Strength? YES, Vitamin deposit? NEVER
This, contrary to its directions cannot infuse, deposit or treat nails with vitamins or nutrients. The nails are made from proteins and everything they need is supplied from the nail bed. Nails do not absorb vitamins. Use oil to make them flexible and less prone to breaking and peeling. With that said vitagel strength is wonderful during wear for extra layers and needed support. Use it OVER FOUNDATION. Do not use it as your base coat. It will peel. It can be used with color or as clear. Too many complaints about wear because it really is a professional product meant for professional purchase and use in the salon.
Gel nail strengthener that works
I have been using this and it does make your nails stronger. I really like it but looking at the reviews I would not bought this product. The problem was you must use this the right way. You must use a gel base coat first then you apply this and one thin coat only if it is to thick it peel and if you don’t use gel base coat it will peel. This is a good nail strengthener
Peeling? What peeling??? Love this stuff.
First off I’d like to say I was scared to but this product because of the reviews (I have had LOTS of problems with nail hardeners in the past). However, I am thankful I bought it anyway.I have the sensationail starter kit and using their cleanser and lamp I apply a coat or two of this. When I use this with gel polish I like it because it keeps my natural nails protected underneath. When I use this with actual nail polish I find that for me it helps keeps it on longer. Then, I use a non acetone remover to remove just the polish and just refill the gel as needed.Overall, I love it because it keeps my natural nails from breaking as I’m growing them and taking care of them. Now as far as any added health for my nail, I haven’t noticed much of a difference. I mostly use cuticle balms and oils to help with that since I have peeling nails. However, if you looking for something to help your nails stay hard, I would use SUPER THIN coats of this.
Hey! This stuff works!!
I bought this after reading a sampling of the product reviews and thought I’d give it a try despite some saying it peeled off immediately. I followed the instructions, preparing my nails by cleaning, shaping, and roughing their surface a bit, then applying the nail prep solution and got great results. It’s especially important to make sure you cover the ends of your nails with it on both sides. It stays on longer that way and doesn’t come off when you wash dishes. Eventually you will wear this seal off if you’re as busy around the house as I am but I’ve managed to keep this on my nails for about two weeks without it peeling. My nails are slowly growing out after having been weak and flakey. I’m glad I got this.
I have not used it very long but it seems to be making my nails stronger. We’ll see how it does over time.
I was skeptical about this product but since I have very very weak and easily broken nails I decided to try it. I do my own gellish system at home and started using this in place of the foundation coat. In one month my nails are so long and pretty. It really does what it says.
Works as described
Works as described. Easy to apply. I apply this instead of the base coat and then I apply my nail color.
Vita gel. Love it!!
This works great it will not strengthen your natural nail. But it does add support for flexible or damaged nails. If you are having problems with it peeling its due to prepping of your natural nail. I use it every time I do my nails and it never comes off till I remove it. And I have my hands in water all day. This is my process: make sure nails are clean of polish and remove any cuticle that is on your nail. Lightly buff shine off of your nail. Scrub nails with a nail brush and an antiseptic soap with No Moisturizers! Then I wipe my nails with rubbing alcohol. Apply ph bonding agent for gel nails. Apply 2 light coats of vita gel curing each coat for 2 minutes. Now wipe with gel cleanse or alcohol. Or if you want to apply color. Do not wipe sticky layer off and paint nails with your favorite gel or shellac per manufacturers instructions 🙂 I hope this helps.
