a good 6 hours on me without needing powder but I use a primer underneath and I use a finishing powder on top. I’m super oily. Without those two additional steps I’m looking shiny much sooner. The result with these three steps is beautiful and natural and I love, love, love that the foundation is so very portable and affordable and it doesn’t make my skin break out! I’ve tried another brand (BB) that cost roughly $40.00 and the results weren’t nearly as good and to make matters worse that darn thing broke me out something terrible. Into the trash it went. But not this one. I’ve been using it over two weeks and have not experienced any reactions.I definitely recommend this. The color options for the super fair are fantastic and the lightest shade 110 matches my ghostly pallor perfectly.
After using Max Factor pan stick for years, it was no longer available in my area. I wasn’t about to be sucked dry by the high prices charged for it online so I decided to try Maybelline’s pan stick. The price is excellent and so is the product. I found the coverage to be good and didn’t find it greasy at all.
This product is amazing! I have come to love it over pricier concealer from MAC and DIOR. It matches the shade of my skin perfectly and has amazing coverage, which for me is a huge problem. I have combination blotchy skin and his product covers so well and leaves a beautiful matte finish. I would recommend to anyone!
Won’t wear it again it like a mask it rubs right off:-)
great for contouring
I bought it because a Makeup artist recommended it on a Professional makeup Perfecting Class and she was right. It doesn’t shine or crease and it blends perfect with foundation
An average product
It is not great but neither is it bad; just an average stick makeup. I have dry skin and suspect it might work better on oily skin because I thought it made my face look a bit dryer.
Great for short term wear.
I was looking for a dupe for my Benefit Play Sticks (shade: Spin the Bottle) and wanted to check this one out. I am a fair girl with pink undertones, so finding a match is tough. I do have to say that the 120 Shade is a perfect match for me. It comes with a "powder" core to help it set itself with a ring of foundation around the outside. This is a sheer to medium coverage. Id say with daily use, you could get a month out of the stick.Pros:The color is right, it glides over the skin well and blends nicely.Cons: It tends to separate as the day progresses. It doesn’t always play well when mixed with other products. For example, I have to be careful on which moisturizer I use before and which powder I use to set or else it looks very heavy handed or too dewy.Overall: if you are a simple makeup girl/guy looking for an everyday run around town base, this works. It is affordable and easy to throw in a bag and go. I would avoid it for long nights out or very sweaty days.
I have always wore top of the line foundation , I was looking at the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try, I have to say that I was impressed! No powder needed and it covers very well, it seems to stay on most of day without any touch ups , it covers all blemishes and it doesn’t settle in any of my fine lines, however , I blend very well in order for that not to happen. I would give it a try , who knows you may love it!!!
Love it! Just what I was looking for
I love this foundation stick! It was just what I was looking for and I’ve tried a LOT of different BB creams, CC creams, and traditional foundations of all varieties (cake, liquid, mix of both, etc). I was searching for a product that could give a light cover under my eyes — but don’t like how foundation makes my fine lines and wrinkles more visible. This stick doesn’t do that! It’s very sheer and goes on easily – I put it under my eyes like a football linebacker then blend with my finger. If that’s not enough coverage, I put a second application on. It does the job perfectly – covers my dark circles but does NOT make my fine lines stand out. My skin is soft and smooth and it looks like I’m not wearing foundation at all. I set the top with powder and a bronzer when I finish my makeup and it stays on all day/night. I’m loving it!
For my combination dry and normal skin, this product was nothing short of a miracle. I honestly thought it was only a concealer, so I only used it as a concealer while I used liquid foundations. Operative word: different liquid foundations. I was on the hunt for the perfect one, but they all seemed to not work cause I still look super haggard and it looked like I wasn’t wearing makeup at all. After accidentally coming up on a YouTube review for this foundation, I realized I can actually use it for the whole face. Lol.So I did and guess what? My search is over. It was with me all the while…………the search is over.. it was right ..before my eyes…This one did major coverage without seeming fake, it wasnt as thin as the liquid foundations. It leaves a semi powdery residue YET it doesn’t leave your face looking like its fully caked or anything. You might need to re-apply after 5-6 hours though.I use Maybelline primer before using this, by the way.
What a great makeup
This makeup is imbued with powder as well. It goes on smoothly, but it feels like you really aren’t wearing it. My only complaint would be that it does not last as long as other foundations I’ve tried that were stick based.Be sure to get your color right. I opted for the shade I normally use in other foundations and found in this brand, it was much too dark for me.I took this with me on a recent 2 week trip. It travels well. No oooey gooey mess, or a possibility of such as you have with liquid foundation. Loved that fact.
I use this for contouring and it is absolutely amazing. I will buy more for sure, it is an absolutely amazing product!
My Favorite Foundation
I have used both high end and drug store foundations. This is my all time favorite. It covers well but is not heavy looking. It gives natural and flawless coverage. I like the consistency and the packaging of this product. Very nice for travel as well. I like this a lot better than liquid foundation. The price is right too, I use this every day and have put my other foundations aside, including my too faced Naked in which I spent $30.00 on. Give it a try I think you will like it.
Drying and doesn’t cover well
If you want a good covering foundation this isn’t it. It’s too drying and doesn’t cover all that well. Even my hyperpigmentation on my face can’t get covered so don’t even bother. It made my skin flake so it turned out to look bad though maybe a little moisturizer might help, but I still don’t like it.
Use for contouring
Not sure how this would work as a straight foundation, but I purchased in the Toffee shade to use as a cream contour. It works great, and is neither too orange nor too yellow…very neutral. Also has lovely silky texture and great staying power.
