Find your balance. When it comes to faces with dry and oily places, it takes a clever cleanser to balance the two. This gentle, frothy face wash carefully does both jobs without canceling each other out. Konjac powder seeks out oil, soaks it up then keeps it well in-check, while wheat protein balances and protects dry prone zones. And broadleaf kelp breaks down dirt, disperses excess oil and sends dullness down the drain. There’s also aromatic bergamot, spearmint and lavender to add pleasure to the process. Skin feels comfortably refreshed after cleansing, never tight, pulled or parched. Checks and BalancesTM is best for combination/normal skin. How to use: Squeeze small amount into palm, add tepid water to lather. Swirl over skin, steering clear of eyes. Rinse thoroughly. Great for A.M. and P.M. cleansing. 150ml

I was using this face wash for a couple of months and I absolutely loved it! It kept my skin from becoming too oily through out the day! I loved using this product and was recommending it to all of my friends. After about 6 months, I began to have problems with my eyes. They would get red and irritated and I changed everything in my routine but my face wash. I tried to stop using Checks and Balances and my eyes got immediately better! While I did really like this product, it was a little too harsh for my skin. I have very sensitive, combination skin. I think this would be great for people with tougher skin!

I love the smell of this cleanser. The combination of Bergamot, Lavender and Mint create a wonderfully fresh smelling scent, which to me is sort of an earthy mintiness.I only need to use a small dime-size amount of this cleanser. It has the consistency of a thick lotion and develops into a nice frothy lather. While I could splash it off with water, I find that it’s better to use a wash cloth to thoroughly rinse it off.The results are really amazing. My oily T-zone feels clean but my cheeks (typically dry) don’t feel tight or dry. Makeup is thoroughly washed off and the cleanser doesn’t irritate my eyes I had been having some issues with minor breakouts but since using this cleanser for the past few weeks, my skin has seen noticeable improvement. While this cleanser doesn’t dry out the skin, I didn’t find it to add moisture either. But with this type of cleanser I didn’t have expectations that it would. In the past I have used a lot of cream cleansers (non-foaming) which were great for the dry skin, but didn’t help much with the oily areas. Checks and Balances is the happy medium – nice foaming action while managing to maintain skin’s natural moisture level.

It is a little drying, but I love it. Cleans up the makeup and the dirt without scrubbing.

DSE Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser – Unscented.
- A liquifying cream that opens the pores, causing the body to sweat quicker and easier
- An ideal training aid that is a must for serious athletes
- Enhances warm-up time, weight loss and the sweating process during workouts
I’ve used Albolene to remove mascara for over 30 years (yikes) and even when I tried to replace it with dept store brands that matched the mascaras (Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clinque, you name it) none of the other brands ever came close to being as good as Albolene….Never gets in your eyes or interferes w/contact lens wearingI have much fewer eye wrinkles, where the Albolene has been in contact, than any of my friends in their late 40’s. I’m careful about sun, etc., but I really believe Albolene has been a big part of my good-around-the-eyes skin.I don’t use it on my face because I am oily skinned and find I need regular cleansers. The price here on Amazon is exactly HALF of what they charge at CVS & RiteAid….Highly recommend….. works just as well w/waterproof mascaras….

Stage makeup and body paint are both part of my craft and easily wiped away with Albolene. It is equally effective removing everyday makeup. Over time I have even noticed that the skin around my eyes and mouth has remained soft and smooth because of the mineral oil ingredient. I often leave a dab on my lips before going to bed at night to keep them moisturized.Albolene is reasonably priced for the effectiveness and quantity which lasts a couple of months at least with daily use. There are no perfumes or ingredients that would irritate most sensitive skin (like mine) and the moisture properties are a great bonus. I highly recommend it!

A few of the reviews mentioned the “overpowering” smell of Abolene, but personally I couldn’t smell it. I have heard no comments from my husband and he has a sensitive nose. So whether that was a problem that was fixed later or my nose is gone, I didn’t have that experience. Here’s the experience I did have. My skin is dry now where in places that have previously been oily. And my skin tends to be sensitive and break out from sime moisturizers or skin treatments. So I read an article in a woman’s magazine where their panel reviewed various skin treatments and this sounded like it could work for me.And it does. I use it to wash my face and my skin is soft and smooth. It plumps up some of the fine lines I have on my face. I have also used Abolene as a moisturizer for my body. Just one application to my elbows made a world of difference to my elbows. No bad reaction form my skin from using Abolene. It may seem pricey, but it really isn’t when you compare it to other moisturizers. You only need a very small amount to get good results. I would recommend this to anyone who has a problem with dry skin.

The lighter your skin(like me)the longer could take. I have been using this product for months because by experience I know that Hydroquinone works. It comes in a 4% prescription strenght which it works much faster but usually doctors are reluctant to prescribe it. I discover Nadinola by chance with a 3% concentration so I bought it to compare which is better. Both cost around the same….The reason I gave this product 3 stars is because the results are slow and I also understand that for 5 to 7 dollars that’s ok….

I have very pale skin as well as light freckles .. Which is why i use the ambi fade cream, It does fade my freckles but i have to keep applying it and it does take some time but it does fade.. I stopped using it and the more i went out in the sun the more darker my freckles got. Going to buy it again to keep my freckles as light as they will get. Overall it does do the job, and for the price it’s definitely worth it!

I purchased Ambi in February of 2013 and I have used it religiously since. I have noticed only a very slight improvement to the freckles/sun spots/age spots that are appearing around my eyes and on my temples. I am a 55 year old olive skinned Caucasian. I never had freckles/sun spots/age spots until I was in my 30’s, which was probably due to hormones and sun damage. In my 40’s I finally decided to take better care of my skin by using sunscreen, occasional OTC skin peels and good moisturizers. Still, the spots appear around my eyes and temples giving me a rather “dirty” or haggard look. Ambi fades the spots but not enough to make a difference in overall appearance. I would have liked it if the skin on my face had become overall lighter as well as fading the spots. Everyone is different and truly I have unusually stubborn skin; so it may work for the majority it just didn’t work miraculously for me. Perhaps my day in the sun is irreversible.Update: September 2013.Okay, so this is working! My skin is much lighter and my age spots are faded. The spots are not gone but definitely faded. Be aware that this cream has sunscreen in it and thus might clog pores so you must wash your face twice a day. It took a while but there is a difference.

It works great on mild acne, but won’t make a dent in the more serious stuff. I could imagine that a combination of Yes to Tomatoes products, or a stronger scrub might do the job though. I’m still breaking out the Clean and Clear for the serious breakouts, but this does a decent job in between. The cleanser itself has a very pleasant smell. You can smell the Dead Sea mud, along with the sweetness of the fruits and veggies. It gives the cleanser a very pleasant smell. It lathers gently but well, and always leaves my face feeling clean. That said, this stuff is strong for sensitive skin. For the first few weeks, it really dried me out and cleared up all of my acne and oil. I would only use it once in 24 hours, then covered my face in lotion. I slowly adapted to it, but I would work up to regular use slowly if you have sensitive skin.I’ll keep using it because I like the smell and the way it makes my skin feel, but I won’t rely on it as my only acne fighter.

Deceptive marketing strategies, with the different labels and same ingredients. Save your hard earned money and spend it on something you deserve!

I have acne prone skin and it also tends to be over dry. One day I decided to try the “Yes To Tomatoes” line and I am beyond impressed.I like the fact that this product is 96% natural. I am trying to get away from chemicals in my beauty routine. This cleanser makes my skin feel clean, but doesn’t give me that “taut” over dry feeling. Pair this with the Yes To Tomatoes moisturizer (see my review here-Yes To Daily Balancing Moisturizer, Tomatoes, 1.7 Fluid Ounce) and you have a winner!I used this in the morning and followed it up with the moisturizer. All day my skin was great, not too dry and definitely not too oily. The redness and irritation in my face is gone and I couldn’t be happier! The price is amazing-other brands’ cleansers cost as much as this product (sometimes more) and they’re not even organic. I am definitely a Yes To girl now 🙂

I bought this 360 clean face wash, because, of course, I was sold on that little handheld scrubber.I bought the green colored bottle without really paying a whole lot of attention as im someone that just washes my face with any old soap and thought it would be a step up to buy something labeled for your face.OMG did my face break out with pimples everywhere and it was a nightmare.i called loreal because i was shocked that people would want to put this on there face, I dont feel particularly sensitive seeing that hand soap is what i used before.luckily loreal gave me a voucher and told me that i should try there sensitive version that is perfume free.i now own and have used it and im satisfied by the product but now wowed.I love the scrubber and its really convient and soft but the product is just ok.I switched to nuetrogena and wont buy loreals again. If you are going to try this face wash, please be careful and try the sensitive skin, there is no reason to overload your face with crazy chemicals and perfume! You may be trying to recover for a week and a half like i did from the breakout!

I admit I havent tried this but I don’t have to in order to know it only derserves ONE star! I have been researching skin care products trying to find out what the ingredients actually are because I am looking for the perfect face wash/moisturizer for my skin. I have gotten so tired of reading labels and having no idea what I am about to be putting on my skin (and as a result, into my bloodstream) I have sensitive skin which happens to also be acne-prone and have had a really difficult time with trial & error on different skin care products. TIRED of wasting money! I want something affordable AND safe! Is this too much to ask???I loved the idea of this cream and was really wanting to give it a try until I got to the 5th ingredient in this product list- Triethanolamine. After a little research on this ingredient I need not go any further with my Ponds Cold Cream research and will not be using this product!!! Here […] a link to the alarming article I found on this ingredient:I would rather not risk it & if you read the facts on it you probably won’t either! If ANYONE out there has any recommendations for skin products that are mostly natural & non-comedogenic (I mean ALL the ingredients are)(NO salicylic acid or any other FOR acne (DRYING) agents in them,I am open!PS-SOMEONE please create a fragrance-FREE, all natural, non-comedogenic, NON-drying face wash that also serves as a moisturizer (as cold cream does)! Thanks!

I don’t understand why they put fragrance in a facial cleanser. I am allergic and am not able to use this cold cream. It gave me a migraine and an asthma flare-up.Also I am disappointed that it did not remove my mascara and did NOT do a good job at removing my eyeliner either. I don’t wear heavy makeup so this should not have been an issue for this product. It’s really too bad because it is a good price and I can’t afford more expensive products.
Noemi Perkins, GA
When I was beginning to look into cold creams a while back, I came across this because of all of the raving reviews about how excellent this product was. Upon looking closer at the ingredients though, I changed my mind. There are formaldehyde agents in the formula–which is something that anyone should avoid (unless you are a specimen about to be preserved in a jar).

I had been using pond’s flawless white facial foam until I find out that I couldn’t buy it in my area, just online. Plus it’s kinda pricey. So I tried this one. First, it has good smell. Second, it cleans everything. But once I use it, my skin became very dry but I still kept using it for about few weeks. Now I regret as it take away all the moisture and leave my skin over dry that one night I felt like my face could break if I smile. I tried to put some dry skin cream on after that but the result was bad. My face felt hurt every time I wash it, or apply cream or even just toner. Worst thing is now the skin on my eyebrows area starts being over dry and look like dandruff and now I don’t know how to fix it. I would not recommend this product to anybody.
Josefina Malcolm, NE
I’ve got sensitive skin & this stuff makes my face feel tight & dry. Getting a closer look at my face I can see flakes, not a lot but there is still some there. It clearly does what it says it doesn’t do which is disappointing. It does make my skin feel clean but I won’t be purchasing this again.
Fay Melville, NY
My wife has oily skin and she likes to get her face clean and fresh before she puts on her makeup. She likes this product as it is oil free and it is medicated to kill problem causing bacteria without overdrying her skin. She works up a full double hand full of foam with water and this cleanser and scrubs her face and neck in the shower. She is happy with this product and I am sure you will like it also.

Daggett & Ramsdell Lightening Soap 3.5 oz.
- Moisturizing soap cleanses as it helps lighten skin tone.
- With natural bearberry and licorice extracts.
I have been using this soap for the past month and a half and it really does lighten your skin to it natural color. However, It takes a while ( I still have darker sunburned areas that need to be ligtened) and the lightening is uneven. For example. Part of my hands are their natural color while part of my hand is still dark from the sun. My arms have not lightened at all but my legs are back to their original color. If you have a small area to treat this product is great but if you have a wide area that needs to be lightened just know you will have multiple colors until everything evens out.
Aisha Belle Rive, IL
I love this stuff…It is gentle on my skin and I have super sensitive skin and it actually lightens! I was surprised…it’s nice, it won’t make you an unnatural weird shade, probably the lightest you can go to your natural color, it’s good at taking away dark spots and tan lines!
Leona Salyer, CA
I use the soap on my legs because my legs get very dark. My legs get dark but all I do is put soap on my legs.

Mild Gel WashTo cleanse. Highly effective cleansers formulated with free glycolic acid to gently, yet thoroughly, rid skin of impurities. 4.7% glycolic acid.
- Medical grade cosmeceutical
- Glytone uses free unbuffered glycolic acid- effective for skin rejuvenation
Glytone Mild gel wash wasn’t what I expected. Although it is dermatologist recommended, I was totally disappointed. The face wash leaves my skin feeling irritated and totally dry. If I am broken out, the cleanser stings my skin. After drying my face I am left with a residue feeling on my face- kind of a filmy feeling. This was supposed to be a great cleanser but I will never use it again!
Florine Batesville, VA
I’m 32 and have always had terrible acne-ridden oily blotchy skin. After a series of chemical peels at a doctor’s office three years ago to tackle the root of the problem, I started using Glytone products. I’ve uses this gel wash every morning and evening since, and hardly ever have a break-out. Now I only need peels 2 or 3 times a year for maintenance. My skin is clear, smooth, not oily, and glows! I have also used the daily moisturizer with sunscreen, but primarily only need this gel wash to keep my skin happy.
Lenore Barre, VT
I am 50 years old and have had Rosacea all my life. This product evens out my skin tone, reduces the amount of breakouts I have and makes my skin much smoother. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to any one of any age.

I’ve been through 2 tubes of this product. It’s a gel, and it smells sweet and minty — very nice. Refreshing and makes you feel clean. But be careful though, just in case you’re like me — when you open it each time and squeeze it it can squirt out really fast so make sure you’ve got your hand over the nozzle and not just like, your pinky or something. But one dot or 2 is plenty for your whole face. In my case I had acne all over my torso. After like a week or two of applying this product every day, this stuff really made a difference. By the end of the first month the acne was gone — just had to find a way to get rid of scars which is perfectly fine as far as this product goes.I’m very fond of the ingredients list, how it’s not made of all synthetic chemicals, and how it smells.A good way to help this product in getting rid of your acne in a few weeks is to make sure you don’t eat too many greasy foods or at least take good care of your diet. This product is great, but I think you have to meet it halfway as well — which makes sense. You can’t just go to the doctor for heart disease and then go back home and keep inhaling burgers soda and potato chips and then blame the doctor for your next heart attack. So long story short, this product is great for clearing up actively volcanic acne, leaving nothing but acne scars (which is okay to me — I use aloe or coconut oil or good lotion for scars). The last star is for price. This costs a ridiculous amount for 1 measly fluid ounce. ONE. After I got rid of the acne on my torso, I just eat better, eat cucumbers or slap the cucumbers right on my skin with some aloe. In my experience, the key to preventing/getting rid of acne is to not eat too much greasy stuff, or make sure you de-grease with hot tea and/or cucumbers… internally and/or externally 😛

Searching for ways to stop break outs i decided to give this product a try. It has a strong smell of peppermint and it makes your skin feel tighter after use. It helped stop my break outs and clear them up. Although it is only 1 oz a finger tip amount will cover your entire face. The product lasted me about 2 months. I decided to use tea tree oil instead just because this product is so high priced but you do get what you pay for, all organic ingredients. Organic is never cheap.
