- Breakthrough in polymer technology
- Fast drying, easier and more retentive
- Stronger than traditional liquids
Nice neutral but it doesn’t look that great with my skin. I ended up putting sparkling polish on top and then it was OK. I’ll probably just use this as a base for nail art and not as a stand-alone color.
Color is odd
Don’t like the color with my skin tone. Will likely give it away to a friend who would use it.
Nice addition to Shellac.
I was excited that CND was releasing a more “flaky” glitter – looks fantastic over Black Pool, and gives a normal french manicure a little bit of pizzaz. If you want more glitter, I would suggest 2 coats instead of 1, which can start to get a little thick if you’re not careful – make sure if you’re going to do this, you apply your color coats on the thin side.
Perfect for American French!
I didn’t think I could do my own American Manicure. I’d tried before with regular polish and it was a waste of my time because it looked so bad I had to take it off. This time, I did things differently. Instead trying to be perfect with my tips, I did a basic attempt, but then cleaned up the way I wanted them to look by using a brush dipped in acetone to shape the edge. It was sooo much easier doing it that way!The ‘soft white’ is PERFECT. it is milky & natural looking, not stark and fake. I don’t think you’d be disappointed. I know I sure wasn’t and I’ve gotten several compliments on my nails.I did base coat, beau, soft white on tip, another coat of beau, then top coat.
Very interesting color, needs a bit of sparkle
The quality of all shellac polishes is great. They are absolutely fantastic and I went from doing my nails every other day to doing it once a week ( could be every other week with shellac, but I just like to change nail color about once a week now). The color is very flat grey. I paired it with Negligee and it turned into a very noble blue-grey. I love the combo. It would be boring without some pearlescence. I recommend it for anyone not afraid of edgy color on their nails.
this was in the "gel" nail polish but it is shelac and there’s a difference
I didn’t know that there is a difference between shelac and gel but I guess there is. As far as color all the previous ratings were correct
Nice deep red
Deep red with a tiny amount of sparkle. Needs 2 coats to avoid looking streaky. For this polish you need a UV lamp to cure the polish.
CND Shellac convert…
Accept no substitute, Shellac is the best in this biz… Cocoa is my third color of CND Shellac and I couldn’t be more pleased. I use a popular search engine to see a color on the hands of real women that they themselves have taken and posted online. I knew this color would be lovely with the summer version of my otherwise pale skin (read: tan). The color is the loveliest light brown nude shade. Not too pink, not too coral, and yet not too brown. It’s so classy and looks amazing with a (fake) tan and gold jewelry. As timeless and classy as it is, it also manages to *not* be your grandmother’s super safe nail color. There is a definite sense of elegance and modernity.
Love the Product – Adds Golden Shimmer
I’m new to soak off nails and have tried the Shellac and the various gel products. Like the Shellac best as it seems to last longer. I go in the pool a lot and this doesn’t start peeling away as easily. This color is like a transparent gold color. It can be used alone to give a golden shimmer to the nail, or over two coats of an opaque color to give a golden shimmer to the color.
This product is clear, gives more of an opalescent look rather than the sparkly look I expected. Pretty, but not as noticeable as I thought it would be.
Very pretty, sheer color
This color works great layering with other shellac colors, or for a subtle effect by itself. It has a nice shimmery finish.
I used this on the tips of my nails with the hot pop pink as the base color and it looks great!
This color is kind of weird on my skin tone. Too orangey maybe? I ended up using it as a base for a french mani and putting a single layer of negligee over the finished nail to mellow it out a bit. It turned out ok. I’ll try it again in the summer when I’m not so pasty, in the mean time it’s a color I’ll have to layer.
This one is a very light pink, use it with cream puff for french manicure. Use it alone for an almost bare look.
Another gorgeous color from Shellac
I love using Shellac, and this color is beautiful. ***As always, try to find a swatch of the nail color on an actual finger nail, or other surface (a google search of "Shellac swatch ___color____" will give you a good start). I have found that the bottle color on CND polishes is almost always a little different from the actual color of the polish inside. Iced Coral is a little more iridescent green than the bottle would lead you to believe. It is a great color to use on its own, or to layer on top of other colors for an added sheen. It’s my favorite, most versatile color I own!
I love everything Shellac, this is a bright red. I alway get compliments when I wear it. Fun color to wear!
This is a true red, nice and bright. Unfortunately it seems very thin no matter how many times I shake the bottle so I have to put it on VERY sparingly, which means I need about three full layers of color to get the true effect. All in all it does have the great quality and lasting power of Shellac so I can’t complain too much about the initial application.
I just love CND products and this white is great for french manicures. I wish I was certified but I can’t be around all the smells in a salon due to COPD (stop smoking if you do… this is a horrible disease to live with). But I have a lot of CND products and friends that allow me to play nail salon! 🙂
Doesn’t stick well
The color is true to the sample on the website and looks good. The first coat doesn’t stick as well to the base coat as other shades I have. And, it requires more than two coats for even coverage.
My new favorite shellac color
Masquerade is a beautiful winter color! It’s a deep wine color with just a hint of metallic that adds depth to the color. As with all shellac polishes, it goes on very shiney and lasts for two weeks. Yesterday was two weeks and it just chipped last night. My nails have grown out to the point where I need a re-do anyways. Beautiful, beautiful color!
Great Buy and color!
Loved this color. I got it in the nail shop at first and figured I could do it myself at home. Ordered it and it was the exactly color. Love it. Will be ordering from them again.
Great Winter Color!
I like bright colors for Spring and Summer, so this was a refreshing color for Winter. I got so many compliments and I was happy with what I ordered.
Love the color
This is a beautiful year around color for your nails. Cnd is the best shellac I have used love love it. Highly recommend this color or any others. And it last
Black Pool is another great CND shellac product. It is a true black. Needs two coats to cover completely, but after two, it is a true black and non-transparent. Goes on thin and smooth and does not bubble. Looks amazing with glitter or as a french tip.
Needs 3 coats
My daughter LOVES this purple but you really need to use 3 thin coats for a nice coverage. It’s also pretty when used over another color.
Beautiful and enduring!
I bought a system including aThermal Spa 49135 Professional U/V Gel Light Nail Dryerwith CND base and top coats about six months ago. Purple Purple applies smooth and evenly. Completely opaque with the two recommended layers. Nice medium shade of purple with a moderate amount of blue shimmer so it appears blue from certain angles. Really catches the light and frequently complimented. Lasted a full two weeks.
This color is so pretty. It looks like a burgundy in the picture, but it is actually more of a red. It is still a very pretty color, and I would still recommend it.
Black as night
Best color with ANY foil or sparkle. It really makes the colors pop and not as emo or goth as one would think.
Natural complimentary nail color
I have worn this polish a couple of times and I can’t believe the compliments I get on it! It took me a while to warm up to it’s natural color but once I did I love it. I can wear it longer because the outgrowth isn’t as noticable as when I wear bright colors. Nice alternative to the bright colors I normally (and love) wear.
I am not crazy about the color. The polish itself if great as I think CND polish is the best for shellac.
