Works pretty well on very curly
Works pretty well on very curly, dry, coarse hair. Keeps is shiny, smooth and detangled but would never purchase as it contains parabens. Seriously. Who would pay this much for a product with known harmful ingredients.
Not overly impressed
I was not overly impressed with this glossing conditioner. I expected it to give me shine and condition my hair and it actually dried it out.
My “go to” conditioner!
I first tried Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Conditioner a couple years ago as part of a set that included the conditioner, shampoo, and glossing cream from the same product line. I loved them all. I loved the way my hair looked. I loved the smell. I loved that I didn’t need to use as much as I normally do, even though the conditioner feels a little thin compared to the super-duper-heavy-duty conditioners I normally use. I have naturally blond hair. it is very fine, but I have have a lot. It breaks easily, and I have to be careful with shine products and conditioners not to make it look too greasy (even though it tends to be dry, it can look greasy with the wrong "touch"). The only thing I didn’t love about this Fekkai line was the price. I told myself I would use the glossing cream but wouldn’t pay for the shampoo and conditioner. Well, I went through many other options trying to find something that works as well. I couldn’t find any. I continue to use the glossing shampoo and conditioner and love them. I try to alternate with other (cheaper) options, but I tend to use the Fekkai products much more often.
Nice conditioner but not a great value
I like "high end" products but I did not find this to be anything special. It was much thinner than my regular conditioner. It has a nice, light grassy/citrusy scent. I really didn’t notice any "glossing" effect. I don’t feel like this is worth the cost.
Excellent for dry hair
Please note that I used the Fekkai glossing shampoo first–I think using both the shampoo and the conditioner make the products work best. When I first used this, my hair was very, very dry. I’d been out working in the yard and my hair was snarled and sweaty. The shampoo was mild (which I appreciated) and what really impressed me was that when I used the Fekkai conditioner, the bad tangles smoothed right out. To me, that is the biggest test. I have long, thin, dry hair so I absolutely have to use a conditioner or I can’t even comb my hair out after shampooing because of all the tangles. The combo of the Fekkai shampoo and this conditioner made that job a lot easier. There is a very light, floral fragrance. It was not particularly noticeable for me and not at all obnoxious, which I appreciated. After shampooing and conditioning, my hair was silky and had a slight sheen. I was very, very pleased because for once, my hair did not look or feel dry and "snarly."I found this to be a quality product that really did help my hair look healthier. I hope you have the same experience.
Sleek and smooth hair…
What a superb conditioner for dry/coarse hair! My hair usually is the worst case scenario for any conditioner, especially in the summer. Even with high humidity and scorching heat (over 100 degrees) my hair feels smooth, shiny and healthy rather than dried and fried. Comb out was super easy with my wide tooth comb, no need for additional de-tangling products! I love the shine my hair has….and while this conditioner seems to be deeply moisturizing, it doesn’t weight the hair down or make it feel "coated" in any way. The scent is lovely too, very subtle, it reminds me of Lily Of The Valley fragrance. Highly recommended!
I am using this Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Conditioner with the matching shampoo. It really works great on tangles in and out of the shower. My hair is loosely curled and get tangles in the front when it air dries. There are much fewer knots now that I am using this. It smells nice and fresh and is not overly strong. Like the shampoo, you don’t need a lot of this, a little goes pretty far. My hair still has a bit of frizz, but it is better and there is some decent shine too. I am very happy with the shampoo/conditioner set.
Our new favorite shampoo
We have been using this conditioner for a few weeks and my wife and I both think it is the best we have ever used. We use it with the Fekkai shampoo. Together they leave our hair soft and shiny and best of all, the stuff smells great.Highly recommended, especially if you buy from amazon since their price is much better than anywhere else we have seen for this product. An enthusiastic 5 stars
Good but not great
Like it, don’t love it.It isn’t very thick so I find it difficult to distribute evenly throughout my hair. I feel like I’m only getting it partially distributed at best unless I use a lot of the product. My hair doesn’t feel as soft as it does with other conditioners (Pantene Ultimate 10 and Moisture Renewal) and it still feels a little dry on the ends. However, it smells wonderful and my hair is easy to brush out/detangle. I have no noticed an improvement in shine on my shoulder length medium blonde hair (natural – no color or highlights). I will use it up but may not repurchase given its relatively high purchase price to other options.
Lasting Fabulous Scent
Wow. I had formerly blonde hair now dyed back to brown and, of course, the ends are a bit fried. Add my age getting up there, and my hair is much coarser than it once was (but hey, I’m wiser!!). After one conditioner following directions (place on ends more than scalp) – my hair was much softer. I wouldn’t say it’s more shiny, however, I have only used it once and used Suave shampoo. HOWEVER, the SCENT is the most pleasing, fresh, slightly floral but really smells more "fresh" and clean and lasts for DAYS. Every so often I catch a whiff of my hair and I love it – and one person in my office noticed and the nurse at my doctors office commented on it. I’m buying the shampoo now because though it’s a simple little thing – the scent really makes me happy. And I’ve never had a shampoo scent last for days!!!
Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Conditioner 8 Fl Oz I don’t normally use …
Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Conditioner 8 Fl OzI don’t normally use a conditioner. This product seemed to work as well as it could. I don’t have a lot of frizzy hair so, maybe i’m not a good judge of this type of product. it seemed to leave my hair in better shape than just a shampoo conditioner blend.i like it.gunner july, 20145
Love the light
Repeat customer on this Fekkai glossing conditioner. Love the light, floral scent. Not a thick conditioner, but enough to detangle and leave my hair shiny and smooth. I alternate with a deep conditioner every 3-4 days. Only gave 4 stars because of the price.
Worth the money if you are careful how much you use.
This is a very nice conditioner. It is much easier to comb both wet and dry. I can’t really tell about "glossy" as my hair is about half grey and a soft taupe colour with silver glints, so you can’t see "gloss" as you could if it was all one colour. I’m kind of disappointed with this but not enough to buy a bottle of dye. My hair came out very soft and the frizz is dramatically reduced. My daughter told my my hair smells good.It is kind of expensive but a little goes a long way. I have thick, almost shoulder length hair and it took maybe two teaspoons. I will not be buying this for my long-haired daughter who uses about a half cup of product and can’t be convinced that less will do.
Silky loveliness but so pricey!
This is great conditioner. I find it thinner than some of my other conditioners, which means I use less per wash. The smell is fabulous & long lasting like the shampoo. It leaves my thick & somewhat wavy hair slick, shiny, and easy to manage (actually I cannot put my hair up easily the day I use this as it is too slippery). I do not find it particularly moisturizing though (I would say I tend to have normal to slightly dry in summer hair, definitely not oily). My hair tends to get dull in summer as it bleaches out (natural blonde), and this does improve shine noticeably. However, I have to add an additional product to seal in moisture. I do not feel I can knock the conditioner for this as it does not advertise as a moisturizing conditioner, and for someone with more oily hair this would be a plus. The negative for me is the price & like the shampoo the plastic collar on the top of the bottle irritates me (wasteful, makes bottle look bigger than it is, and adds to cost).
Fekkai wors as advertized and gives hair a youthful look
I don’t use conditioners, but my wife told me she enjoyed the Fekkai hair conditioner. It does not have the overpowering fragrance that most conditioners have. It has a light smell, is fresh to the touch, and has a creamy feeling when you rub it into the hair. She found that the results were what the producers of Fekkai promised: the conditioner gave the hair a brilliant and lustrous shine. She told me that others used it and found that even their dull hair was nurtured and gave it back its youthful and fresh look. She said the conditioner was very easy to use and she will continue using the product in the future.
This is an excellent conditioner which I used along with Fekkai shampoo, and also after using regular drug store type shampoo. In essence, the results were amazing both times. My hair is long, curly/wavy and color-treated. I really should cut several inches off. However, this conditioner totally made my hair look glossy, full of body, and totally not the damaged mess it was before. It did not make it look or feel oily, even the day after I shampooed it. I will most definitely use this again! EXCELLENT product, with no drawbacks.
3.5 Stars – Soft, Shiney Hair but Doesn’t Really Out Do Less Expensive Conditioners
I like this conditioner. It’s easy to apply and it rinses well. My hair looked shiny and soft after using. I would give this 3.5 stars and here’s why:I recently colored my hair for the first time using Clairol Perfect 10 hair color which includes a tube of conditioner and I actually like that conditioner better than this Fekkai though I’m not positive Clairol sells just the conditioner without the hair color. In any case, the Fekkai is somewhat expensive when compared with dept store conditioners and for me, I can’t justify the extra expense when it doesn’t work any better than some less expensive conditioners.Just for the record I live in a rural area and I’m not on town water so my water is somewhat hard. This may work better for those with softer water.
Fried hair turns silky
I bought this conditioner because I read on another website how good it was. It contains olive oil. I tried it, although it is a bit pricey, but was so glad i did. My hair is smooth and frizz free. My hair has been worked over pretty good with highlights throughout and then, highlights ramped up a bit six weeks later. My hair looked fried. Try this, you will have beautiful hair.
Quite brilliant, really!
I’ve been a fan of the glossing cream for years. I never really thought about putting the regime together, I just used the cream after whichever shampoo/conditioner combo I was using at the time. However, never again… this conditioner is amazing and leaves my hair soft, smooth and shiny. The scent is described as a floral botanical, which might be accurate to some scent profiles, but I smell a clean citrus. Regardless of what it is, the scent is amazing to me. Clean, pretty, and not overwhelming or heavy. My hair is thick and wavy, yet fine and easily tangled, so my conditioner needs to walk the fine line between enough moisture and too much, otherwise it’s either a giant frizz or a greasy mop. This walked that line beautifully, it left my hair feeling soft and manageable. Really this is just an all around wonderful conditioner!I will be using this for a looooong time! (In fact, I don’t know what took me so long in the first place!)
Nice new packaging, not so nice new thinner formula
I have been using Fekkai Glossing Conditioner on and off for many years. Up until recently it has been doing a very fine job of keeping my very long highlighted blonde hair silky and smooth. Unfortunately the formula has changed with the packaging. What used to be a decently thick conditioner has turned into a thin watery mess. I wound up using far too much product to get my hair coated and I don’t believe the results were the same. As far as I am concerned, for my type of hair, the cost is just not worth it for me. I will be on the hunt at **Maxx for any of the old bottles.I would recommend this product to anyone with above shoulder length, thinner hair. A nice light weight conditioner with no buildup.
Wonderfully luxurious conditioner
One of the best conditioners I’ve found to date. It’s light weight, yet conditioning. It has a luxurious soft scent that does not bother my sensitive nose. My hair ends up feeling moisturized but not weighted down. It has a relatively thin consistency so it’s not hard to get out of the bottle when it starts to get low. There is a corresponding shampoo that I highly recommend if you enjoy the conditioner. The matching shampoo is moisturizing enough for me that I don’t even need to use the conditioner every single day.I gave it only four stars, because it doesn’t perform the job of a deep conditioning in my opinion. It’s more of a light weight product appropriate for daily use.
Pleasant scent, good results
I tend to go on the cheap for hair products, but recently (thanks to Amazon Vine actually) that has changed and I’ve found out my hair can be even more awesome than it already is. Trust me, it makes a difference in life. The 4 Factors of Conditioner:Delivery: Easy-to-use bottle with sufficient grip, no noticeable spillage, and it’s easy to ration the amount I want.Smell: Not too heavy, beautifully fresh.Feel: Smooth and creamy.Result: Hair that’s easier to brush and control, with a softer feel that makes me want to sit and play with it when I’m supposed to be working. So although this Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Conditioner seems to be on the pricy side, it’s a pleasure to use and I will definitely consider buying more when I run out.
I love the glossing conditioner and coupled with the shampoo, I don’t believe you will find a better product line. The smell of the conditioner while your applying it is a little strange, not good or bad just kind of strange but when you rinse it out it leaves a really great smell to your hair but not overpowering. My hair sparkles with shine and feels like silk. This worked equally great on my sun damaged fine crappy flyaway hair and my husbands perfect thick I’m so jealous hair! I highly recommend this product, the shea one is equally excellent too for extra moisture! Love this product line!
It really does make your hair glossy
First off, I LOVE the smell of this! I’d like this in a lotion — citrusy and light and addictive smelling. The conditioner itself is also light. In fact, when I was combing my hair afterward I had the same tangle issues as usual and I thought it was a bummer. And then my hair dried shiny and soft — something that hasn’t happened since I moved to a house with well water. This conditioner is just amazing. That said, it’s not a detangler, but I think the good thing about that is you don’t have heavy hair that requires washing more often, which most other conditioners seem to do.This is wonderful for my thin, fine, brittle hair.
Little residual build up, very clean and soft finish on my hair. I love it. Many other OTC products are too thick and residual builds up. Works even better with the shampoo. When I use a heat straightener, the hair remains soft and subtle. Worth a little extra money.
Great detangler, softener and gives high shine. It’s hard to find this product in stores, so Amazon has become my go to for Fekkai, I’ve tried several other shampoos and conditioners, but I always return to this brand.
