The John Frieda Root lifter left my hair feeling waxy and oily
• The John Frieda Root lifter left my hair feeling waxy and oily
• Wish it had worked for me
• The two that work ok for me is the Pantene Root Lift or the
• Matrix Bodifying spray which are both lightweight and providethe right amount of lift and of course the TIGI Catwalk Root lifterworks but is too expensive
This is an OK product. I am forever searching for the product that will give me luxurious volume. I think John Frieda products are good and I will always give a new one a try. But, did it work, not really, not for me anyway. I hope this doesn’t discourage people from giving this product a try. I do have problem hair, thinning and baby fine and have found few products that can help me.
This root booster does what it says on my fine, stick straight hair. Apply to roots while damp then blow dry and style. Once my hair is dry I add a little high shine gloss for the polished look and to make it feel a bit softer. The root booster adds the volume but it makes the hair feel just a tad dry, so my remedy is hair polish. Enjoy:)!
Just discovered this!
I just discovered John Frieda Root lift booster and I have to say I’m very impressed. I have limp, oily, unmanageable, fine, hair. I avoid products like the plague because I don’t want it to turn oily midday. However, this product does not make my hair greasy. It leaves it with a style and some volume and I have to say, I have not looked better.I can never manage to get my hair to look good on it’s own and finally I’ve found a product that can help me with that issue.I will forever buy this product. I cannot say enough good things about it. I’m very pleased.Thank you John Frieda!
NASTY, NASTY, NASTY.
I should have known better not to buy John Frieda products, they should be called John Fried producst, firs of all, this thing makes your hair feel like straw, it takes out the shine and the softness making it look and feel dry and lifeless. I gave the product to a co-worker that I don’t like, that says a lot. Trash.OH, you have to cover your counters in the bathroom because it stains them, not a good product at all.
This is absolutely perfect for flat heads. My hair is fine and silky and completely devoid of volume. I always use a volumnizing shampoo and conditioner followed up by a volumnizing spray. I normally purchase these products from a salon and pay a lot more for the privilege.I had run out of the Paul Mitchell Volumnizing Spray that I usually use and bought this product in a pinch at CVS. I was hoping this would at least nominally work but my expectations weren’t high. This actually ended up working as well as my usual brand at easily half the price. I applied it to the roots of my freshly washed and towel dried hair and let my blow dryer create the adequate volume I needed at a low cool setting. In five minutes my normally droopy hair looked fuller and had more lift. My hair didn’t have a lacquer feel to it and it had a nice scent which was subtle and fresh. Overall, my hair looked great and kept its shape in hot, really humid weather. This is a great product that does what it promises at a reasonable price point.
Excellent for thin / thinning hair
Bought as gift for my cousin — who thrives on it. She has lovely silky straight hair that lies too flat.
Great for thin hair
I love this product. I have very thin hair at the top and this product does a very good job at providing volume with no stickiness. I spray it on while my hair is wet and blow dry. It coats the hair but is not heavy or sticky.
Does two things
My hair is thin, frizzy, and has been dyed for 30 years. This product does add some volume. But what is even better, the result of the blow dry is smoother and closer to the hairdresser look than with other products. On wet hair I use cheap detangler. Then I spray this product on damp hair after I dry the hair a for a couple of minutes. When almost dry, I use the round brush, with sections of hair to finish the drying process. This is the best my hair has ever turned out besides the salon.
This product is pretty good. I have medium to thick hair that is very flat and gets oily. This is a nice product that I found wasnt too smelly. I use it a few times a week, when I have time to blow dry my hair. I spray a bit on my crown, then blow dry. I notice that my hair does have more volume and body. I wish that you didnt need to blow dry in order for the product to work well. I dont have much time for that, but I do like the product when I use it. I have tried to just spray the product and not blow dry, but it doesnt do well for me like that. My hair stays full throughout the day when I use this, but the body does fall out a bit. I would buy this again, but I think a bottle will last me for several years!
Not a Miracle Product
This isn’t a miracle product or anything, but it does give me some added volume. Works best if you use it before blow-drying your hair. A little expensive, but I’m not one to spend a lot of money on hair products.
John Frieda Root Booster
This is a great product, as are all of the John Frieda products. I have been using the SHEER BLONDE products for years. This is a great alternative to mousse as it does not dull the hair colour.
