Dont buy

I have only use it like 3 times. Its okay a waste of money though because its difficult to heat the packs and stuff it into the tarp

Good, but hard to get it to stay on head

I just got done using this for the first time, and, while I like it overall, it definitely is hard to get it to fit to your head and stay in place. It comes with three sets of gel packs that you insert into the hood. Then you microwave the entire thing for about 45 seconds to heat up the gel packs. After placing a disposable shower cap on your head, you place this on top to do your deep conditioning treatments. As the previous reviewer said, this does an excellent job of retaining heat and it covers your entire head. However, the turban twist that you use to secure it doesn’t tighten the wrap at all, so on my (rather large) head, it sort of floated around, without staying tightly in place. I used it to do two twenty-minute treatments and just read on the couch, but any time I got up to walk around, it bobbled and I had to hold it in place. It still beats sitting in one place under a hard-hat dryer for the same amount of time, though, and for that I give it a good rating. It’s portable, easy-to-use, and does a nice job of heating up.It also comes with two disposable shower caps to get you started with your deep treatments, but the elastic bands weren’t tight enough to keep my hair on the top of my head, so I went with another disposable cap that I picked up at my local beauty supply.

Great hair tool

I originally thought this was a plug in device and it warmed your head, so I was a little disappointed when I got it and it was microwaveable, but I should have read the product description better. However, it works really well. My deep conditioner says deep condition with heat and so I was literally sticking a hair dryer to my head, which was not easy, so this provided a great alternate. I have used it over 20 times and I love it!

Does a decent job

Slightly annoying to get the gel pads in the right position. The cap itself is adjustable and can fit any head. Keeps warm for a good amount of time. I use it for conditioning hair with a disposable shower cap under it. I like that it is cordless and you can walk around the house and do what you want instead of sitting.

I love this

Ok…. I like deep conditioning my hair and because it is very time consuming, I don’t like to sit at one place. I warm this up, put it on my head and it does the job perfectly. To me, it is better than sitting under the dryer. I will definitely be buying this again.

Nice Idea But It Still Needs A Little Work…

I thought the concept of the Hair Therapy Cordless Thermal Turban Heat Wrap seemed good, so I purchased the product. I liked the fact that the product is a nice, neat, cordless, towel, thermal, heat wrap. The description says that I can heat the inner gel pads in the microwave, which I thought was quicker but I attempted to heat the pads a few times in the microwave and it just didn’t work for me – the pads don’t get hot enough or stay hot long. So I followed the other alternative and put the pads in boiling water. The boiling water works well and the pads get really hot (hot enough to remain warm for a conditioner treatment). However, when I take the pads out of the boiling water they’re soaking wet and HOT, so I have to use a fork to get them out of the boiling water, I have to dry the gel pads with a paper towel (without burning myself), and then put them into the Thermal Turban. Additionally, the company provides one plastic interior cap (to keep your wet hair from damaging the towel turban). So either you have to get your own additional plastic caps (which is what I do) or you have to keep washing and reusing their original plastic cap. Overall, the product looks simple but in actuality it takes too long and involves way too many steps in order to get the product hot enough for a condition treatment. I actually have to multi-task and leave the gel pads boiling on the stove unattended while I’m washing my hair in another room (which could be a hazard). Otherwise, I’ll have to wash my hair then wait several minutes for the pads to boil, then go through the process of drying the pads, and inserting them into the turban. The concept of this product is great (cordless thermal turban heat wrap) but I think the product still needs improvement. I have the product, so I use it. However, sometimes I’m in a hurry and skip the heat wrap because I don’t have time to go through the steps. Would I purchase it again? Next time I would shop around for an easier product…

UMMMM Deep Conditioners

When I apply my deep conditioning mask to my hair without using this wrap, well umm let’s just say, it doesn’t work out the same for me. Butttt, once I use the cap, it is amazing. My hair is supper soft once I’m done.
