Doesn’t Seem to Be Helping

I’ve been using this product for over a month. I have some breakouts on my back and lately it seems that I’ve been getting a lot of deep pimples. I ordered this based off of other reviews, but sadly it did nothing for me. My acne on my back hasn’t decreased. In fact, I believe I have more acne than when I started using this product. I don’t think that this product caused more acne; I blame the heat and humidity. However, I am fairly certain that if I am getting more acne, this product is doing nothing for me.

Worth it to save skin!

For cystic acne prone skin this is a skin scar saver. My son’s been using this for two months on his back and he can apply it HIMSELF. He was very embarrassed to be in swimming (junior high) with his back so bad. This has helped a lot. The scars will still fade, and this is now a staple for his skin care. Trying to find something as easy to use on his face yet. 8 oz has lasted him 2 months.

Works great, smell causes it to lose a star.

I did read the reviews before buying it. PEOPLE… an acne product is probably going to smell bad when you spray it. True, this smell can be overwhelming. But it’s gone in a few seconds. The smell does not stay with you/on you. It works incredibly well – after using it for only a few days I can see a tremendous difference – so putting up with some horrible smell for a few seconds each day is worth it. I’ve been using this in conjunction with my exfoliating scrubber and Neutrogena Body Clear and my back has cleared up dramatically from its random hormonal surge of bacne… which is terribly gross especially in the summer months! I would highly recommend. The pump works great too which makes it super easy to spray.

effective, dries out skin a bit

Have been using this, along with sulfur bar soap and Proactiv body wash (both also purchased on Amazon), for about 3 months. I use it 2-4 times per week. Back acne has been cut down significantly by using all three of these products together. I now get only the occasional break out, and spraying it directly will dry it over night. The product does sting a big, so spray it in a well ventilated area. It also has a tendency to dry out the skin, but that’s a small price to pay, I think. For the price, it’s also more cost effective than similar products you can buy at the drugstore. One bottle should be enough to last for 3-4 months with using it 2-3 times per week. I do have to give it 4 stars because it’s a bit on the pricey side. However, I’ll buy again.

Glytone Backne Spray

Effective stuff! I bought a bottle for my active teenage son who works out in JROTC drills and showed signs of a growing backne problem (despite his back scrubbing with different soaps). I sprayed this stuff on his back (not on open zits) and after a week of daily applications one could see the difference! New acne stopped, and old zits dried up. Hopefully, with continued use (only 2-3 times a week now) old zit stains disappear. NOTE: Spray in a well ventilated or large open rooms…if you catch a wiff, you may find yourself coughing up a storm (we hold our breath when spraying, and then take a few steps away from the sprayed zone).

My back is clearing up!

I have been using this every night for at least a month. My back acne has cleared up and I do no have any “active” acne except for maybe one or two.I do use a 2% Salicylic Acid Body Wash in the shower as well.I was using the Glytone Exfoliating Wash 8.8% but for whatever reason that stopped working :-(Anyways, I am using other acne products/medication but I think this really helped me as well.

I am 34 and a mother of two. For the last 20 years I have struggled with acne on my back 🙁 I am so happy I have found this spray – there is nothing that comes close from the drugstore or local supermarket (trust me, I’ve tried them all!).Pros:- Clears pimples and blemishes- VERY easy to apply to hard-to-reach back areas- The pump sprays a very fine mist with no drips!- I see a marked improvement on existing blemishes and reduced occurrence of new blemishesCons:- Strong odor – it does smell like rubbing alcohol and since the mist is so fine, it is easily aspirated – easy fix, spray and then walk away!- It tends to dry your skin out when using twice a day (in SoCal we are experiencing a very dry season but even so, I am not too bothered by the drying effect of the Glytone spray)I will buy this again and again. Keep on making it and I’ll keep on buying it.

Throw away your prescription meds…

…because this stuff REALLY does work! My 13 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with back acne and we were given prescriptions for Differin, told to use Proactive, etc., but she would always experience flare ups. Nothing worked and she was very self consious about her back. One day I said enough is enough and googled ‘back acnce’ and came across this product. Read the reviews and thought, “lets give it a try.” This stuff works…it took about a week for us to see results (probably because my daughter was in the midst of a full fledged flare up)…so results from others could be different. It did cause her back to dry up, but that’s because the primary ingredient is alcohol, which is very drying to the skin. We used a sun screen as a moisturizer to combat the dryness…and it’s helping with the spots to fade.As others have said – inhaling the spray will make you choke. You can literally smell the alcohol in this product. Your best bet is to spray and walk away. All in all an excellent product and a life saver…will definitely consider using others in this product line.
