Atrocious fragrance

I use Cetaphil cleanser, and thought this bar would be easier to deal with. Instead it’s the most atrocious smelling, over-fragranced product I’ve ever had the displeasure to purchase. Cetaphil is known for being free of harsh detergents. It would be nice if it was also free of harsh scents. If you thought Irish Spring was over the top…. this soap smells like vinyl mixed with Grandma’s perfume. It will make you wince from three feet away. NOT for guys. It’s also available for a tenth of this figure elsewhere (google it).

Also I have noticed my skin just “Looking healthier” since using this soap. I will continue to buy this. I could not find this in a store, so was glad to see amazon have it, and the 6 Bar package is great Priced! One bar Last a Good Long while. Fast shipping too!

Used for over 10 years!

This is the only bath soap I use… have very sensitive, allergy prone skin and this is my bath soap. I think I have used for over 20 years, but can’t even remember when I was not using this product. I use all the Cetaphil skin cleansers… this product was developed by a reconstructive/skin surgeon and does not destroy the healthy skin mantle but still cleans and lowers the bacterial level naturally. Great for babies too! No fragrance at all so you won’t smell a thing!

Smell is way too strong and makes me sneeze for hours after using it.

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, so I decided to give this a try. I bought it at the store, not Amazon. I also just checked the box, and it is this specific one, not the Antibacterial one. Oh, and the box it came in is a week old (we recycle) and still reeks of this soap. I don’t know how people are saying that it has no smell because this scent is so overpowering that I smell it for hours in the bathroom after a shower and on my hairline. I just ordered some Reviva bar soaps, hoping that they are also non-drying and don’t smell too strongly. I’ve been using dove bar soap for awhile and it smells wonderful, but it is too drying on my face.

Softens as it cleanses

This soap has been a tried and true favorite of mine for over a decade and a half. I have sensitive skin that seems to react to anything that comes within six inches of contact. Cetaphil bar soap cleans thoroughly yet gently and doesn’t strip my skin of its natural moisture balance. The fragrance is mild and pleasant. It doesn’t smell like anything specific; just “soapy” and clean/fresh. One bar lasts surprisingly long, especially if you take care to store it away from direct moisture (i.e. in a soap dish w/drainage slots, rather than keeping it in your shower or bath where it’s humid/damp). I can actually feel a significant change in the softness of my skin since I first started using this soap, and there’s a visible all-over glow. I also keep a bar of this in my kitchen and use it as hand soap; it totally softens the skin on my hands (I’m a frequent hand-washer). The backs of my hands feel like silk; not even kidding. There’s a reason Cetaphil is the dermatological gold standard when it comes to cleansers. I have a dermatologist in my family, and he has recommended Cetaphil cleansers and moisturizers for as long as I can remember. If you’re looking for a no-frills bar soap that cleanses without drying and leaves your skin feeling baby-butt smooth, then look no further. Apart from the odd hotel mini soap when I’m traveling (Molton Brown, anyone?) I won’t use any other soap. Cetaphil falls under the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” category for me. I’ve repurchased this so many times — I lost count a long time ago! — and I’ll probably use it forever.

Saving Money and face

I decided it was more cost efficient to get the bars instead of the liquid, though I like the liquid. If you have Roseaca, this is a great product to use and is much less expensive than a prescription cleanser (I know I tried them) and does just as well. Even my dermatologist said my cleaning regime was getting the results he wanted. It leaves a nice coating on your skin to protect it after you wash it. Twice a day, every day, no matter your age.

Perfect for sensitive skin

The Cetaphil cleansing bar is the only soap we use to bathe or wash our hands with in our household. The soap is gentle to sensitive skin and non-drying. For us it helps alleviate our dry skin or Atopic Dermatitis symptoms. Our doctor recommended we switch to Cetaphil products and after doing this our skin conditions have improved. After bathing or washing our hands with the Cetaphil soap we apply the Cetaphil hand cream or hand lotion to help moisturize our dry skin.Highly recommend.

Nice for sensitive skin

I have VERY sensitive skin and easily develop rashes from fragrance. I purchased this after the doctor suggested Cetaphil for my newborns. I use the liquid skin cleanser for my babies, and the soaps for myself. The soaps have a mild pleasant smell. I used to spend $$$ on essential oil natural products (Copa soaps) for years and chide myself for doing so when I could have used Cetaphil. This product is less mild compared with the gentle skin cleanser so I don’t use it for my babies, but it works very well for me. I like the smell and will continue using it for myself.

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar

Love this product this is the second time I have ordered this. Leaves my skin clean and soft. Even better than dove. Doesn’t dry out and is good for my skin. Very happy with my order.

Excellent cleanser, but those with sensitive noses should give it a pass

I really like this cleanser. Wtih age, my skin has gotten more sensitive and it’s difficult to find products that don’t cause irritation. This bar isn’t drying or irritating, but cleanses very nicely. However, it does have a strong scent. I have chronic allergies so don’t have a particularly sensitive nose, but I don’t care for strong artificial scents and I can smell this bar as soon as I walk into my bedroom. What’s odd is that the scent doesn’t seem that strong when I’m actually using the bar. In any case, I can tolerate the scent because otherwise the bar works so well for me, but if you have any kind of scent sensitivity I would purchase something else.

Eczema Relief

We have battled eczema with my son since right after his birth. We finally came up with a routine that works for him. We use Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar every night during his bath. After his bath and every morning we use Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream Fragrance Free. This has made a huge impact on his skin. Cetaphil is safe for all ages and his dermatologist highly recommended it.

Clean and fresh

I am a soap guy and I use a wide array of french, spanish, herb, aroma-therapy, and milled soaps. While this soap is not fragrant like some of my more expensive soaps it leaves you feeling clean and fresh. This is a no frills soap which will leave your skin clean with no residue.

Better than Dove

I have sensitive skin and I have tried many products. After using Dove bars, I get a little bumpiness. This product does not irritate my skin at all and I use their lotion as well.

Love this soap

I have eczema and I find Cetaphil to be the one soap that actually helps (or at least doesn’t make things worse). The product is not cheap but this is the best price I have found anywhere. I say go for it!

I Like it………….

Doesn’t seem to be harsh and wash all the oil out of my skin. Also, it doesn’t seem to smell like a cat house and lasts about as long as other bars this size.I’m an old man so I don’t get all greasy and filthy dirty so I don’t need kerosene and a lava bar to freshen me up some. Also, I don’t like going to the store and them telling me what I have to buy.I’ll but what I wanna buy as long as I can use this computer.

Good Moisturizing Bar

This is a very gentle soap that leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. When I initially bought it, the price was really good, but it has since increased, unfortunately. I would recommend this soap to anyone who has sensitive or dry skin.

Expensive Soap – But My Skin Loves Me

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar is expensive! Ridiculously expensive. But this cleansing bar – NOT SOAP – is excellent. I prefer the Cleansing Bar over Cetaphil’s pump cleanser because it foams so I can feel its coverage. The pump cleanser doesn’t foam and when your eyes are closed you don’t know whether you’ve fully cleaned your face or not. But still, $21 for 6 bars of soap?!?!

Very Drying and Strong Scent

I made the mistake buying a six pack of this soap solely on the brand name and the claim that it’s "gentle". I found it extremely drying and the scent was incredibly strong, so much so that the smell lingered on my skin hours later. I ended up unable to use it after 4 days. Anybody want 5 bars of soap???

Must Have

This is the only thing I shower with. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t bother me, you can also use this on your unmentionables without the risk of irritation, which is impressive. If you have sensitive skin, I implore you to use this, its great!

Acne problem solved!

I have battled acne for about 3 years now. It all started after I gave birth to my son. I read the reviews on this cleaning bar and decided to give it a try. It has drastically cleared up my face in combination with Dickinson’s witch hazel. I would suggest this to anyone who has any kind of acne issue as I had it all. I had cystic acne, black heads, & white heads. I do still get some breakouts (mainly due to forgetfulness) but all in all, this has given me great confidence with my face.
