Why use toner?
Many people are unaware of the benefits of a good toner. As a cosmetologist (trained/licensed to do hair, skin, and nails) I can assure you toner is just as important as any other skin care step! A toner should be used after a cleanser, and before a moisturizer. When you cleanse, the cleanser is meant to disrupt the pH balance of your skin which helps dilate your pores in order to clean them out (this is also why you should cleanse with warm/hot water which helps open up pores, and rinse with cooler water which will help them contract again). A toner comes along behind the cleanser and restores a healthy pH balance to your skin, which not only makes your skin happy in general, but helps seal off pores which prevents germs, toxins, and dirt from getting in! (Meaning fewer breakouts, too!) Finally, you apply your moisturizer.Burt’s Bees makes wonderful skin care products! Since I started using exclusively Burt’s Bees I’ve noticed my skin is dramatically healthier and I rarely get any blemishes. I also have very sensitive skin, Burt’s Bees products are some of the most gentle I’ve ever used. (My face usually stings after cleansing when I apply moisturizer, not so with Burts.)I love this toner! The rose scent is so refreshing and crisp. It’s a great toner and great formula. This bottle may seem expensive, but like with all the other Burt’s Bees products I’ve used – it will go a LONG way! I’ve been using this toner almost 5 months now on a daily basis, I apply with a cotton ball, and my bottle is just now getting down to the level of the word “Burt’s”. It’s going to last me forever!I highly recommend this product to be used in conjunction with the Burt’s Bees orange cleanser & the Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Lotion with SPF. My skin is so much happier since switching over to Burt’s – I love this company!
I received a small sample of this toner with a kit I purchased. I am on Renova and doing alpha hydroxy treatments (glycolic) for hyperpigmentation. My poor skin was so ravaged from the treatments, I don’t know why…but I pulled it out, right after I had cleaned my face. I applied some to a cotton ball, and barely, gently touched my face with it, expecting it too sting. Applied more to the cotton ball and more all over to my face and neck…IT DIDN’T STING. I applied my Renova cream 20 mins. later on top. It felt so wonderful…I woke up the next morning and my face wasn’t itching like it normally does. I am now in possession of two 8 oz. bottles of it, because I found both of them at a fantastic price. 28 days later, I am still using it, with fantastic results. I really thought this would sting, because it said alcohol on it, but this is a different type of alcohol (made from yellow corn), after I researched it. Would I recommend it, yes. Would I repurchase, yes. The bottles are large and glass which I love and find to be more sanitary, than a plastic bottle. I pour enough into a smaller glass bottle (which is smaller and I use a funnel) each week and refill as needed. Great is all I can say, nice find. My husband even uses it now!
Queen of toners
Toner is something I bother using only if it’s impressive enough because who wants to waste time and money on products that are only so-so. Burt’s Bees has me enchanted with their whole line and ever since I started using their whole face regiment boy o boy did I see what healthy and happy skin is all about. This toner is mild and soothing laced with a rose and dew smell that feels very refreshing and nurturing. I always use this if I had a long day and my skin needs a boost or when I wash of my face mask to make sure that all the traces are properly removed.Burt’s Bees toner is highly recommended because it’s far superior to all the chemical and stripping toners and products that only end up aggravating the skin. The quality is do good that even the purest and freshest ingredients make a big difference on our skin with no harsh additives.- Kasia S.
Burt’s Bees Rose Water
This is hands down one of the best products I have ever used on my skin. I’ve struggled with acne since I was 15 (10 years) and have spent hundreds & hundreds of dollars on dermatology visits and prescription topical creams & gels in order to clear my acne up and NOTHING has worked…until now. I recently started making my own oatmeal, milk & honey mask that I use 3 times a week and follow up with Burt’s Bees Rose Water. I actually use this everyday, twice a day and I have noticed a significant difference in the amount of oil my skin produces. What I like most about this product is it does not leave your skin dry or irritated, which is a HUGE bonus for someone with my type of skin. I highly recommend this product not only to anyone with oily skin, but anyone who prefers natural skin care.
Drying and Harsh
Wayyyyyy too much alcohol in this toner. I’m going back to real, true, pure rosewater for my skin. This dried out my face.
Amazing rosewater toner.
I use this on my clients when I do a rose themed facial and they love it. I love the results too.
Smells good skin feels great
Would and have reccomended this toner to friends and family. Along with the repair serum and a mild soap (from another company) This toner helped me get over a pretty bad skin infection I picked up at Basic training. Also I have no scars from the infection and its so nice and smells so good it helped me feel pretty even when my skin looked and felt pretty awful.
Smells good, is natural, and does the job. Believe it or not both my husband and I both use it (he uses it after shaving).
If you are looking for a toner with rosewater, Burt’s Bees makes one of the most calming toners.Ingredients: Rosewater, SD alcohol 40-B (from yellow corn), vegetable glycerin, cornflower extract, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, witch hazel extract, yucca extract. If you love this product, you might want to try the Burt’s Bees Pore-Refining Mask with Green French Clay: one of the best masks for cleaning your pores and tightening the skin. I’ve never seen anything work that well before! I think it is the blend of flower powders and eucalyptus oil. Also recommended:Marshmallow Vanishing CremeRoyal Jelly Eye CremeEvening Primrose Overnight CremeParsley Blemish StickShea Butter Decollete Creme~The Rebecca Review
I put this toner in a tiny spritz bottle and spray a few times on my face/neck after cleansing. It’s very refreshing, smells great, and has been rumored to help with the anti-aging process. I can’t comment on if it does or not, because I’m currently using many different facial products. But I would definitely reccommend this for a refreshing, clean feeling after washing.
I love refreshed my skin feels after using this product. I love this line of products. My skin has never looked better and continues to improve.
All natural, does its job
Works great and is all natural. No breakouts here! I love the product. While the packaging is pretty, it’s not that practical. I switched mine into a mini spray bottle so I use less on more of my face.
I bought this after reading all of the reviews, no complaints, product smells good and tones. Some said that it irritates sensitive skin, I have fair sensitive skin and it didnt bother me. Ive been using it for a couple weeks and have found that it doesnt dry out my skin quite as bad as my previous toner which is good. Worth the $, Burts Bees doesnt disappoint. 🙂
Soft and rosy
I have been using this toner for several years and am very pleased with it. I have combination skin and it leaves my skin soft, clean and moisturized. It would work especially well for dry or mature skin (that’s what it’s designed for), but I wouldn’t recommend it for oily skin. It smells wonderful, rosy and almost like sea water. I see that Burts Bee’s offers tomato toner, but that sounds a little gross to me. I’ll stick with Rosewater & Glycerin.
Burt’s Bees is the only toner I use anymore (this one along with the tomato one). It is great for sensitive skin, great for improving skin health, and smells amazing. It’s a little expensive but it lasts a while and is gentle enough to be used every day. I can’t say enough good things about it.
Natural and it works!
I’ve been using this product for years. At first, I wasn’t so impressed with it compared to the neutrogena toner I had been using prior but after some time I came to realize this is much better for my sensitive skin and it smells lovely. My skin feels refreshed after using this product and it always cleans off the extra make-up/facial masks that my face wash fails to cleanse.
Smells like Fresh Roses
This product smells very nice and leaves my skin clean without feeling dry. It smells like real roses, which is refreshing.
