Good but not the only option.
I have 3B/C hair and have been a curly girl for a couple of years.I am a mod curly and prefer to use a natural non-sulfate shampoo instead of co-wash. I follow with a rinse out conditioner and a leave in product. When I first began my I used David Babaii for WildAid Hydrating Shampoo, Curls Coconut Sublime Moisturizing Instant Conditioner followed byCurls Curl Souffle Medium Curl Styling Cream, 8-Ounce Jars.I got great results until they stopped making David Babaii for WildAid Hydrating Shampoo and I had trouble ordering Curls Coconut Sublime from Curls directly. I ran out of Babaii and Curls Coconut Sublime at about the same time and could not reorder either (Babaii was unavailable on Amazon and Curls was out of Coconut Sublime). On the advice of another friend who is also a Curly Girl I went to Walgreens and purchasedShea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampooand it replaced both products. But that shampoo proved to be a little too much for my hair.I decided to try another Shea Moisture shampooShea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Control Shampoo – 12 oz.. This was perfect and it replaced both David Babaii and Curls Coconut Sublime. Although I like both products I was able to replace both an expensive shampoo and conditioner with one product that was just as effective.I was able to comb through and de-tangle my curly hair in the shower and did not notice any difference when I used the Babaii Coconut Sublime combination vs Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Control Shampoo; both worked well. There was no difference in result I just step out of the shower apply either Curls Curl Souffle Medium Curl Styling Cream or Curls Whipped Cream Heavy Curl Styling Cream to my wet hair and then shape and dry my hair. What I have found is that the two products that are worth the extra money for me are Curl Souffle Medium Curl Styling Cream or theCurls Whipped Cream Heavy Curl Styling Cream, 8-Ounce Jars. Both are nice and although each is targeted at a different hair texture I can’t see a difference on my hair. Curls was out of the Souffle so I ordered the Whipped Cream and there was no difference.I like the Curls Coconut Sublime. However it is expensive and there are other products that work just as well but cost less. As this market expands there will be even more product choices for curly girls.
I have type 4 a/b hair. I used this product to cowash. After trying this product one time, I have thrown away all other conditioners. This left my hair so soft and my curls were so defined that it frightened me. I have NEVER had a product define my curls like this. My hair was soft as butter. I was ROCKIN curls fresh out the shower with NO MANIPULATION or products…only cowashed with the CURLS COCONUT SUBLIME MOISTURIZING INSTANT CONDITIONER!!!! THIS STUFF IS DA BOMB. I can only state that this product was great with MY hair. Everyone’s hair is different. Even another type 4a/b person might not have the same great results. You have to make a decision to try,or not to try a product knowing that you may have different results.
May just be a staple
This really lathers your hair and makes it feel soft. I might just make this one of my regular conditioners.
Wife loves it…
My wife uses about a thousand gallons of hair products a year. This one is always a staple in her vast selection of moisturizer in our shower. Smells great and leaves her hair sexy and soft. Good price too.
I had a different experience.
I would first like to say that the seller in which I purchased this product from is great. I received my product in 3 days and the product was packaged nicely so that it would not spill open or leak! Thank you!!As far as the conditioner goes, I don’t really care for it. The smell of it is just WONDERFUL. When I use it I want to just eat it! That’s just how good it smells.Every product does not work for everyone, and I kept this in mind when purchasing this product. I have seen some great reviews about it and finally gave into purchasing it. I would just like to say that I use a much cheaper conditioner my Tresseme, I get a 32 oz bottle and it does what this conditioner claims to do. Maybe using the first step will bring about more effectiveness of the product.Overall, this is a good product because it does add some moisture to my hair, it smells good, and it is natural. It’s just not what it’s ampted up to be, for ME. HOWEVER, everyone had different experiences, this is just my experience. My hair is fairly short, very thick, and kinky curly, with somewhat of a wavy pattern as well, so there’s a lot going on with my hair which might be the reason why it isn’t very effective on my hair. My hair is prone to dryness and this just does not cut it, sorry!I will, however, continue to use it and maybe mix in a little Argon oil or wheat germ oil to add a little more shine, moisture, shine, and suppleness to my hair.
