Honest reviews
Sounds like some astro turfing here.
Interesting but the too good to be true reviews look fake. Interested in the “free” sample but definitely, not giving them my cc #.
Waste of money
I used this product to fill in some of the gaps in my hair. My hair is cropped close to my head and there are see through gaps everywhere. I followed the instructions. This process is messy and looks ridiculous under fluorescent lighting. It washes out very easily, so I wouldn’t trust it to stay on for any length of time. Oh well. “Nothing ventured nothing gained.”
Pretty good product.
I got my mom Caboki because she has very thinning hair, especially on top. She keeps her hair very long in back and ties it into a high bun so it gives the illusion she has more hair on top than she really does. Wigs never seem to fit her right. The ones she likes always seem to be a bit small and tend to slip a lot and they always look wiggy. That’s when I saw a youtube video for this product. It was reasonably priced so I figured ‘what the heck’ and ordered some for her. The light brown blends very naturally into the color her hair currently is. It took a few applications, but it was amazing the difference. My mom was so excited that you can’t see the balding spots and it does blend very well into her hair so you can’t tell what is her hair and what is the Caboki. One complaint I do have is that it’s suppose to last until you wash it out, however it does not. you will need to touch it up throughout the day, don’t wear it if it’s raining or snowing, and don’t use it if you believe you’ll need to wear a cap. That being said, it works better than the Joan Rivers powder I originally got my mom for Christmas. that stuff didn’t work that well at all. The colors were usually darker than described, rubbed off easily and faded quickly. So far this is working much better. For the price, I’d recommend giving it a try if you have thinning or balding hair.
NOT for frontal thinning
I have been using the Joan Rivers Beauty Great Hair Day product, and it’s not perfect for a dozen different reasons. As such, I had resolved to try Toppik when my Joan Rivers’ product ran out. When that happened, I set out to order me some Toppik, but I read an Amazon review about the negative chemicals in that product that can actually further exacerbate hair loss, and can be hazardous to inhale. A user recommended Caboki as a more natural and better-clinging product. Since there was a free trial available, I sent away for that.I won’t be ordering more. For one thing, the product gets EVERYWHERE. You’re basically sprinkling a powder on your head, and by the time you’re done, your entire counter and floor are dusted black. I do think this product CAN help someone who has thinning in the back or top of their head. But my hair is thinning in front. When you sprinkle this product close to a hairline, you either wind up with dark dust on your face, or you wipe it away and have a sharp “Dracula” type of hairline, because the darkness of the product ends abruptly at the hairline. The product works best when it can “blend” in the middle of an area that has at least some hair.I can only recommend Caboki for those people who have top or back thinning, and not at all for anyone who actually has full-on bald spots. I’ll be re-ordering Joan River’s product. Joan Rivers’ stuff isn’t perfect–it’s time-consuming to put on and is tricky to keep it from being obvious…but it can be done, and for someone like me whose hair is very thin up front, it’s the better choice.
It’s ok
Bought it for my wife. The product works, but the holes are soooo small, she needs to shake it far more than necessary. My suggestion, make the holes bigger. That would greatly improve your product. Kent Oram
Better than Toppik
I am hypothyroid and have been slowing thinning for years. Rograine can only do so much so I went in search of something to help mask the thinning. I tried Toppik and Great Hair Day first. They worked okay when I waas coloring my hair a dark auburn but when I went back to my natural blonde hair color, both were obvious. I then saw the caboki add online and got their free sample. I am very happy with the product! It is light and less goopy than Toppik and, in my case, covers better.I stays put easily. I just use regular hairspray that I would use anyway – but it brushes out when you want it to by using a natural bristle brush.I will continue to use it.
Will continue to buy
I am a36 yr old female who honestly can’t stand my cowlick on the back of my head. I try to tease it but can’t stand the parted shine through of my white scalp. I shake this on and in 2 seconds it is disguised and my hair looks "done". Also, at times my hair feels/looks thin, this is a great thickener. I believe this is one of those products everyone would use if they knew it existed. Male, female whatever. Who doesn’t want their hair to look thicker? Especially as you age and get slight thinning, it’s the perfect cover-up, like a scalp concealer. Finding this product was such a relief for me! Definitely worth the price, if not more.
Love this stuff
I bought this because I wanted to cover up my side part and make my hair in that area look fuller. This stuff is great for that. Takes only a little practice. Sprinkle it on then take a brush or comb and go over the area LIGHTLY – don’t scrape the scalp. This helps the fibers to disburse more evenly and look more natural and the hair in that area look thicker. I can’t say how it would work on actual bald spots but for my purposes, it’s working great.
Fabulous
This is a great product. I use it to hide my hair extensions!! Just shake a little on the top of the extension, and comb your own hair over it, and you can’t see it at all! Caboki People, I just gave you a new marketing angle! Send me more for free!!! hahahaha
Caboki is the best
I have tried xfusion and toppik and like both a lot but Caboki is the greatest, matches better and last longer. It is quicker to put on and stays put unlike the others. bought again and again.
