Made my hair come out!
I cowash my relaxed hair everyday. I added this to my cowashes as a last rinse because it has amazing slip. I had started leaving conditioner in my hair, usually my Aussie Moist, but this time I decided to use HH. Later that day, I decided to rinse my hair so I could set it in a high bun. I’m leaning over the tub with my hair in the shower and I’m combing my hair and just seeing strands and strands and then friggin CLUMPS of hair hit the bottom of tub! The ONLY thing new was the HH! I’d seen other posts where people said it made their hair come out but compared to the great reviews, it just didn’t seem likely that it’d make my hair come out. Boy was I wrong. You can try it if you want to, but be warned!
A little odd
I’m a big fan of herbal essences shampoos and conditioners. They work well, smell great and work almost as well as salon brands for a fraction of the price. I noticed my hair was feeling a little dry, so I decided to give this shampoo a try.Like other herbal essences products, Hello Hydration smells great, with a faint coconut odor. The color is a crazy pearl-like teal. After the second use my hair did feel less dry, but I also started losing clumps when I brushed it out. If I ran my fingers through my hair during the day, I lost a little more. After a week I switched back to my old shampoo, and within a day or two the hair loss stopped. I’m afraid to try the Hello Hydration shampoo again to see if it was a fluke, and I do feel the hair loss was related to this product. I’ll continue to use others in this series, but I’m steering clear of the pearlescent ones from now on.
It’s just OK
I actually buy this for my son. He loves it, for whatever reason. It does smell good, but the few times I tried it out of curiosity, I didn’t find it to be hydrating at all. Same with the matching conditioner and especially the 2in1. It’s cheap though and gets the job done as far as cleaning your hair, but don’t expect much more than that.
My husband really likes this shampoo and I have to admit that it smells really good. Great price on Amazon!
I have been using this shampoo for over 3 years now. I use it everyday, sometimes two times a day. It has an a amazing scent, foams nicely, and leaves my hair hydrated. I don’t even use shampoo, because it leaves my hair silky with out having to use conditioner!! I have been tempted to try the two-in-one, but I don’t want to ruin a good thing!! I would HIGHLY recommend this product!!
Makes Hair Fall Out… Buyer Beware!!!
I originally purchased the Herbal Essence Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner because I noticed all of the good ratings, I remembered the television advertisements and because the product contains coconut which is supposed to be good for hair health. When the product arrived, I noticed that the bottle is a great value (large product for a good price) and the product smells great. The downside was that I noticed that the products contain some ingredients not good for hair (ie. both the shampoo and conditioner contain sulfate and dimethicone) but I figured that unfortunately most shampoo products contain those ingredients. However I noticed significant hair breakage after using the Herbal Essence Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner for the first time. The next week I switched back to my original shampoo and conditioner and everything was fine. The bottles are practically full I didn’t want to waste the content, so I figured I would try the Herbal Essence Hydration shampoo and conditioner one more time just to make sure. But I just revisited the Amazon.com customer reviews and viewed a different set of reviews and I noticed that quite a few other customers also experienced hair loss. At this point, I am not going to use the shampoo and conditioner again and I am going to throw the products in the garbage because I don’t want to loose any more hair for the sake of getting my money’s worth. The products did not meet my expectations. Buyer Beware!!!
