I use this product to seal my natural hair during the winter..it does wonders!! I have woken up in the morning with an itchy scalp due to the dryness that cold weather brings. I have a tight curl pattern after transitioning to natural hair. As part of my hair care regime, I mix aloe vera gel, NOW Foods Vegetable Glycerine and a bit of MSM powder in a spray bottle. The Glycerine acts like a sealant on my hair, not too greasy or oily. It definitely stops the itching (along with the Aloe Vera gel too). I recommend this product and keep it around all winter.

[UPDATE] I have just about stopped using this product. It worked like a dream on my hair for a couple months (see below), but now something has changed. I put it into my hands and it burns; I can literally feel the palms of my hands heating up. I thought it might just be me so I have tried this on several occasions. I actually even put it on the tip of one of my fingers and it immediately began to heat up. I’m not sure if something has corrupted my glycerin, like heat or something like that, but I can’t use it anymore. I just don’t know what happened. [End of Update]I mix about 20-25% Glycerin with about 75% water (and a little bit of Castor Oil and DooGro)in my spritz bottle and my afro is a soft dream. You really don’t need a lot of this product to make your hair soft. My afro used to be coarse and felt carpet-like, but now it feels softer. I love this and will definitely be using it in the future.

My dad used this stuff. Still does! I vividly remember him shaving every morning and wondering when I’d be able to do the same. Now I can, and I hate it! I hate shaving, but also this stuff is total garbage! What were you thinking, dad?!?!?—My dad shaves with an old-school single-blade gillette razor. He has used Barbasol for as long as I can remember. He loves it and will never change.–I use a 6-bladed dorco razor and generally use any kind of gel-based shaving "cream". I’m currently using the Dove brand which is kinda nice.–On a recent trip home, I didn’t bring my shaving gel. It takes up too much room and I figured I’d borrow what I found at my parent’s home. I used Barbasol. IT CUT ME UP SO BAD I WAS SHOCKED!!! This stuff offers NO protection and has NO moisturizing ability!! You might as well use NOTHING when shaving instead of this stuff!!! OH I WAS SO MAD!!! I was bleeding like CRAZY and cut myself up like you wouldn’t believe!!! And – AND I thought "maybe I am an idiot shaving" so a few days later, I tried again! But AGAIN it cut me up wicked bad!!!!When I returned home – smooth sailing. My 6-bladed thingamajig worked just awesome with my Dove gel. Even this morning I didn’t cut myself at all. Nice.—Unless you’re a 70 year old man who has been using this stuff his whole life, AVOID.

There really is a difference applying cream than gel. Cream is ready to go, gel you need to rub. With cream, there is not much feel to it and feels that it does not do much at all. To get a cream in Gillette you need to purchase one which is for females and sales for less than gel. Regardless, amazing amount of chemicals. Not bad can to have for rainy days for the price where I ran out of my organic shaving cream without chemicals or the pricey L’Occitane.

Let’s face it. When it comes to shaving cream in an aerosol can, all the name brands do the job. This is certainly true of Barbasol. It has a rich, thick foam. It helps moisturize the face and protect the face as your razor glides over your face, taking with it a pretty large number of skin cells. (We may as well be honest about this.) And it has a nice smell to it. So, what makes Barbasol different from other shaving creams? Well, my experience is that it is generally a few pennies less than some of the other brands. Seeing that I use a can of shaving cream every six months or so, I’m guessing I’ll be saving maybe ten dollars in a lifetime of shaving. So, if Ben Franklin was right, using Barbasol is worth it.

I have tried the new three, four, and five-blade “high brand recognition” razors that have recently hit the market. You know, the ones that are so costly that some pharmacies keep them in special locked display sections as a deterrent to shoplifting. Well, now it seems BIC doesn’t just make pens. These razors feel and perform just as well as those previously mentioned, and are a lot cheaper. I returned to my pharmacy the next day to buy a second pack to make sure that low price wasn’t a mirage. So why throw your money away?
Terry Natural Dam, AR
This razor is really good for a disposable. The cartridges last a long time and you get 6 or 8 with each new handle, which is also disposable. There are 3 blades in each one so you get a nice close shave. Its more economical than the regular disposables because it lasts as long as a regular cartridge, without the cuts you get from a cheap disposable.

BIC Soleil Bella Disposable Razor for Women.
- 3 count disposable razor
- Four flexible e-z rinse blades that individually adjust to your skin for an ultra-smooth shave
- Pivoting Head
- Soothinig moisture strip enriched with coconut milk
These are ok. Nothing to write home about. They hold up about average. Overall I probably would buy again as a cheap throwaway razor.
Kimberley Wapiti, WY
Razors are so expensive. I used to spend tones on replacement heads for my fancy razor but these are cheaper and work great. I’ll never go back to spending $20 on 4 heads again.Note: make sure to get the 4-blade ones. The extras make all the difference.
Tamika Ballico, CA
I like these razors; my legs seem to stay smooth longer. I use Lady Cremo shave cream with it. I’ve just learned that you can extend the time you use a razor blade by cleaning it on an old piece of denim after it goes dull. I plan to try that with these.

well its shaving cream, it does what it should… came quickly, packaged well, no issues, same price as in stores, with free shipping through the add on (I just added it to get to the $25 free shipping lol), but it smells really good, and this is my fav shaving cream, it lathers well, is always well prices everywhere, always easy to find, and doesn’t leave my skin dry, and I never cut myself using this, so many good things, highly recommended!

This is so far the best shave gel I have found. I have tried several types. I even tried the different scents, but I keep going back to this one. It smells nice and works really well. Always leaves my legs soft after using. It also lasts a long time. I am not impressed by the shave creams. Gels are the way to go though!

I can tell a huge difference in this product from others. It leaves my skin feeling much softer. When I use this I don’t even dread shaving!

Barbasol makes an excellent shaving cream with aloe for us men who need to shave off that facial hair we get. I suppose that women could also use this same cream to shave their legs or underarms–but regardless of who’s using this, please–oh, please–wet the skin first with warm water before putting on the shaving cream and shaving! You’ll cut yourself all over if you don’t! This caveat holds true for all brands of shaving creams. Now that THAT’S out of the way, I can’t say enough good things about this shaving cream. It’s affordable; it can fit into an overnight carrying bag; the cap stays on so the cream can’t dispense itself and ruin whatever is close to it; the cream stays fresh for a very long time and it does indeed help greatly to moisturize and lubricate your skin just before and during your shave. Excellent! In particular, this type of Barbasol is very good for those of us like me who have sensitive skin. My skin has become more sensitive with time and it’s easier on my face when I shave with this–I nick myself a lot less! It’s so easy to use, too: Just shake the can up and down several times, remove the cap and push down on the top button to make the shaving cream come out of the nozzle.Overall, Barbasol shaving cream is truly the best shaving cream I’ve ever used. Stock up today; you won’t be disappointed.

Are you looking for razors that not only do the job, but are able to do the job time and time again? What if I told you that you can use the same razorblade for several weeks possibly even MONTHS, and they only get slightly dull as time goes on? That’s exactly what makes Wilkinson Sword razors MUCH better than every other razorblade company I’ve tried thus far. The best part is that these excellent razors are sold relatively cheap at your local Dollar General store.Get this, I’m NOT making this up. I shave every 3-4 days (I have to otherwise I get really itchy!). From July of last year until January of this year, I’ve been using exactly ONE Wilkinson razor the whole time. By late October it finally got a little dull, but it didn’t completely wear out until January of this year. If I can go 6 months using the same exact razor… why bother buying any other brand of razors? It’s clear to me that Wilkinson Sword is the best.I highly recommend ignoring popularity, ignore the ads you see on TV (particularly during sporting events) showing off the top name companies with some pretty boy shaving happily in his bathroom mirror while some generic cheesy macho music plays in the background, and go with Wilkinson Sword. They won’t let you down.
Mina Gold Run, CA
A pack of these came with my Merkur razor. They are the dullest blades I’ve ever used. I actually quit mid-shave and put a Feather blade in to finish. Maybe I just got a bad pack, but I’d never buy these. The Feather blades are maybe the sharpest out there. I probably gave them one star too many. Even a bad blade should be good for one shave. The Wilkenson Sword blade I used wasn’t good for anything.

Introduced in 1995. Fragrance notes: warm fresh mint, lavender, orange blossom and woods, manly and warm. Recommended use: casual. When applying any fragrance please consider that there are several factors which can affect the natural smell of your skin and, in turn, the way a scent smells on you. For instance, your mood, stress level, age, body chemistry, diet, and current medications may all alter the scents you wear. Similarly, factor such as dry or oily skin can even affect the amount of time a fragrance will last after being applied

I briefly dated a man who wore this as his signature scent. After one whiff, I’ve never been able to forget how amazing it smells — I still pass men wearing this and want to jump their bones. The hype is right, men. Women love this scent. This is a scent that will get you laid. It’s so good, in fact, that I’ve bought a bottle for my boyfriend and insisted he wear it. It really does seem to be a universally flattering scent, and at about $60 for 4.2oz, it’s a better deal than most of the perfumes I buy for myself.
Marlene Manchester, WA
This cologne was recommended to me by a friend of mine about five years ago. She told me that she wished her boyfriend wore it, and if I wanted to “drive the ladies crazy” to get this fragrance by Jean Paul Gaultier. She continued to say it is the cologne in the bottle shaped like a man’s body.A few days later I went to the store and smelled this cologne. I loved it and bought it right then and there. It has a sweet, spicy, musky and dark aroma. A fragrance good for the day or night use. As for what my friend said about this fragrance, she was correct, I have gotten only positive feedback by women when I wear it.

This smells almost exactly like John Varvatos by John Varvatos.Varvatos is half the price. Be smart; at least sample both before buying.Don’t pay so much for a name, a can, and a bottle.I wanted to make it 4 stars because of the price, but the longevity is 16 hours and Varvatos is only around 8 hours.

Seriously. Joan discovered the use of eye shadow for her scalp, just like some people also use eye shadow for filling in sparse eyebrows. My suggestion is: find an inexpensive eye shadow at the store like I did to hide my scalp and gray hair between coloring. (I didn’t get the idea from Joan.)If you think it won’t work as well, go for what Joan offers but understand it’s just a pigmented powder you can find anywhere…even on Amazon.
Ella Wayne, ME
The brush and product looks nice but the color itself in ash is quite ugly. I dont like the way the salt and pepper looked on my gray hair color. I am not sure about the other colors. I ended up using the brush and just mixing some brown eyeshadow powder instead. It worked better. Not worth the cost in my opinion.

I don’t love this product. But for my needs, it’s the best I’ve been able to find, and it does an adequate job.I have frontal thinning. As such, hair thickeners such as Toppik and Caboki are NOT recommended–they are basically powder fibers that you sprinkle on your head, and you wind up with a sharp change in color at the hairline–that classic “Dracula” hairline. Because Joan’s product is applied to the scalp, it acts to create a shadow effect in your hair. You have to have surrounding hair to hide the fact that you have dark smudges on your scalp…but if you do, it works reasonably well. I’ve asked my husband if he can tell I have the product in my hair, especially since my thinning is up front. I have a thin hairline, and the spots I fill are directly behind the hairline. Hubby says he cannot tell. If you stand up close to me and look closely, you WILL see the product. But most people will not be that close, and even up close, you have to be looking to spot it.The product takes time to put on. You cannot simply smear it onto your scalp the way you smear eye shadow on your lids–if you do, the world will know you’re wearing this stuff. You have to do a dab-dab-dab motion in order to keep it looking natural. Move a section of hair, dab dab dab, and move on to the next section. To cover the front of my scalp takes 5-7 minutes. If you’re particularly thin up front, it will take several efforts to become expert enough to make the stuff look like shadows instead of obvious black smudged in your hair.I have not had problems whatsoever with the product running from sweat during workouts, or getting caught in the rain, or swimming–and I’ve indeed done all of the above. However, running your hands through your hair or scratching your scalp WILL end with black on your fingers or fingernails. In fact, I’ve noticed that I have to clean my nails often–I get dirty blackness behind them every day.I tried Caboki in hopes that I could circumvent the downsides of this product. Caboki is similar to Toppik. At least for me, these types of hair thickeners are not an option. Besides being incredibly messy (you sprinkle it on you head, and so the powder winds up EVERYWHERE), it also is VERY obvious if the area you are covering is frontal. Those products will work much better for someone who has top or back balding, and has enough surrounding hair to hide it.I’m coming back now for my first refill of Joan’s product. It’s not perfect. But short of a transplant, it’s the best I’ve found yet for frontal thinning.
