Deep conditioner?? Not even close

I bought this to use on my daughter’s hair as an occasional deep conditioning treatment. I was wowed because it didn’t seem to condition her hair at all. She has long, thick and curly hair and her hair did not feel deep conditoned, rather it felt as if I applied a really cheap conditioner in a couple of spots. Her hair felt coarse and knotty. So…I tried it on my own shoulder length straight hair with the same result. I have no idea why Burt’s Bees has this product in their awesome line care. Very dissapointing.

Great product

I’m very satisfied with this conditioner. This is by far the best conditioner I’ve ever used. I use it alongside the Burt’s Bees Baobab shampoo and they leave my hair silky, smooth, and remove all frizz (this is easier said than done as I live in South Florida). I’ve had quite a few friends think that I’ve done some sort of treatment on my hair or that I’m using an expensive shampoo, but using these two hair products is all I’ve done.

Deep conditioner

I tried this product for a while it did what it was advertised to do but i ended up trying something else and liked it better! I like the brand in general!

Nice conditioner

I love burt’s bees. Its nice and this conditioner is great treat for my hair. I recommend it to anyone with dry and dull hair.

like it

I actually like this. IT is not thick like a deep conditioner should be but it is smooth and goes on easy and seems to bring some good moisture. So slip but I do not use it for that purpose. I mix this with aloe gel and honey for a deep moisture pack.

Doesn’t do anything.

This conditioner just doesn’t moisturize as well as other deep conditioners. I bought it because I’m using the curly girl method and this one doesn’t have any of the "bad" stuff in it. I’m just not happy with how my hair feels afterward, it’s not softer or smoother. I’m also disappointed with the fact that I continue to get split ends despite using it for the past few months. I guess my search continues.

I don’t rave about haircare very often because… nothing ever really works for me. I’m caucasian but have very coarse, curly, dry hair. I recently read the book “Curly Girls,” which describes a way of taking care of very dry hair without shampoo. I tried this deep conditioner to use with that technique and I’ve never found anything better!Don’t get me wrong – it’s not magic, and won’t give you unbelievable hair by itself (I believe only long-term correct, consistant care can do that), but it made my hair much more shiny, hydrated, and manageable. The smell was my favorite thing. It was quite strong even after rinsing, which I loved, but it would probably be too strong for some people.Bottom line- I won’t be going without this any time soon.

The smell is like synthetic plastic BUT this is only when applying it in the shower. After I towel dried my hair it just smelled clean and fresh. When I was applying it to my hair (no matter how much I put on) it felt like I was applying nothing. I have to use a lot. After the first application my hair was soft, shiny and healthy looking but the second time I tried it my hair felt dried out. The third time I used it I left it on a little longer and my hair was a little softer. The fourth time I used it came out softer. So the longer you leave it on the better. I wouldn’t really call it a deep conditioner though. Works best if you use it five or six times instead of any other conditioner for 4 to 5 minutes each time.

Not very useful

Normally, a conditioner feels slippery in your hands, and lets you slide your fingers through your softening hair. That’s not the case with this. It feels like it doesn’t really penetrate your hair. It has a weak consistency compared to even dollar store conditioners. I don’t see at all how this could be a “deep conditioner”. It’s not.

REEKS and leaves your hair dry and lifeless!

First of all, I am a big Burts Bees Fan. This product however, SUCKS. It smells HORRIBLE-like rotting fruit and it doesn’t not condition at all. My hair felt stripped when putting it on in the shower-and it was dry and almost CRUNCHY dry (thank the lord I did not blowdry).Try the Burts Bees avocado butter if you want a natural hair moisturizing product. This product is terrible….
