When I bought this, I bought the Graftobian palette, too, so that I could compare both before buying the larger container of a single color. The consistency of this palette is a little thicker, not quite as creamy. This can be good in a way because it will probably last longer since my brush doesn’t grab as much. The shade range was not like Graftobian as there was a big difference in the five shades. Graftobian steps up each shade slightly, which is great for determining exactly what shade one would need. This is good for contouring and highlighting, though. The middle and last shade to the right have quite a bit of a red undertone. The coverage is good… medium to full… unless you are trying to cover melasma, which mine peeked through. I have to use the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Enhancer for that, but I use it in conjuction with this. I’ll definitely use it all, but I don’t find myself using it as much as the Graftobian palette. Overall, I’ve learned this is great for contouring/highlighting with the variety of shade difference. While I don’t use it as I initially intended (as full face coverage) it will definitely stay in my makeup routine for contouring.
Takes some experimenting
Lots of colors. Texture is a little slicker than any cream I’ve tried before. Even after pressing powder into it it seems to slide off in 3 hours. Initial application with a beauty blender leaves a gorgeous, luminous finish. I am not a makeup artist so I will try different methods and primers. Only 3 stars because its not something I can use in my everyday routine but it is a nice product if you know what you’re doing. My Bobbi brown concealers are far more efficient with staying power but the darker color is perfect to contour with. Hope this helps.
It works great as concealer or ultra coverage foundation. My professional makeup teacher recommend it and it’s really great. You won’t regret it
Holy Grail Foundation
LOVE T STUFF. wow, this looks natural! And I use so little-will rebuy again and again.I buy it in the #6 shades-I wear MAC NC40 for reference. The 7 & 8 are actually too light, strangely enough. 9 is way too dark.It doesn’t cause breakouts and covers some acne scarring that I’m self-conscious of but it doesn’t look fake. I’ve found the best way to apply it is mixed with a small amount of Cetaphil cream and a foundation brush.
Great when used correctly
I like to apply this foundation with a dampened beauty blender sponge, but a dampened latex sponge would work just as well. You get the best full coverage with the sheerest amount of product this way.
Very satisfied here…
This is an awesome product for those that have skin discoloration. The array of colors are great for different areas of the face. Under the eyes, cheeks, chin, and forehead areas. All areas of the face have different shades and skin tones, and this is a very nice item to accommodate the whole face. especially those that have blemishes, or as someone in my case that has burn scars.Thank you for the order, and I am totally impressed with the product.
Great colors, not drying – only medium coverage though. – comparison with Laura Mercier secret camouflage
Maybe I had higher expectation before the purchase, this palette does meet my need in terms of creating different colors for concealing, but apparently it provides only medium coverage (I don’t have any spots that are extremely dark at all on my face). The texture is rich and will not dry out the skin, which is very good.I also have Laura Mercier secret camouflage concealer palette, which is a star product for concealing. It provides stronger coverage, but is more dying than cinema secrets correctors.
