Not the color I wanted..
I tried to cancel this order like 2 minutes after I ordered it because I had gotten the wrong color. The seller emails me back, the next day, telling me I cannot because it was already being processed (even though they could have). But I decided to try this color anyways so I wouldn’t of wasted my money…YEA RIGHT. I wasted my money. In my opinion this color is not what I expected. I had medium brown hair and it turned out orange…like a fiery red, sun orange. I hated it so bad I had to go to the store and pick up some different haircolor to get that crap off my head. Someone else may like it, but I sure didn’t. And it didn’t help the seller screwed me over.
Don’t waste your time!
I say don’t waste your time instead of money because this was cheap, but so not worth it! I used this in hope of getting dark hair on my too-damaged-to-chemically-dye hair. The box itself is so cute, with its little bird. I think honestly that’s why I was lured in, by the way it looks. However, this did nothing at all to my hair but make it smell like hay. I followed all instructions, boiling the water and mixing well. I was really excited for this. But the henna did not mix well at all! It wasnt finely ground to allow for easier mixing/application. This was the messiest henna I have ever tried. Believe it or not, there are some out there that aren’t a mess to mix, apply, and wash out. Oh, and once I washed this henna out, my hair was THE SAME. I hoped in a few days when it “settled” it’d get darker, but nope. I have read many other upset users who believe the leaves are too old to give color, and this company uses “expired” product. I wouldn’t be too skeptical about that idea. Don’t buy this if you’re considering. Try Rainbow or Henna Hut!
Unless you cannot find an indian store, then it is ok. I do not like the price, it os overpriced. I found a store, I was lucky, where I was able to buy a five-pound bag and it saved me a lot of money. At least the greys fade, it is not black, but it does not matter, as long the greys hide. I have used this before, and it worked pretty good, I just don’t like the price, it is overpriced compared to the regular Henna I have bought for more volume and a great price!
My new best friend!
I have naturally red hair, and was looking to make my hair redder. My hair is a light orangish brown, and I felt it was a little blah. I used this stuff, and my hair became the most gorgeous shade of red! The first two days, I kind of looked Merida from Brave of Ariel for the little mermaid. After a couple of washings, my hair became a deep red. It’s the kind of red that doesn’t clash with pink and red, which is awesome!Just keep in my that every shade of hair will turn out slightly different; dark hair will have a reddish tint, and blond hair will be a bright orangish red. If you’re a redhead looking for that perfect shade of vivid red, this is the product for you.
My favorite for more than 5 years now
Yes, it is messy. Yes it takes a while (I try t0 keep in "on" for more than an hour, but the longer the better). However – it is natural, does not seep nasty chemicals through my skin, I love the smell (smells like wet hay which reminds me of childhood summers spent in the grandma’s village)Makes hair stronger as opposed to weaker (when using chemicals)Makes hair shinierIs a natural conditionerDoes not FULLY cover grays, but blends them well enough not to be very noticeable – which creates a more natural look than the obvious fake coverageThis particular product has natural ingredients ONLY, not the deceiving "mostly natural with a splash of ammonia, peroxides and p-phenylenediamine"Since I am coloring my hair every 4 or so weeks (mine grows rather fast, some can get away with every 6 weeks. Also it washes off because it is not embedded in the hair structure)Will keep on using!
I have been using Henna for a while now, specifically Red Henna Hair Dye 100 Grams. I came across this brand and thought, why not?I have very short, light brown hair, which had been colored previously with the Red Henna Hair Dye 100 Grams (purchased from Amazon). It was time for a re-color and thought I’d use this brand instead. I followed the directions and got… a very light cover. In fact, it doesn’t really look like I colored my hair at all.The other brand, gives me a deep, beautiful, red. This one… well… you know when your hair color starts to fade? That’s how my hair looks now. It looked better before I even began to color it, last night. Yay me!!!A waste of money and especially time, for less than mediocre results. Not happy with results at all. Will not repurchase. This being said, my mother likes it. So I guess it’s really a matter of preference. My mother’s hair is medium/dark brown and while it does really make her hair look red as my other henna product does, it’s alright for her. I personally didn’t like it.
I have 1a/bfii hair ( straight, fine, pony tail 2.5 inches around) It is about 30″ long, just skimming waist length for me. I mixed this with coffee, cinnamon, allspice, and some yogurt to condition my hair. I let is cure for almost 2 hours before putting it on, and left it on my head for about 4 hours, using heat a couple of times. My grays did not get covered at all, but my over all color is great. I posted a photo above of before and after hair. It feels a bit thick and like there’s still stuff in it now, so the photo may not give the same idea as to what it will look like when I get to wash it tonight. I think I may henna again in a day or two to deepen the color and get the grays. Next time I will leave it in all night while I sleep. Not sure if I will use this exact shade again or try darker or redder? Hmmm. But, basically, I am satisfied with the product and like it better than other hair dyes I have used in the past. The smell is gross, but grows on you after an hour or two. lol My hair feels full, thick and very soft. It did not damage my hair.*Update. I did redo it, only this time I used the one with the fox on the box,Light Mountain Natural Hair Color & Conditioner, Red, 4 oz (113 g) (Pack of 3)and like that color better on me. I let those installments cure longer in the bowl, and left them on overnight. My grays are gone! After reading about henna, I have decided to apply it once a month, at least, in an effort to thicken up my hair and make it stronger. I have already ( with 3 applications in 2 days ) noticed many of my hairs going from fine to medium texture. It is smooth, healthy, bouncy and shiny…. best product for my hair, ever. 🙂
