Innisfree Eau de Parfum Spray, 1.75 Fluid Ounce

Caru is an ancient Irish word meaning ‘to love’. It has been specially chosen for this rich and heartwarming fragrance as it evokes passion and joy.  Caru captures the last days of summer; rich aromas of harvests and the last blooms of summer scenting the breeze. As Autumn takes hold there is a crispness to the air, a clarity to the light. Caru is a blend of summer and autumnal fruits, crisp green top notes warmed with rich florals of iris and freesia, a heart of red berries resting on bittersweet ambers, vanilla and fragrant woods to create this warm and wonderful feminine fragrance. Created by Fragrances of Ireland, a boutique perfumery based in County Wicklow, Ireland. For over thirty years, Fragrances of Ireland has been creating perfumes and toiletries inspired by the magic, beauty and nature of Ireland.

My favorite of the 4 Ireland fragrances I purchased (separately)

This fragrance is lovely! It’s fresh, clean and has some staying power! I don’t know how to describe it. It’s maybe a little flowery, and it’s NOT powdery (yay!) and it’s super "crisp" as a scent. My 27 y.o. daughter loves it too. I would re-order, I like it that much. Also, I ordered a 3-pack of another Ireland series called Inis (1 "n" – it’s a different company). I bought the Energy of the Sea which my dtr and I agree is more of a men’s cologne – it’s considered a unisex fragrance and yes, it’s fine that way but really smells more like a very nice, fresh, subtle men’s cologne; and then Inis Moonlight which is so-so in my opinion. Probably more for evening wear. And then Inis Or, which is my favorite of those 3. Don’t know the notes in Or, but it’s clean and not too sweet and just yummy. My very favorite of the 4, though, is this INNISFREE! LOVE IT!!

i can not tell you how many times i have had people ask me what perfume i am wearing, saying how much they like is the only scent i now wear, usually picking up a couple of bottles whenever i get to Ireland.

I’m a little confused, because I once owned a fragrance from Ireland, called just, "Innisfree," and it came in a Kelly green box and a Kelly green bottle. The one shown here has an added title, and different packaging, but I’m assuming it must be the same thing. At any rate, my late Mom was in Ireland many years ago. While there, she asked around for a recommendation for a gift to bring back for me. She was told by many, "Inisfree." I flipped over the fragrance. Though I had never been to Ireland, I felt I was being transported there in some weird way. It just makes you think of the green outdoors and really clean air after a rain storm. I had never smelled anything like it, and it is hard to describe. At one time, I was able to buy this in Irish stores only. I haven’t had it in years, and miss it. I was surprised to see that several people had given this a one star rating.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who is interested in Irish Literature, esp. Yeats. She really was happy with it. I also love the perfume– soft, etheral, elegant. It’s good for a romantic evening, I’d say. The packaging was good and I was impressed with the short time it took to arrive at my door.

I cannot quite describe this fragrance except that is has a slightly sweet and light fragrance. I totally love it and will be ordering it in the larger size. I love the Fragrances of Ireland collection.
