A TINT IS NOT A STAIN!
Another example of one more cosmetic company that doesn’t know the difference between a tint and a stain, and a rather weakly pigmented tint at that. The shade is acceptable I guess, but I ordered a stain! Really pathetic marketing by Jane Iredale. I’m once again, disappointed with a mis-labelled tint when I have been searching for a stain. >:(
Not sure if it’s really worth the price
I’m stll not sure it’s really worth the price. It doesn’t seem like a good amount so I guess I’ll see how long it lasts. Also, I don’t really think of this as a stain. It doesn’t stay on, it’s more like a tinted chapstick. It has a nice gloss flnish (which I think is why it doesn’t stay on very long) and not drying like some other stains. So far this is the only lip color other than a red one that I’ve found with almost natural ingredients that doesn’t contain ingredients that are severly harmful so that’s a big plus. It’s good if you like a light color. I have light/medium skin tone and it is not to vibrant on me. Not quite natural, but close to how someone’s natural lips would look. The thing that bothers me is it’s called a stain, but doesn’t seem to stay on my lips much longer than any lipstick I’ve used in the past. In the picture here (from my computer screen) it looks like more of a medium brighter pink almost hot pink, but it’s actually closer to a not so bright lght/medium pink. Not sure if I’ll buy again.
It is OK
This reminds me of Tangee, if you are old enough to remember Tangee. It was really popular in the 1950s. This is a nice color but it is really drying.
It’s what I was looking for
The color and consistency were exactly as advertised. It’s a very light, sheer pink. Sometimes I wear it alone and sometimes as a gloss over a neutral, beigey matte lipstick to give it a bit more shine. My only negative remark is that it’s a slim tube, so it won’t last long – a bit pricey.
agree 100% with Ashlee
Kept seeing this product in the case at my spa and got it at a better price online. Ashlee’s review is also mine. I’m amazed at the thumbs up reviews! Maybe it’s a case of “feeling” a product’s efficacy the more you spend. A wiser choice for my money is Tarte’s cheek stain, which I also use on my lips (but it does smear). I will say that the seller is fantastic, so I’ll try her other things. This item will go to a friend’s 13 year old. It is perfect for a girl just starting makeup.
My everyday lipstick
I really like the color my lips take on and how it moisturizing this is. It lasts long on the lips and looks very natural. I haven’t tried it on my cheeks. I’ve reordered another to keep in my purse for touch-ups.
Didn’t like the color but since I ordered it I used …
Didn’t like the color but since I ordered it I used it until it began to come apart from its tube base.
Lush, pink kissable lips!
Jane Ireland’s "Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain Forever Pink" is my favorite lip and cheek stain. A soft pink blush, it adjusts to your own chemistry for an natural pink shade that flatters your skin’s undertone. It is a multipurpose stain uses all natural ingredients to enhance your natural coloring.I find that this stain is moisturizing and long lasting. I got it as a sample and was skeptical about how it would work with my coloring, but it’s beautiful. On me it’s a deep pink rosey stain, very moist, and it looks very natural. Used as a cheek stain, I find that it gives me a slight, dewy blush. It glides on smoothly.I tend to use this more in the spring and summer and it looks great with a tan. I use darker tones in winter. The ingredients are: Olive butter, avocado butter and wild rose wax soothe and soften lips. Rose flower wax and beeswax nourish and moisturize.JANA
Not very moisturizing but a nice color
I bought this after much review reading on other sites. Everyone spoke of the lovely color and softness it gives your lips. It’s expensive for what you get though, so I wasn’t sure. I went with it though, because I typically don’t like to wear lipstick but I like a spot of color, but not lip gloss. It’s very small for the price. The color is nice in the beginning – like one swipe on your lips. Any more than that, at least on me, the color goes weird. I have tried it as a stain for my cheeks as well – not ideal or perfect but passable and doable if you’re in a rush or need an emergency touchup.I wouldn’t buy this again or recommend it. But I did give it 3 stars because the color went weird on my lips, but people say it’s different for everyone. I much prefer Loreal’s sheer colored lip balms. Prettier colors, more moisture, inexpensive.
Not a favorite, but it’s okay
This turns very pink on me and while the color is okay, I prefer other shades. I really like Jane Iredale cosmetics.
a lip and cheek product that actually works on both lips and cheeks
I’ve tried quite a few lip and cheek combination products lately, and usually I find that they look good on the cheeks OR the lips, but not both. This is the first product that really works for both, I think. It’s a light pink but it shows up on my cheeks (it’s pretty pale). You can get away with using a little or a lot, and you won’t look like a clown if you use a lot. (I was almost late to work one day experimenting with a similar product last week, when I had to wash my face and start over again, so this is an important consideration!) It’s a faint color on my lips, and not too much of a shine, but good for a sort of “enhanced” natural look.As a cheek color, it’s fairly long-lasting. As a lip color, you’ll have to reapply it after meals. It’s not the most moisturizing lip color I’ve ever tried, but it’s not the worst, either. I’d put it somewhere in between, which is actually quite good for a combination product. It’s not a stain, though, and I don’t really feel much in the way of plumping effects. What I like are the color and the convenience of having a product that actually works on both lips and cheeks.
