Didn’t know what I was getting!
I purchased this simply to add gold to my collection of nail polishes. When I used it, I found what I had purchased was a holographic polish that is more than just a gold color. I am very happy with the purchase.
Perfect, classy gold
This polish is the exact shade of gold I was looking for (not too yellow). It applies evenly and dries to be very metallic and glossy. My only complaint is that it chips relatively easily without a top coat.
I don’t get where the “holographic” part comes in, but this polish has a bold metallic finish which is immediately eye-catching. I purchased this mainly for stamping, but used it as a nail colour for a party. I was running late and did not apply a topcoat… like another reviewer mentioned it chips relatively easily without coverage. I had not noticed that before then because when I stamped I always used a topcoat and never had a problem. also, when used for stamping, the polish is very difficult to remove from the plate unless 100% acetone-soaked cotton is laid on it for at least a minute.
i liked this and i use it for party outfits, doesnt last too much time but for the price i think is good
Discovering I love the Maybelline Holographic nail polishes. Already had one in a beautiful green. Goes on thin; I used 2 coats and got a nice, shiny medium lavender. Might try 3 coats sometimes.I did think it would stay on a little longer, though. I used both OPI under and over coats.
More Like Bronze
I was disappointed with the color as it was much closer to bronze than gold. I found that it chipped easily too.
