Best mascara ever
I truly think this is the best mascara ever. Okay, I’ve only tried a handfull in my lifetime, but this is my favorite so far. It’s really black and makes my lashes look even longer than they are. I also like the brush thingie as it seems to separate your lashes for you so you get that perfect mascara look, instead of a clumpy mess like you get with most drug-store mascaras. Also, you can’t beat the price!
I’ve been using this mascara for years and nothing compares. It is just a very good mascara, super black and it enhances your eyelashes beautifully 🙂
Doesn’t live up to the hype
I am really unimpressed with this mascara and it irritates me that it makes every “Best of Beauty” list. It is watery and the brush is too small. When I apply this mascara, it does little to build volume or length. I also find that it smudges as the day goes on and ends up straying into the crease under my lower lash line. Not a good look. I’m giving it two stars because it is moderately better than no mascara at all and it did not irritate my eyes. However, if you’re looking for a drugstore mascara, I recommend Covergirl Lashblast in either the Fusion or the original orange tube.
GREAT OPTION AT A LOW COST
I have been on a hunt for a cheaper option to replace my favorite mascaras:Dior DiorShow Black Out Mascara Kohl Black 099($28),Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Lash Mascara($21) orChanel Inimitable Intense Mascara – # 30 Marine – 6g/0.21oz($38). The price of these mascaras keep going up and I figure there has to be a cheaper option available that is just as good.I have tried many different types of mascara with mostly dismal results. I did likeMaybelline New York Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Washable Mascara, Very Black 971, 0.22 Fluid Ouncebut only as a second coat over another mascara.Everyone raves about Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara so I decided to give it a twirl. I did love how it defined and added some heft to my wimpy lashes but was less thrilled by the mascara that flaked off or left marks on my eyelids while applying. This might be the fault of the applier (me) but it was annoying to clean off mascara marks left on my eyelids after my eye makeup was done which required redoing sections of makeup on occasion. On the plus side, it is not too clumpy and does not leave lumps of mascara on your lashes when applying. The price is a bargain and it does provide a dark and thick cover for my eyelashes when applied carfully. I will keep this one on hand until I find a better one.
The ultimate affordable mascara
My quest for the perfect drugstore brand mascara has ended! Who would have guessed that I ended up with Maybelline Great Lash, the original formula that’s been around since before I was born? I have nothing bad to say about this product. The applicator wand is fabulous and allows me to create long, defined lashes and build up the product to get the look I want. The mascara doesn’t clump, it doesn’t flake…it’s perfect! And it’s so cheap that it’s practically free. I think this will be my new go-to mascara for daily wear…I’m sick of shelling out $25+ for mascaras that don’t perform half as well.
all time favorite
My daughter and I have tried just about every mascara product on the market, but we have always come back to Maybelline mascara.
Maybelline Great Lash
Arrived by mail in a good amount of time which was not that long. But when I got it, it did have a CVS Pharmacy price tag on it and the color of the product tubing looked somewhat faded as if it had seen it’s share of sunlight. Unfortuneatly the product is somewhat clumpy and not as smooth of substance as I was hoping but I use it anyway.
