not much moisturizing
Product much lighter and thicker than I would have liked; I do not see any “rose” in it. It is more of a beige, and no discernible moisturizers.
Love this product!
I ordered this makeup after another reviewer recommended it to another reviewer of a different product. I’m so glad I took the chance because this is my favorite makeup by far. I’ve used facial makeup for over 20 years and have tried most brands, both expensive and inexpensive. Most makeups sit on my skin and I become oily. This makeup however seems to sink into my skin and there’s no oily feeling throughout the day.It gives good coverage on it’s own but due to my sun damage I top it with the same brand powder to set it and provide even further coverage.Buying cruelty free is important to me and I’m so happy that I don’t have to sacrifice anything with this product and instead get rewarded for doing the right thing.
Cruelty free, yay. Looks a bit dry on, boo.
I wanted to love this product because it’s cruelty free and vegan. And to be honest, I do still use the product because of that. However, I find it to make my skin look dry/older. The only way I can wear it is by applying it as soon as I apply a generous layer of moisturizer to help cushion this product. I wish more companies would make cruetly-free and vegan products. Corporations seem to have difficulty understanding this need.
Excellent, safe and up there with the best of the best!
I’ve been using this foundation now for a couple of years. I love that it is all natural with nothing harmful in it. I love the coverage. The color for me is perfect. I’ve been a user of Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Estee Lauder foundations etc through the years but on finding out about all they have in them searched for alternatives. Since using this – I can easily say this is just as good as any of the best out there but this leads the way because it is also safe. I highly recommend it and will continue to order it, it’s a great foundation! Great company too.
Great product, impressive ingredients!
I have not used liquid foundation in years, because as I have aged, I feel that it settles into the lines around my mouth and nose. I usually use powder foundation, but it can look heavy on me. I went to white rabbit beauty’s website, where they let you order generous foundation samples for a buck and a half and lipstick samples for a dollar. I ordered this foundation in the soft beige color. I am pale, but not ivory. I have a lot of red/ruddiness to my skin, burn easily, and I don’t like any foundations with yellow tones. So, the sample came (with enough for a week of applications!). I put on a thin layer of moisturizer first, and let that sink in. I applied with my finger, because foundation brushes sometimes leave brush marks. A little goes a long way, so build your coverage in thin layers. I have found that if you blend out AND in, the coverage is better. What I mean by that is, usually with a liquid foundation you apply it and blend out. I have large pores, and blend both ways, which provides better coverage for me. I have a few old red scars on one cheek from acne, and this foundation provided good coverage without being thick or gunky. They are still noticeable, but only if you look closely. It gives me a much more luminous look than my usual matte powder foundation. My daughter commented that I looked so much younger and brighter, like I wasn’t really wearing a lot of makeup. It is definitely brightening, which I love. I would probably apply a touch of powder to my t zone, just to tone it down a bit. The ingredients in this foundation are much cleaner than most that you will find in a drugstore or department store, I have listed them below. There is no yellow to this soft beige color, and I am still a bit pink which is something that is usually covered when I use powder foundation. Its not really a deal breaker, it’s very minimal. It doesn’t feel dry or tight and doesn’t settle into my fine lines. I like it by itself, but you could touch up the t zone with a bit of powder if you wanted to. It wears fine over a normal work day AND an hour workout (youtube Tiffany Rothe-awesome workouts). I always shower and wash my face (Dr Bronners liquid castile peppermint, its great for acne) after I work out, but this time I really wanted to see how well it wore during and after the workout-6 hours later it still looks great! There is none of that ‘melting’ that you will get with some foundations, where they start to slide off your face. It actually looks so natural, I am converted. I never thought I would go back to liquid foundation, but this did it for me. The best way to try it is to buy the samples, in the colors that you want to try. You can also blend two colors together on your own, to get the best color for you. I love it for winter wear, because my skin is dryer and can get flaky with powder foundation.
