I purchased this stuff because of the many glowing reviews it received, and I wanted to see for myself how well I would like it. I did not like it, and it did not appear to do much for me. My skin did not feel as if it were cleaned. I feel better using cetaphil or even anthony logistics over this. will not purchase again.

This DHC oil is very similar to using Shu Imura’s oil which is too expensive for a cleanser. I have used Shu’s before and I can’t tell a difference in the results except that DHC might be a little thicker oil (not that it’s a bad thing). Saves time by removing eye makeup and cleansing face with one product. Removes mascara with no problem along w/ face makeup and oily grime on the face. Love that it comes in a pump too. My 14-yr old daughter said that it got her blackheads out, and this was on the first day she used it. I did not check her nose to see if it was true. But she is an intellegent girl so I didn’t doubt her. I was amazed. I don’t have blackheads of my own.Tips for using oil:– Use clean, dry hands and apply to a dry face. Not sure if it will work on wet skin. You can apply then jump into the shower, but it rinses off easily in the sink too. Nowadays, I use it to remove my eye makeup and use another cleanser on my wet face, just to try a new cleanser with more skin benefits.– If you have other skin conditions, I’d recommend that you also use a specialized cleanser afterwards. For me (oily/combo non-sensitive skin), it gets my face so clean that I don’t have to use a toner unless I have extra time on my hand (like never).– I pump some into my left palm, apply to forehead, nose, and right cheek with right hand fingertips (only lightly to closed eyes so that it doesn’t drip into eyes), then wipe the remaining oil in my palm on my left (untouched) cheek so as not to waste any product. After I spread the oil evenly all over, I massage the oil into face with fingertips to remove face makeup. After that, I gently rub eye liner from both bottom lash lines, then rub each top lid while closing the eye, and rinse with water. Takes only one pump and 2-3 minutes to do all that.– Avoid getting too much oil near the inner corners of the eyes even when closed. I think I remember it stinging a little if it gets in eyes.– My daughter at times has blemishes so her shower routine is to cleanse w/ the DHC oil, get in the shower, and then use LaRoche Posay BioMedic cleanser with a Clarisonic brush to really get her face clean.

I’m 30, and i finally found the best facial cleansing and make up remover product out there. My make up just melts off and is excellent for aging skin like mine as well as acne prone sin, again, like mine. This also works great for cleaning your make up brushes. When i used soap or detergent on them they wold fall apart over time because it was too rough on them and brushes cost $money$ if you want good ones. So this not only removes stubborn thick and waterproof make up but will clean and pro long your make up and foundation brushes as well.

I decided to purchase this item despite the bad reviews it got here, because I saw it used very effectively in a YouTube video by a beauty guru.It works amazing! It’s probably the best makeup remover I’ve used, because when I take my makeup off and go in the shower, this is the only one that doesn’t have me looking like a raccoon by the end of my shower. It takes it all off, no matter what. Now, here’s the thing that people may not know about makeup removal:You’re supposed to apply this on a cotton round, cotton pad, cotton ball, you name it,Then you put this on your eye for about 20 seconds, and then wipe. It breaks off the makeup. Trust me on this. So simple!I just wish it was bigger, but I guess there must be a bigger size.

Removes my stubborn waterproof mascara and bulletproof under eye concealer like a charm. Best remover I’ve ever tried, hands down. I think I’m on my sixth bottle, maybe seventh (lost count). Doesn’t bother my contacts, doesn’t have a weird greasy consistency AT ALL, leaves no residue, does the job. Perfect. If I’m being nit-picky, the packaging isn’t stellar, but the product is so good that I honestly couldn’t care less. Love it and will continue to repurchase.

After using the same makeup remover for over five years, I thought I’d try something new. I chose this eye makeup remover because the waterproof mascara I use is from Maybelline and it made sense that this remover would actually work on it.Saturday morning I put on my mascara. Saturday evening, I used this to remove it. Sunday morning, I woke up with raccoon smudges under my eyes. That NEVER happened with my other makeup remover. I used the makeup remover again, washed my face. That afternoon, I still had smudges. So I used it again and took a shower.Monday morning I woke up with more makeup under my eyes. Are you kidding me? I shouldn’t have to use ten cotton balls of makeup remover to get rid of one coat of mascara. This stuff is worthless.

I was introduced to Yonka line 5-6 years ago by an my skin care lady. What an amazing line of products. I am middle aged but still have oily skin with occasional breakouts, although I live in a cold climate so need to be careful of dehydration. This cleansing lotion keeps the skin moist but not oily. Very gentle. Use with the spray toner as a follow up.
Shawn Wilmette, IL
I definitely prefer the gel cleanser from Yonka to the lotion cleanser. I don’t care for the way my skin feels when I use this product. It doesn’t leave a clean feeling and I can’t use it for an eyemakeup remover the way I can the gel cleanser. I think it would be a great product for the right face, but my face isn’t it.
Jannie Big Bear City, CA
Others have said the same. It’s a pleasure to feel – my skin loves it. Not drying. Removes makeup well. Works great with Clarisonic. But you will smell like an old lady. So far, it’s been worth the trade off. Crazy when other Yon Ka products like the toner smell SOOO good.

A few short days after beginning to use this product, I had a major nasty breakout on both sides of my face, around my cheek bones. This is a very unusual place for me to have pimples, so I quickly pinpointed it to this product as the only thing I had recently changed in my routine. In fairness though, I was applying this cream to my eyes, then applying my regular cleanser to the rest of my face and then rinsing it all off at once. I imagine the water was causing it to run down my cheeks and clog my pores. Since then, I have lessened the amount I’m using, and I wipe it off with a kleenex before cleansing the rest of my face, and the breakouts are nearly gone. Not sure I’d buy again though, I’ll probably seek out a product that is completely non-comedogenic.

This doesn’t work. Anything removed is removed by elbow grease entirely, not this product. I use the nutrogena liquid eye makeup remover instead – it works

Edited Review: I went from 2 stars to 5 stars. I am still on my 2nd bottle and I actually love it. After my first bottle, I went back to my Target’s Sonia Kashuk but realized that it didn’t work as well as the bioderma. I went back to the 2nd bottle. I only had the issue of my eyes stinging a couple of times (hence the 2 star review) but I haven’t had the issue since, even when I rub around my eye to remove my makeup.I also hate paying any kind of shipping but after doing the math the sonia kashuk is $0.078/ml vs bioderm is $0.054/ml.Buying 2 pack is the cheapest I have seen online.I highly recommend this makeup remover. I hope amazon will start selling the new bioderma packaging with the pump! In the mean time I purchased Liquid Push Down Alcohol Dispenser- Clear Bottle- Labeled – 9 Oz Bottle on amazon which has been a life saver! For someone using bioderma every single night, this dispenser makes a big difference!Original Post:I’m not a fan of this. I bought this after recommendation from a make-up guru on youtube. I think it’s pretty natural but it stings my eye when I remove my eye makeup. I have 2 big bottles that will probably last me several months so I’m stuck with it. I’ll be going back to my holy grail makeup remover from Sonia Kashuk at Target. Oh well…..

This is amazing! I kind of doubted it would be as good as everyone’s been saying but it totally is. It’s the most gentle (yet effective) makeup remover I’ve ever tried. Completely unscented, leaves no residue, and feels exactly like water. I would definitely recommend this to anyone– if nothing else, you’ll probably appreciate the novelty of it.

Best makeup remover with cotton rounds. Works great and is good for your skin. If you do not believe it, try this after you use your make up remover wipes, and you will see all the stuff that is still left over.Only negative is that it is way more expensive here in the US than in Europe

I was cleaning my eyelids for a few weeks twice a day with baby shampoo. It only helped for a few hours and the little sandy looking particles would accumulate again with the horrible burning eye pain.So I tried these and the sand in my eyelashes stays away for at least 24 hours. These pads sometimes make my eyelids itch which might be an allergic reaction as I seem to be allergic to everything. But these definitely are the best thing so far for blepharitis. They contain a variety of preservatives, which apparently kills the eyelid bacteria. I think the price should be half of what it is and I will start cutting these in half, and wraping the unused half back in the foil packet to keep it moist, as these are really too large anyway. These also have Ringer’s Solution to balance the ph of the lid perfectly which also helps control yeast and bacteria. Good product.edit: thanks to these I no longer have blepharitis. My eye doctor said it was a permanent condition which freaked me out but suggested I try these and I’m glad I did as I don’t seem to have it any more. I use one of these maybe once a week if my eyes feel tired and they are soothing but the blepharitis is gone for good.

This product really helped the pain in my eyes which has recently started to get worse. These pads are individually wrapped, which keeps everything sanitary. I can even pack a few into my carry-on bag for long flights. It is not a one-time solution, you have to keep using them, but I find every five days is enough to keep the “grit” like pain away. I also use a warm compress before bed and that really seems to help before I use the pad. If you have that gritty eye pain (burning, etc), this could be a reasonable treatment. No harsh chemicals either….
Elisabeth Rolling Fork, MS
OK, but not as good as I was hoping. I liked the idea of not having to rinse them off like you do most other lid scrubs. I couldn’t see it helped any more and the eye Dr. recommended another product and I get it on Amazon and like it real well.

- Gel-based formula gently dissolves makeup gently

I have only tried two other eye makeup removers before and found them to not work very well. I felt like I was never fully removing my waterproof mascara and felt like I had perpetual raccoon eyes. This is a great product. It took off every trace of eye makeup including waterproof mascara, eye shadow and eye liner. It comes out of the bottle really quickly and has the consistancy of a liquidy gel. Doesn’t have a harsh smell and seems to soothe the eye. Very happy with this purchase and will buy again when I run out unless I can find it somewhere locally.

I see that another reviewer mentions that this will not take off waterproof mascara, that is true. Generally this gentle formula does not take off heavy duty make ups. However, I find it is excellent for removing smears, raccoon eye, and make up residue. I use it every morning under my eyes before applying lotion and eye makeup. I also put a little bit on a q-tip to help even out eyeliner. It has kind of an oily feeling, and is a little viscous, but leaves no residue on skin, and leaves skin feeling silky and moisturized. I would recommend this product if you looking for a gentle, natural make up remover. However, there are certainly stronger products out there if you need to remove some serious makeup.
Autumn Pride, LA
This is a very nice eye makeup remover. It does not sting your eyes. It removes most eye makeup easily, its not oily or greasy and it does calm the skin around the eyes since it contains calming ingredients. The formula is in a aloe Vera gel like form. The only downside of this form is that when you squeeze it out, its a bit hard to control the amount. Overall, its a very nicely priced natural eye makeup remover product. Gentle and effective. Would buy again.

I wanted to love this product after reading all the hype here…. but, alas… that’s all it was, “hype”. I bought this product to replace my Lancome waterproof makeup remover (because the Lancome product irritated my dry eyes), but it didn’t remove my waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I was actually left with waterproof “raccoon eyes” that I had to GO BACK and remove with my Lancome product. Strangely enough, the bottle must not be air tight because the second (unopened) groduct is starting to evaporate. While that’s inevitable for any liquid, it seemed strange how quickly it occurred (3 weeks) and that there weren’t any seals for freshness…Anyways… I guess this product makes a mediocre (non-waterproof) eye makeup remover if you think you MUST have it- but if you’re using water-resistant/waterproof makeup- PASS!

I love this eye makeup remover, it removed all my eye makeup with just one cotton ball on each eye. My eyes are really sensitive, I cant even wear eyeliner but this stuff didnt irritate my eyes even when I got it in my eye. Highly reccomended buying it.
Sherrie West Alton, MO
The good is that it does not leave an oily residue. I find that towards the end of a work week, I have mascara under my eyes. Apparently it isn’t getting it all off and builds up during the week. I have found that it works best if a very absorbent cotton pad is used. Also use lots of the solution–that also helps.

This product was really awful which surprised me. I found the pads extremely irritating to my eyes and for an organic product I was very surprised. I tried them several times just to make sure but each time my eyes really stung after cleaning with the pads. Additionally, they did a poor job of removing non-waterpoof mascara and eyeliner. I would never purchase them again and just threw the rest of them out. I have tried 5 other brands of of eye remover pads and will review them all. In general, I found Jason irritated my eyes the most and did the worst job of removing eye make-up. I just may go back to using gentle cetaphil and a wash cloth for removing eye make-up. It takes a little more work but at least my eyes don’t sting and my eye make-up is fully removed.

At first, I thought that makeup remover pads would be much easier to use instead of having to dispense product onto a cotton round. But actually, these pads have so much product on them that I’d have to wring them out of the excess to use them, only to have to tip the jar to put a little bit more when it ran too dry. It’s so much easier to control the amount of makeup remover yourself. Plus these pads stung my eyes if the product got in them while removing mascara.
Nadine Cleveland, ND
I’ve been using Neutrogena’s makeup removing towelettes and thought switching to JASON would be a wise choice in terms of ingredients being wiped all over my face. Unfortunately these just don’t remove much makeup. I only tried using it once but kept using pad after pad after pad, finally giving up and going back to my Neutrogena towelettes.I will add that I don’t use a lot of makeup. I mix a tinted moisturizer with some aloe, then use a light dusting of mineral powder. I use mineral blush regular eyeshadows. It’s not like I’m using industrial-strength coverup.I did, however find a use for these. I keep them on my vanity and use them to wipe off the back of my hand which is the palette for my liquid foundation and eye primer.

These eye make-up remover pads were just OK for me. Here are my comments, in no particular order:PROs:- Fragrance and dye-free- Lint-free- The ingredients did not cause an allergic reaction on my eyelids, which is the one place I tend to get rashes when an ingredient does not work for me, so that was very positiveCONs:- Irritated my eyes – they were quite red afterwards- Required a lot of wiping and dabbing along the lid line, especially with the textured side of the pad, to get rid of all of my eye makeup, specifically my Clinique Quickliner for Eyes Intense. It seems that the waxy consistency of that eyeliner was rather resistant to these pads. The smooth side of the pad did almost nothing and remained rather clean throughout.- The extensive wiping also did not feel that great on the skin around my eyes and in the end I just stopped for fear of real irritation from the repeated wiping. Most of the makeup was gone but not everything.SUMMARY:Might buy this again for traveling because of the convenience but overall the product did not convince me all the way.

When I received this pack of makeup removing pads, I was hoping for a plush, well moistened and comfortable product. It unfortunately did not deliver.First off, these are not well moistened. They’re just slightly moist, making them useful for a very short time before they dry up. The lack of moisture also makes them less comfortable to use.Secondly, they are by no means plush. They are thin and rough, and if you want to get mascara off you have to sit there and scrub with them, which does your skin no good whatsoever.Lastly, they’re not great at actually removing mascara. I’m not sure whether they were trying to go light on the dissolving agent to make them more skin friendly, but something went wrong somewhere. You have to work very hard to remove your mascara, and even when I just swiped them over my foundation the removal was spotty and I had to make several passes… with the rough texture this made the experience unpleasant. Would not try again.

Simple Brand from the UK, has been around for 50 years, yet is relatively new to the United States. There are no dyes, perfumes, and all the products are perfect for sensitive skin. I’ve used the facial wash, exfoliating wipes, scrub, and toner and all have left my face feeling clean and fresh with a healthy glow and no breakout side effects. However, the Eye Make-up Remover Pads are just not effective for removing eye-makeup. In particular, it doesn’t remove mascara affectively at all. In addition, the pads are abrasive in texture, which is a major “No-No” when it comes to cleaning the delicate area around the eye. I find theSimple Cleansing Facial Wipes, 25 Count (Pack of 2)to be very effective in removing even heavy eye-makeup, so there’s no need to add a step to your cleaning regime. I will continue to use Simple skin products, just not the remover pads.
