love the CHI

i have had many a flat irons…expensive, cheap, 1in, 2in etc…and the CHI is the first one i have owned and loved. my hair has never been so soft after use. it heats up and cools down quickly. other flat irons i had to wait at least 30min before i could store it, but the CHI is cool enough to touch after 5 or so minutes. i will definitely buy another later on.

GREAT PRICE, GREAT PRODUCT

I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO EVERYONE. MY SISTER ACTUALLY BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT FROM TARGET OVER A YEAR AGO FOR 96 DOLLARS. I WOULD ALWAYS BORROW THIS FLAT IRON, I LOVED HOW FAST IT HEATED UP AND HOW STRAIGHT AND BOUNCY IT LEFT MY HAIR. MY AUNT ALSO LOVED HOW THIS STRAIGHTEN HER HAIR SO SHE BOUGHT ONE FROM TARGET FOR 99 DOLLARS. I FOUND THIS ON AMAZON FOR 70, BRAND NEW, CANT GET NO BETTER THAN THAT. SHIPPING WAS FAST. LOVE IT

Was expecting better quality

I purchased my CHI Expert at Target for $99.99. I have tried other straighteners, including regular CHI’s, HSI, Remington, IN-Stylers, $20 brands, etc but have never owned one. I have straight very thick hair and recently got a new hair cut which causes my hair to slightly flip up/kink so I needed to purchase a straightener. We don’t have any speciality stores in my town so I went for best one I could find at the local Target.I don’t know, I just wasn’t that impressed, especially after rave reviews. Immediately when I opened the package and felt the straightener it was a let down. It just feels so light and not that good of quality, almost cheap and plasticity. But I still wanted to give it a chance. It takes a bit longer to heat up than other straighteners I have used, but this isn’t that much of a concern for me.When I used it I also was not that impressed. I had to go over pieces of hair several times before it straightened them and some pieces if didn’t even really fully straighten. It somewhat works, but not good enough to warrant $100, or enough $60 in my opinion. To me it is similar quality to some $20 lesser known brand straighteners I have used.I would not recommend this straightener and suggest that others try a cheaper one first or find a different, higher quality straightener. If it cannot even straighten mostly straight hair I do not even know how those with curly/wavy hair can get it to work. Not impressed.

It’s okay

I already had a flat iron but I bought this one as I thought it might do a better job. It doesn’t, though.

My wife loves this thing

So I don’t exactly know much about flat irons but my wife says that this is one of the best because it doesn’t get her split ends. She had her first one for years and finally died so I got this one for her as again and she was very excited.

Not good for 4c hair

I bought this at Walmart, so I’m reviewing the product itself and not talking about the issue this site has with it’s sellers. To be specific I have 4c hair. The coarsest, kinkiest hair out of all the categories. My hair is steel wool! It gets my hair somewhat straight. I think I have to have the right hair spray/gel/lotion to go with it to make it turn out great, or I’m not doing it right since it’s hard for me to do on my own hair. I do on my daughter’s hair, she is about a 3b, they both come out straight-ish but the hair is still fluffy and puffy. I would reccomend only to people that have curly hair, and not coarse AA hair.
