I’m a big fan of some Dr Bronners stuff (theCatile Soapand theShave Gel, in particular) but not of others like (The Hair Rinse). This is not my favorite.Yes, it sort of can be used as a style creme, but it’s pretty heavy and doesn’t have much hold. There’s also a weird smell. On the plus side, is is functional (it does keep my hair tangle free and moisturized) and has great ingredients. But I’m not quite sure that’s enough to keep me coming back.
Love love this leave in
I ordered this peppermint leave in because I loved the lavender scent so much. You only need a dime size of this leave in and it does the job for moisturization. This will lasts so long because it only takes a little bit and a little bit goes a long way. I love this and you will too if you have African American hair. Natural hair loves this leave in. Thank you Dr. bronners.
I got this for my boyfriend, as he is opposed to using chemicals. It works pretty well, has a light hold, but it does hold well for a while. You do have to use a little more than if you was to use gel. Now, this stuff doesn’t smell too great, not to either of us. It has the peppermint smell yes, but it’s kinda faint and has something else to it…I can’t really explain what it smells like. Also if you use too much or don’t wash it out very well, it leaves your hair greasy.
Didn’t Work for Me
I use diluted dr. bronners tea tree soap for shampoo and tried several of his conditioners and none of them worked for me. I have pretty thick hair but no matter how much or how little of this stuff I used, it wasn’t enough to make my hair manageable.
This stuff is great! has a smooth creamy texture that goes nice and evenly into my hair whether wet or dry. I run a little bit through my coarse thick wavy hair when wet normally, and it keeps it from frizzing and gives it a nice shine. It smells fantastic too! Love that it’s organic and not at all sticky or crunchy.
