machine lost suction… and no way those are diamond tips

I purchased this machine because of great feedback from others, however mine didn’t last a month. It lost suction after second use. Additionally the tips are not diamonds but some cheap metal, with a rough finish. Really not something i appreciate scratching my face with.I returned the machine and I am waiting on some great cistomer service. I hope they don’t dissapoint.CAn’t wait for resolution …

Salon Quality At Home!

Loved it! If you are into getting microdermabrasions at the salon, then this is a great way to save money. I’m a satisfied customer.Pros:
• The head pieces are great…they have a guide right on the box to let you know which headpiece is for what specific need (face, scars, nose etc…)
• It comes with enough circular filters and extra accessories.
• The unit is small which is perfect to store anywhere.
• The suction is great for at home use and the dial is easy to turn.
• Not noisy
• Cost effective
• Smooth skin ( Helpful hint: Remember to use extra sunscreen after you microderm because you want to protect the new layer of skin from harmful rays.)Cons:
• My only issue is that it came with two (one blue and one red) pieces which aren’t explained in the guide. I tried looking for it online as the guide suggested but the video didn’t show the same model. I assumed it was some type of filter so I attached one end to the microdermabrasion machine and the other end to the tube.

Tripollar Stop – Radio Frequency Facial Skin Tightening Machine, Non Invasive Face Toning, Wrinkles Remover

STOP is a remarkable new clinical skin renewal device that postpones and reverses the signs of ageing, bringing about a fresh, younger look that until now could only be achieved through professional treatments. STOP has started a revolution by transforming the professional treatments into a self-administered clinical treatment, in the comfort of your home. STOP uses clinically proven Frequency technology to gently heat the skin from inside. A warm, relaxing sensation is felt over the skin surface while the anti-ageing, therapeutic action is taking place in the deeper layers of the skin. This heat induces an increase in dermal activity resulting in the stimulation of collagen production and thickening of the dermis (the skin’s foundation) leading to visible skin tightening, firming and renewal. The recommended treatment regimen of 12-15 minutes, 2-3 times a week, for 6 to 8 weeks will significantly reduce facial wrinkles and fine lines, providing you with improved skin texture and long lasting results. STOP Kit Includes: STOP clinical skin renewal device – available in Classic Red, Elegant Black or Cool White STOP Power Supply lead with Electrical Supply Adaptor fitted with 2 pin European plug and 3 pin UK plug STOP Electrical Outlet Adaptor STOP Preparation Gel (50ml) – specifically formulated for use with the STOP device. My preliminary impression: favorable

–UPDATE 6-7-14: I used this device off and on for about a year. It’s okay, but I recently got a Tria Skin laser device. That’s a much better product and will produce better results. Spend your five hundred on the Tria, not this thing, would be my own personal recomendation.–I’ve been using the Stop device for six weeks now, so it’s still a little early to draw a final conclusion, but so far I can say it operates as it’s supposed to. It’s simple to use, and it’s pretty cool the way it shuts off just when it gets to the pain level. I’ve been using it on level “high” and I don’t move it very quickly over my face so that I make sure to feel the sting. I do the right half of my face one day and the left half on the next, and my neck on day three. I make several pases, and spend about 10 to 15 minutes. I have seen a very minor tightening effect thus far: it does seem to be improving my skin tone. I’m in my fifties but I have really good skin and just very slight sagging, so I don’t need a lot. I will say this though, it is a bit of a chore to use it and so one needs to be motivated to stick with it. As a side note I want to add: the gel that comes with this is heavily perfumed so if you’re sensitive to that as I am, you might want to get some glycerin based product as a substitute, which I’ve read works just as well. Anyway, I’ll do an update in a few weeks.UPDATE 1-28-13 — Alright, I’ve been using it about two months now and I can definitely see improvement in my skin. There is some general tightening, and my skin looks a little smoother. Nothing dramatic, but definitely something to be happy about. I’ll update again in a couple of weeks.UPDATE: 3-13-13 — No big changes from my last update – I’m in maintenance mode now. I’m still happy with the subtle improvement the Stop has made to my face. I notice in the morning especially that my skin is tighter than it was four months ago. It hasn’t taken ten years off my face, but it does make it look slightly better. I do use other products as well, I should mention. I derma needle every six weeks and also do a TCA peel every few months. I use Retin-a as well. I think using *all* this stuff definitely pays off.UPDATE: 5-10-13 — In the past month I’ve gotten some more noticeable results from the Stop by moving the device even more slowly over my face — even pausing it briefly in certain spots, letting it burn a little more. It is a bit risky to do it this way because it sometimes can cause blistering. I did have this happen a couple of times but everything did heal well. Anyway, the more intensely you apply the heat from this thing the more results you’re going to get. I work at home so it’s not a problem for me to have a couple of red spots on my face from time to time, so I’m willing to be aggressive. This device does work, but I would agree with others who’ve said the results are good, but not necessarily amazing.UPDATE: 7-6-13 — So after six months of using it I’ll say this thing was, on balance, a good purchase. But while it makes a slight improvement in your face with regular use don’t expect miracles. I do continue to use it along with TCA peels but the TCA peels actually have more effect.

Results, yes – when it works

I am approaching 50 years old, but look much younger. I’d like to keep it that way and so to fight some signs of aging I decided to try this product. Here are my findings:- The cord is awkward and doesn’t stay in well while in use. I have to unplug and re-plug it into the unit repeatedly throughout a treatment to keep the unit on.- The light that indicates when to move to another section on the face only works sometimes. I do understand that for the indicator to work you need to keep all posts on the face. Since I did like the results I got I figured I’d overlook that, since found I could easily gage when to move when I started feeling a bit of warmth.- When I first started using it I’d get red, rough patches on my skin a day or so later. The company suggested I use more prep gel. The prep gel is VERY expensive and you do have to use a fair amount. That did resolve the issue, though. For results I’d give this 4 stars. For the machine itself, issues with it and the high price of the gel it gets 2. This is how I cam to three stars for this review.

be wary of reviews posted here for this product

I purchased the tripollar stop and pose though not here on amazon because when I looked at the seller information it said there were no refunds. I don’t know if that holds true for this current seller. Be sure to double check! IMO–this device is expensive whether it works or not, so you certainly want to safeguard your wallet in any event. Now as far as the actual performance of this device, I have only used it one time, and there is a bit of a learning curve because you do want to be careful and not burn yourself which is easy to do if you ever just pause in one location. You must remember to lift the device off your skin. This is more of an issue with the pose especially if you try to use it on your love handles. Awkward to position yourself and keep device moving, but it is possible. That’s part of the learning curve. I do feel that the pose works even after just using it one time. The stop, I’m not completely sure because I think I need to use a higher setting. Being that that was used on my face, I was super cautious. I’m also concerned about the effect on any broken capillaries as to what extent it will help or cause those to only look worse. I can’t find any information about this in the product information, so only time will tell. Now about my title line: I really do appreciate amazon reviews, I do, but I get a little concerned especially if the seller is not local and there are all these reviews by people who have NO other reviews on their account— just this review. Please be careful of those. Those types of reviews can, not always, but can be fake. I did notice that some of the bad reviews were also posted by some people with no other reviews, as well. I’ve been told that this can be representatives of sellers competing against each other depending on what is written or simply by a competitor of a similar device or product. At any rate, I will be happy to update my honest review once I have more experience with the stop and pose. The reason I’ve only used the stop and pose one time is because the seller did not send me a U.S. electrical outlet adaptor, so since the seller is out of the country and the shipping on the new adaptor will take time, I’ve used an all-purpose adaptor I bought here on amazon —and just recently received— that people use when traveling out of the U.S.So far, I’m favoring the pose over the stop. I did find that starting on low on the stop as recommended means it takes quite a while for the orange light to come on. Since the stop is a smaller unit (nodes on end are smaller for face) it takes even longer to do all parts of the face—but again, that was on the low setting. At the rate I was going, it was taking TOO long. Then again, after messing around with the device on low for as long as I did, I was afraid to spend more time on a higher setting. I will try again soon. This can take a bit of time, and yes, it is gooey. I don’t like the smell of the gel either on the face, so I read somewhere that you can use organic glycerin. I used that and liked it better. It wasn’t just the smell though. I was concerned that something with all those ingredients, further heated up and sinking into my pores might not be the best thing. I have seriously sensitive skin on the face and though it took forever for the orange light to come on, my face turned red immediately because of the gel. The gel smells like strongly of gardenias to me. Again, it’s time consuming because of the actual therapy and then you have to clean all that gooey gel off. When I’ve done similar treatments in a doctor’s office, the nurse/aesthetician always said if you’re heating up the skin, you don’t want to cool it down washing off or wiping off the gel with cold water. Even if you feel hot, try to avoid cooling your skin down because it may impact the effectiveness of the treatment. I didn’t see anything about this in the instructional booklet, but again, that’s what the aesthetician told me when I tried the skintyte treatment. Also, as others have mentioned, you will be red, and so don’t do this before going out on the town. You’ll need a good solid hour at least for the redness to totally dissipate. Then again I have sensitive skin, so it may just be me.I’ll update soon. Good luck to you. (Oh, I’m in my mid-forties and could stand to lose about 20-25 lbs. Just thought I’d throw that out there because I cringe when a 20-year old posts a review about how great skin care is when they’ve practically just exited the womb! Just kidding—love all you 20-year olds out there. I was one of those once, after all. :)Just keep the REAL reviews coming. That’s all I ask as a fellow Amazon shopper.
