By getting deep into the skin and encouraging the production of healthy new skin cells, you can begin to see a reduced appearance of scars and stretch marks when that damaged skin is replaced by healthier and lighter looking cells.

Middle Age Acne

Update** I am still using this. I have had only one zit, above my eyebrow, and that was from the threading which causes surface pimples sometimes. I don’t know if this helped in healing, but it went away pretty quickly — of course it was just a little one so I don’t think it would have lasted long either way. But this has seemingly kept me to zero hormonal acne breakouts since I started using it.PREVIOUS REVIEW:I am 44. I expected some wrinkles, right? They’re proof of the smiles, right? (I just threw up in my mouth). But hormonal acne? I did not expect to be requesting a senior discount on Clearasil. As with most of life’s cruel jokes, everything hits you around midlife.I started using this because I had heard that it is the latest and greatest for wrinkles (the new coconut oil I read somewhere) Although I remember seeing this as a supplement in my grandmother’s medicine cabinet. She was a hot granny, so I gave it a shot. The smell took me back a bit. I’ve also used Tamanu and Sea Buckthorn seed oils. This has a similar earthy, dark scent….but not as pungent. I guess I was expecting roses. It isn’t an overwhelming smell, but it isn’t roses. I’m considering experimenting with mixing some of these oils, along with argan oil, to full on fight aging until I turn back into a fetus.Anyway, I’ve been using this alone for several days and here is what I can share so far: First, I was pleased that while it goes on oily (it is oil after all) it absorbs rather quickly. So I’m not a grease slick in the morning and there aren’t stains on my sheets. Second, and maybe most happily surprising, I completely dodged the monthly hormonal breakout I’ve been fighting for the past year or so. It was actually conspicuous by its absence. (Unfortunately for my loved ones, they couldn’t say the same of me for a few days)I did some reading. My research immediately returned a boatload of information about rosehip seed oil being a really great treatment for adult, hormonal acne. Go figure. I’ve often joked that I apply my old lady cream with my left hand and my teenage zit cream with my right. Apparently, cold pressed, virgin, unrefined rosehip seed oil contains retinoids. So, much like the synthetic Retin A I used to use to fight wrinkles and acne, this is a natural pre-retinol. How cool is that? I had to stop using Retin A because I would walk around bright red, shining-stretched skin, shedding like a lizard. I figured wrinkles were better than that. This is a much milder, natural way of stimulating and turning over new skin cells without looking like someone turtle waxed your face and without using synthetic vitamins to do it.I’m only a few days into this, so I will update as soon as I get an invitation to the junior prom. But for now, I am happy that I am fighting wrinkles and not missing the acne, not even a little.P.S. This is a BIG bottle. And a little goes a loooong way. A few drops and you’re good.

This works!

Disclosure: I received a sample product to review in exchange for my honest opinion. To start my skin care regime, I use the rosehip seed oil first. I applied two drops on my face and neck. Per the instructions, I keep the bottle in the refrigerator to keep it fresh. First, the oil is a dark amber color. I was worried that it would stain my face but there were no issues. The oil is gentle and non-irritating. It is very easy to apply and quick to absorb. To read more of my review, visit my blog!

ORGANIC Rosehip Oil and Vitamin C serum: InstaNatural brand

I recently came across a company that makes several types of skin care oils and antiaging creams. The brand is InstaNatural. I have tried several of their products and I have to say that I am impressed. I was able to test out their rosehip seed oil and their vitamin c serum. I was very happy to see that their rosehip oil was a generous 4 oz when it arrived to me. That is fantastic, and is a great value for the money. I had heard of rosehip seed oil and its wonderful benefits to skin, however had never tried it for myself.Rosehip Seed Oil helps diminish the appearance of scars, stretch marks and acne, other spots. I opened the container and revealed a light amber to yellow orange colored oil. Rosehip seed oil is considered a “dry” oil, meaning that it soaks into the skin easily, and does not leave a greasy residue. This is a benefit to me as I do not like when my fingers, hands, or face feel sticky or greasy. I applied some oil to my fingers and then applied to my face. It is a rather pungent smelling oil, not terrible, but definitely stronger in scent than other types of oils. To me, it smells oily, if that makes sense? 🙂 This does not prevent me from using it, and it is not something other people would smell once this is on your face, so do not worry.Rosehip seed oil is an excellent facial hydrator, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, and penetrates skin while reducing the appearance of scars and fine lines. It is able to help repair the skin’s surface and restore elasticity. As we age, our skin loses elasticity and collagen and wrinkles occur. It contains Essential fatty acids, which are beneficial for healing the skin. This InstaNatural Rosehip seed oil contains only 100% Pure Certified Organic Rosehip Seed Oil – No fillers, which is nice. I stay away from cosmetics that are filled with chemicals and hard to pronounce ingredients.I oil cleanse my face each day (I use various oils and like to vary it what types I use)and do not use any sulfates or traditional soap based cleansers. Sulfates dry out skin and cause skin to actually produce more oil and breakouts. I have noticed a big improvement on my skin over the past year with just removing sulfates from my lifestyle. (I do not use traditional sulfate shampoo either). Sodium lauryl sulfate, a common ingredient added to face wash and cleansers to make soaps foam, is a chemical that is lurking in most of the products available today. I read labels and if it is in a product, I pass on using it. It strips the skin of natural oils that our skin needs for protection and moisture. When we use sulfates, our skin reacts and then tries to restore itself by producing more oil to compensate. After washing my face with my usual jojoba oil, caster oil, grapeseed oil, and glycerin mixture, and then hot water facial cloth steaming, and closing the pores with cool water, I allow my face to dry. I then apply Vitamin C serum, and allow it to soak into my face. Since receiving the Rosehip seed oil, I have added it to my facial oil cleansing mixture. This oil doesn’t clog my pores, and it has many skin loving and nourishing properties.I have also used this Rosehip seed oil as a first aid oil for various cuts and rashes in this household. My husband has dry hands and knuckles and he has used this to soften and heal his skin when it cracks.I also received the InstaNatural Vitamin C serum and have been testing that out as well. I apply it after my face is cleansed, steamed, cooled, and patted dry. I apply the Vitamin C serum as well as the InstaNatural Hyaluronic acid serum. The Vitamin C serum contains Vitamin C (20%) + E + Ferulic + Hyaluronic Acid, but as an added benefit, I use the stand alone Hyaluronic acid as well. I like the way my skin feels hydrated afterwards. The Vitamin C serum contains many beneficial ingredients, but the ones I love the most are the aloe vera, jojoba oil, witch hazel, and glycerin. Those ingredients work really well on my skin and are soothing.I like both of these products and recommend them.If you found this review or any of my other reviews interesting or helpful, please rate is as "helpful" and or leave a comment. Light weight oil that is helpful for hair, cuticles, nails and skin

I have been using Argan Oil recently with great results and was given an opportunity to also try this organic Rosehip Seed Oil.It has similar benefits to the Argan Oil. I have used this on my hands, face, nails and hair. For hands and nails it has moisturized and help rejuvinate my really dry cracked cuticles. It softens the skin on my hands and although I don’t have too many wrinkles on my face, it is supposed to help diminish fine lines.I’ve also used this on my hair which in the winter can get really dry. Rather than use my normal pomade, I’ve been using 4-5 drops of this rubbed in my plams then run through my hair. Although it doesn’t control my hair like a pomade does, it gives my hair a healthy look and helps control the frizzies. It has a minimal odor and contrary to what you might think, does not smell like roses at all. This is organic and pure. The only downside and the reason I don’t use it as often as I’d like is that it is recommended that this be refrigerated. That just makes it inconvenient for me. But other than that, it’s a fine product.I was provided a sample for review.

Love this versatile oil

It is a rich feeling oil that can moisturize and make your face feel so incredibly soft and smooth. This amazing oil is USDA Certified Pure, Organic, Unrefined, Cold pressed Rosehip Seed Oil.It is naturally rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (Omega 6, 3 and 9) and Vitamin A and C that make it a face, hair, nail and skin restorer. It is a chemical and preservative free formula extracted from (Rosa Mosqueta) that provides natural and safe protection and total skin revitalization.I could not believe how amazing this oil helped my dry skin on my face but where I got the most benefit was on my elbows, heels and hands. I have extremely dry skin due to Hypothyroid and RA, so I am constantly on the lookout for products that can alleviate the itching dry skin that I suffer with. I have even taken small drops and rubbed them into my scalp to stop the itching and it really does work. I do have dry hair also so it does not make my hair oily. I am not sure what it would do to someone who has oily hair, so I caution those who have oily hair to double check first before using in your hair. Also, InstaNatural Rosehip Seed Oil is recommended for aging, sun-damaged, dry, flaky, uneven, pigmented skin. It can be used to fight aging, reduce scars and marks, provide nourishment/hydration to skin, give protection and care to hair and nails. I do have to tell you that it does not have a rose like scent like the Moroccan Rose Water. InstaNatural believes in the earthy scent of pure oil so you won’t see the rose scent in this oil. Which is a good thing because wearing it could clash with your perfume or other fragranced products that you use. Sometimes, it’s best not to have a scent and this is one of those times.

It’s working well

The scent of this doesn’t bother me, and the texture feels rich going on, but absorbs fast. For dry skin conditions, this has been helping a lot. On my husband’s psoriasis, it works really well too. Better than most of the lotions and oils he’s tried, it makes the scales less obvious, softer and less itchy. The bottle is great, generously sized, with a glass dropper in the lid for dispensing just a couple drops at a time. Drop it on clean finger tips, rub fingers to spread it a bit, then apply.Usually, if recommending a product to friends, it’s craft related. This is an exception, and I am recommending it to my friends. It’s nice on face and nails too.I received a free product in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was received and this is my honest opinion and experience.

Hair Serum

This is a great hair serum. I use it as a leave in conditioner. It only takes a little and won’t leave your hair greasy. It is also light enough to use on your face!

Great Oil Despite Smell

When I first used the oil, I was a little overwhelmed by the smell. Rosehip seed oil is hard to explain, but it is definitely not a rose smell! It is a mixture between a musky, woody, and nutty smell. It is not my favorite smell in the world, but I got used to it after several times of using it. Just don’t worry that the oil is bad because it is not!The oil definitely helped my scars. After a week of using the oil, I could tell that my stretch mark scars looked fainter. That is exactly what I wanted because I hate the red look of them. Also, the rosehip oil helped moisturize my dry patches of skin on my body. It was nice to see my heels and my elbows become soft again. With all my yard work, my skin dries out fast. The oil comes in a fairly large bottle and I only use 1-3 drops. This bottle will last about 6 months unrefrigerated and 1 year refrigerated.I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Excellent treatment for cracked/damaged cuticles

I’ve been a recent convert to using Argan oil to help deal with dry, cracked fingertips, and have been very pleased with the results. This Rosehip seed oil is proving to be equally effective at dealing with overall hand moisturizing, and seems to be a bit better (or at least quicker) in dealing with cuticle damage. It comes in a very nice cobalt blue glass bottle with a dropper. The dropper is essential since you really only need a couple of drops. This is an oil, so a little goes a long way. I usually use about two drops per hand and that is ample to get good coverage. It has an earthy scent, which was surprising to me since I assumed it would smell like roses. The fact that it does not is a big plus. The scent, which is quite nice and unique, dissipates quickly. While it is oily when first applied, it soaks in well after a few minutes. It seems to absorb into my skin quicker than Argan oil. Once absorbed it leaves my skin feeling soft but not greasy. While this has a multitude of uses, it’s been working very, very well to repair my damaged hands (I hate cold weather!!). The price is more reasonable than Argan oil, especially when you consider this comes in a 4 ounce bottle. At a few drops per day, it will be a while before another bottle is needed! I very much like this oil, and would recommend it highly.[Sample provided for review]

A rose is a rose….

Vitamin C serums are all the rage right now and what’s not to like? Organic, natural beauty products that actually work? Yes, please! But if you are like me you think mostly in terms of citrus fruits as prime sources of Vitamin C. Like me you would be wrong! The fruit of the wild rose, or rose hips, have been eaten for centuries for their Vitamin C to ward off scurvy and other ailments when citrus fruits were not available. Rosehip oil is particularly good for circulatory problems and so I first looked to InstaNatural Rosehip Seed Oil for increasing the blood circulation in my face. Better blood circulation mean better cell repair and smoother brighter skin. This 100% pure, certified organic, Rosehip Seed Oil by InstaNaturals contains no fillers and comes in a large 4 ounce bottle. More than twice the size of the usual Vitamin C serum. Just 2 or 3 drops massaged into the face and neck will hydrate, reinvigorate and even skin tone. However, it may be the exception that proves the rule, ‘a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.’ It does not. Rosehip Seed Oil smells, well, kind of yucky. The scent dissipates quickly though and is certainly not so unpleasant that I wouldn’t use it at all. It’s just that it is a natural product with not added chemical fragrances so it doesn’t smell they way we have too often come to expect beauty products to smell. Fake. And to our detriment. The price makes this oil just right for a Vitamin C serum that can be used all over the body. InstaNatural Rosehip Seed Oil works well on scars and stretch marks, and trust me, I had plenty to test the theory. I found the serum works quickly on newly formed scars but is no slouch with old scars and blemishes either. If I were pregnant I would never be with out this product. Not just to get belly rubs but to help prevent stretch marks.I found Rosehip Seed Oil a bit heavy for my hair but it worked miracles on my cuticles and the heels of my feet. My feet get so dry that sometimes my feet are more hooves than anything human. Liberal application of InstaNatural Rosehip Seed Oil right after a soaking bath has made them so soft and baby pink I almost want to show you a picture. (Almost.) I just rub the oil into my feet after soaking and exfoliating, pull on some cotton socks, and hit the bed. The next morning, no more angry bird talons! That’s a product worth its weight in gold during sandal season.Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

a must have

I didn’t immediately love this product. Being an oil it took me a few times to learn how to use it without making a mess. But once I learned how to use it without a mess, I love it. My face feels amazing after using the Rose Hip for a few weeks. It goes on and absorbs quickly.Wears great under makeup with no pealing or flaking. My face isn’t oily or greasy after use. I also used it on a scar and my scar is less raised and less red so it is helping get rid of the scar. You can read my full review here […] I would purchase this item once I run out. I received a bottle complimentary but the opinion expressed is all mine.

Wonderful product

If you have never tried something like this product, I strongly urge you to because it is really good. I like the way it goes on and the feeling of it as it dries. I like the results I received but not everyone will have my results of course because everyone is different. I do think you will be as happy as I am.

Very Soothing For Dry Skin

I’ve been really excited to try Insta Natural’s Rosehip oil. Lately, it’s been hot and dry where I live and my skin gets super dried out, especially on my legs, but my face needs extra hydration too-so I don’t get wrinkled up like a prune. This rosehip oil instantly relieves dry skin and leaves skin hydrated for a long time. You can use it all over and it works as good on your face as it does on your legs. I’ve even tried a few drops on the ends of my hair. The heat and dryness really takes a toll on skin. This Organic (big plus) Rosehip oil comes in a long lasting, dark, glass bottle with an easy to use pump. It’s huge and when so little product goes such as long way, this bottle will last for months. I’ve been wanting to see how the Rosehip oil stands up to Argon oil which I’ve been using for a couple of years and I think the Rosehip oil works just as well, if not better for skin than Argon oil which I think works better on hair. The Rosehip oil keeps my skin smoother longer than the Argon oil-though it absorbs quickly without feeling greasy or oily especially when I use it on my face and neck-this makes skin silky smooth where Argon is a little heavier and more oily.Rose hip oil is high in Omegas and helps with aging and dry skin. It’s also good for scars and stretch marks. This will stay freshest in the fridge which makes it feel nice and cool to put on when it’s roasting outside. I was sent Insta Natural Rose Hip oil to try and I really like this product, especially for summer but I am sure when winter hits and the heaters come on, it will be just as useful. Great product in a 4 ounce bottle that will last a long time. Insta Natural has a really great line of oils and natural skin care products.

Today I received the 100% Pure Organic Rosehip Seed Oil free of charge for my honest Review. The RoseHip Seed Oil is very oily and it to me smells like carrots. I like it because it is oily and it will help me stop scratching my face and hives that I sometimes get. The RoseHip Seed Oil will also work on your nails and cuticles to moisten them and keep your hands from being dry. It is a great multipurpose moisturizer for dry skin, hair, nails, and reduces the appearance of stretch marks, scars, spots, psoriasis, and eczema. It only contains the one ingredient 100% Pure Certified Organic RoseHip Seed Oil no fillers. It comes with a Works Or Your Money Back Guarantee and it is made in the USA. You can purchase the RoseHip Seed Oil on Amazon or the InstaNatural website. Thank you for reading my Review. Jerri Davis

Non, greasy, and super light!

Non, greasy, and super light. Great for acne and excema. It’s natural and has been used for generations so I trust it. A lot of celebrities swear by it. I put it on my skin at night and awake up glowing!

Great moisturizer but haven’t seen stretch mark reduction yet…

This was an interesting oil to try because it’s a little different from the usual oil getup in my beauty routine. I had tried InstaNatural’s Argan oil (which I LOVED) and thought this oil would be similar, but it’s a bit thicker in consistency (a little oilier) and has a slightly flowery, seedy scent to it. It definitely isn’t overwhelming or even that noticeable, as it disappears after rubbing it in.The main product claims of rosehip seed oil is obviously to help with skin dryness, but also to help heal stretch marks and faded scars. This intrigued me because I have stretch marks on the insides of my thighs due to weight gain/loss; I thought this would be the perfect oil to try.I used it for a few weeks and can’t say I’ve had immediate results with the scar reduction, but I love how it glides so smoothly onto my skin. It definitely is a great moisturizer and a non-sticky, all-natural, and organic way to soften and moisturize your skin. Like most of InstaNatural’s products, it is a little pricier than a regular $6 bottle of lotion you’d buy at the drugstore, but this stuff is organic AND minimally processed—I think it’s worth the extra bucks. For the stretch mark reduction claim, I will definitely continue using this oil to see what happens.FTC Disclosure: I received one complimentary sample bottle of InstaNatural’s Organic Rosehip Seed Oil in order to write an honest and unbiased review. I was not paid or sponsored to write this review–positive or otherwise–and all thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone.

Great product

This product is great. The bottle really is HUGE. It really heals and nourishes skin, and makes it so much smoother. But you don’t need a lot! You only need a drop to really get results!

Lila Branford, CT

Absolutely love using this as a moisturizer!

This oil is super rich and you only need a tiny little bit and it goes a long way. 1-2 drops is plenty to cover your face and neck. Again, this is another product that is very inexpensive compared to your usually beauty products, and will last you at least twice as long!Don’t like the feel of oil on your skin? You can mix a few drops into your favorite moisturizer and apply it to your skin that way, to get the added benefits from Rosehip Seed oil.Rosehip seed oil is also great for promoting nail and hair growth too!I loved using this as a moisturizer. I found I only needed 1 drop for my face and I’d gently massage it into my skin. It was incredibly moisturizing without ever making my skin feel oily or greasy. It is actually a really great moisturizer. I used it both day and night for maximum benefits and loved how my skin felt immediately after using it.I’ve been using this product for 2 weeks and have been very happy with the results. My skin feels more luminous and soft. I also had a few days of hardly any sleep, and this oil really did work amazingly to hide those dark circles! I don’t think I looked nearly as tired as I would have without using this amazing product!

Good moisturizer, a little thick and smells of flax

I received this item for the purposes of review via Tomoson. The bottle of oil is impressive in size and I appreciate that it comes in a light resistant brown glass bottle. The bottle was wrapped nicely and completely in bubble wrap for shipment +++. The oil itself like my title says is a little thick and smells of flax. This makes sense since Rosehips are high in lingans just like flax. This odor does not dissipate. My suggestion if you plan on using this in your beauty routine is to only use it at night where you or others won’t be bothered by the smell or the sheen. It’s not gross or anything it’s just a bit much to take if you are wearing it all day. Also it competes with the fragrance of lotions or perfumes you may be wearing. I wore it under my makeup one day and didn’t do it again.

So excited to see its positive long term results

Sometimes I am worry about some scars and cicatrix on my skin. Just recently I used "Rosehip Seed Oil" on clean skin once a day to help diminish the appearance of my scars. Actually, it is smell-less, absorbs quickly despite of its oily nature and it moisturizes my skin and makes my skin very soft. It didn’t cause any redness or irritation. I am excited to see its positive long term results specially on the damaged parts of my skin 🙂

Great for very dry or older skin

I am in love with this product. I am over 40 and live in a very dry climate where we also heat with wood so the air is very dry in the winter. I am over 40 and so my skin can be a bit more dry. I am always looking for natural products to use on my skin and hair and was excited about trying this organic rosehip seed oil. I have been using this on my face after washing and before moisturizer. I noticed a difference after just one day. My skin looks much more hydrated and I am very happy with this.If you use this remember that a very little bit goes a long way, I use just a small amount and spread it all over my face and neck. I have also used this on the ends of my hair when it is dry or flyaway and it works great IF you remember to just use a little bit! Otherwise your hair will look greasy.I am really impressed with this oil and will continue to use it and recommend it to my friends.

I love this stuff!

I use this product right after my shower and apply it to my face and neck. Over the years I have spent way too much time in the sun and of course it shows. The Rosehip Seed Oil helps with repairing the damage that the sun has caused, as well as decreasing old and hardened scars (of which I have many!) It also helps eliminate burn scars, dark spots and stretch marks. The other way you can use it is for shinier hair. I just apply a couple drops evenly my palm and run it through my hair being careful not to overdo any area. You can also use it on your cuticles. The Rosehip Seed Oil is 100% pure and USDA certified organic. It contains Omega 6, 3 and 9 fatty acids which are essential for your skin. Both the Rose Water and the Rosehip Seed Oil are produced in controlled batches to ensure that they are fresh! All InstaNatural products carry 100% satisfaction guarantee for the first 90 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can get a full refund! As with all the other products that I have tried from InstaNatural, I am truly impressed. You can find InstaNatural on their website and Facebook.Disclosure: I received products to facilitate my review and form my opinion, however my opinion remains my own. Yours may differ.

Very nice oil..

100% Pure Certified Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is awesome on skins. It was great as mentioned in the description – Great Moisturizer for Dry Skin, Hair, Nails, Stretch Marks, Scars, Spots, Psoriasis, Eczema. If you see the literature, Rose hip seed oil is a pressed seed oil, extracted from the seeds of a wild rose bush in the southern Andes. The oil contains provitamin A (mostly beta-Carotene). While the fruit is rich in vitamin C, the oil does not contain any, as it is a water soluble vitamin. Rose hip seed oil is high in the essential fatty acids: linoleic acid or omega-6, and linolenic acid or omega-3.Had no side effects and felt great on skin. Definitely recommend this brand!

Great multi-purpose oil

This is a wonderful beauty oil that can be used in different ways. I’ve had mine for about 2 weeks now and can only sing it’s praises. The different ways I’ve used it are: As a lubricating facial oil, as an overnight hand treatment, as a cuticle oil, as a foot massage oil and as an eye oil.It does have an earthy, nutty odor but that dissipates fairly quickly. I really liked the fact that it absorbed so well without leaving a greasy residue behind (even on the face). I found that the best way to apply it to your face or hands is to get your face/hands fairly wet with water and then apply the oil. It seemed easier to spread that way. I only used 3 drops for these applications so I can also say that it’s very economical.I was provided this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. The statements above are solely mine and represent my personal opinions.

Great skin moisturizer!

I was VERY skeptical about using this after the first whiff, but after biting the bullet and slathering it on, I couldn’t be happier! I can’t put this on my face, as it’s too "thick" for my pores, but this makes the best skin moisturizer I’ve ever had. I use this now instead of slathering lotion on my body when I get out of the shower. I use it immediately after patting my skin dry with a towel. My skin stays moisturized all day long, and that’s something I’ve never been able to get with lotion, as it rubs off on the inside of my pants legs. I do use this on my hair, and I have great shine that lasts all day, too. I am a black female with natural hair, and my curls are shiny, healthy, soft, and not dry at the end of the day. I’m happy I was allowed to review this product at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review.

Not as good as the other ones I have used

Not as good as the other ones I have used. Not even sure if it is the real stuff- it smells like mustard oil. Also, didn’t soften my skin as well as other ones I have tried. I will go through this for this time, however, will not be buying this brand again.
