Chemical Peel – 30pct Glycolic Acid Facial Peel

Chemical Peel At Home Glycolic acid peels have been the leader in advanced skin treatments around the world for many years. These peels come in different concentrations varying from 10% to 80%. Glycolic acid is perhaps the best-known of a group of chemicals called fruit acids or alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA). AHA provides an excellent way to penetrate the surface of the skin, resulting in drastic improvements of the skins appearance and feel. Glycolic acid works as an exfoliating agent because of its high acidity but easy solubility. Glycolic Acid goes under the damaged upper layers of skin and destroys the ‘glue’ which holds dead skin to the surface. As this dead skin is chemically released, the other ingredients carry the individual flakes away and a water rinse neutralizes the remaining acid. The result is a much-smoother skin surface and a more youthful appearance. A secondary benefit is glycolic acid’s ability to draw moisturizers into the newly-exfoliated skin surface.Alpha hydroxy acids are an entire family of acids, which can be derived from fruit, milk or sugar. These are most widely used in skin care products as an anti-aging agent. Try it once and you instantly see and feel the results! BURNED MY SKIN!

Followed the directions to the letter. However, when I was on the 3rd week the directions say to increase the time to 5 minutes for the glycolic acid to remain on your skin. This was much too long for my skin, and it burned off the top layer of my skin on my cheek. I had to wear an ugly band aid on my face. This burn also left a dark spot which I now have to get a professional to lighten. Using this product is not worth the nightmare or the headache!WEBMD: Medium-depth and deep peeling may result in swelling, as well as the presence of water blisters that may break, crust, turn brown, and peel off over a period of seven to 14 days. Medium-depth peels may be repeated in six to twelve months, if necessary. Working with a licensed dermatologist to determine the depth of your peel recommended. This joint decision can vary, depending up your skin.It took this company a month to refund my money less the shipping and handling…plus I had to pay to ship the product back. Would never purchase from this company again!

Nice little kit

This is a nice little kit to get you started. Make sure to read the instructions carefully. I actually think their “rinse with baking soda in water” is a mess. Instead I purchased a product: pH neutralizer from Cellbone that’s also available here on Amazon. As far as the brush separating, that’s really not a big deal for me as it seems many do. They really should include a neutralizer.

Great Kit!

I bought this product after trying an expensive product that used pads to do it, but only had six for 70.00. This kit is more involved, yes, but boy, it sure is a lot stronger than the other product I tried! I could only keep it on for 2minutes and 45 seconds. The other, I could keep on for 5 minutes. Wow! What a difference! The fine “worry lines” on my forehead were nowhere to be seen after! and i only had mild redness for about a minute after (thought i’m sure it’s different for everyone). Great value though, and great instructions. I followed the instructions perfectly and everything went perfectly! The stinging did worry me slightly though, especially when i splashed the baking soda water on… WOOOHHH! but all went according to plans. 🙂 I highly recommend this product. 🙂

Great Beginner Peel!

I purchased this glycolic peel because the 30% is considered gentle. I used this product and had no problems! My skin is used to chemicals such as salicylic acid and glycolic acid topical products. The directions say to start out using for 1 to 3 minutes. I could leave mine on for 10 minutes and still didn’t have problems. My face stung a little and became somewhat red, but that was all. I would suggest to beginners to begin at 1 to 3 minutes unless your skin is already use to AHA and BHA. I will probably leave on for 10 minutes on the next use. You must be careful when using peels! Don’t leave the solution on any longer than your face can tolerate it! My face never peeled, but that’s alright. I know this peel benefitted my skin by gently removing the top layer without burning or damaging the skin. This is a good beginner’s peel. I recommend this peel as a safe chemical facial kit….

Wasted money

I watched the youtube tutorials on this and wanted to make sure i didnt burn my skin. I did weekly treatments adding more time sitting on my skin every week and seen no real change. My skin didnt peel or seem any better or different. I could honestly wash my face with an exfoliant and feel more revived. I will not bother with this stuff again

Glycolic acid 30%

Product works fine,. I dont use it on my face, i use it for hands, knees and elbows. I only use 10% on my face to avoid being burned. All the products that comes with the solkution are great, I do use those on my face. It’s a very nice kit to have and I plan on ordering another one when I run out. Prompt shipping.

Definitely worth the money

If you want to experiment with peel yourself, try this product. It’s really nice and it gets the results. I put it on my face every weekend for a few months and I still have like of a bottle left. It doesn’t take much but it does the work. Don’t expect miracles, though. This is very gently (if you do it right) so it is very good for use “at home”. If you want a cosmetic, dramatic results, go to a spa and pay $300.

Scary

This stuff burned like a son of a gun. I will never ever try anything like this again. I was left with a burn on my chin that took forever to go away and I followed the instructions to the letter. I think I’ll leave this kind of thing to the professionals!

Have used it 3 times

Used it three times with no noticeable results. I use glycolic acid in other skin care products so it can be that I need a higher concentration than 30% to notice a difference.

i used this to get rid of tiny facial warts.after 4th use i can see significant difference of the warts. my face became so much smoother.however, if you are clumsy person, dont buy this product bc it is too risky for you.you have to apply really thin layer otherwise you can can blisters or burns / get the acid in you eyes.overall skin tone also improved significantly.

This little kit is pretty cool. It worked well

This little kit is pretty cool. It worked well, until the last application, which made my skin temporarily suck. I think the aftercare lotion got old.
