FINALLY found a GREAT shampoo that ‘calms down’ my scalp!

I’m 51, and have had an itchy scalp with dermatological issues for decades. At times, my scalp feels as if it’s on fire, and the urge to scratch is beyond my control, it seems! I’ve even bled my scalp and area behind my ears at times from the actual scratching. Over the years, I have tried probably close to forty or fifty shampoos, hoping to find one that is perfect for my scalp issues, and one that makes my hair smell and feel OK too. Enter Aubrey Blue Camomile Shampoo. My wife and I were at a local health food store, and she pointed out a few natural shampoos that I had not yet tried. I literally had a choice of about 20 shampoos, but for some strange reason, I felt drawn to this one. So I took a chance. The last few months have been very rough for me, itch and irritation-wise, so I was desperate. This shampoo is a bit gel-like, and feels very soothing from the moment you lather it into your scalp. A few minutes after I lathered it in, my itching stopped! I mean completely stopped! I couldn’t believe it! “Could it be?”, I thought. It turns out that yes, this stuff is amazing (for me anyway)! During and after use, my hair and scalp felt great, and to this day, this is my all time favorite shampoo, as it has worked wonders for me!

not effective

Aubrey Organics Hydrating Shampoo Normal Blue ChamomileMy hair type is normal tends to dry. It needs shampooing every 3-4 days.Once I used the shampoo my hair was so Matt and I could hardly not run my fingers through it.Shampoo dose not have a strong smell , while its corresponding conditioner does!!I used both shampoo and conditioner pair on my hair and it dose not seem it dose anything special overall to my hair.At least, I don’t see any hydrating effect written on the shampoo and conditioner as a main attribute.

My favorite formula

I have tried just about every Aubrey Organics shampoo and this one has been my favorite for years. I love the scent-it doesn’t cling to your hair once it dries, but in the shower it’s very refreshing. It’s a flowery scent, but not too sweet or strong. The shampoo also lathers very well, something that many organic shampoos don’t do. While it’s true suds are not what cleans your hair, I like suds. This shampoo delivers a lot of lather. It’s not watery like some of the other Aubrey Organics shampoos. It’s like blue jelly, so you don’t have to worry about some of it falling out of your hand to the floor of the tub. Considering the price, I think that’s a big plus. I have short hair and I wash it every day and I live in the desert. I wash my hair every day and the Blue Camomile is so moisturizing I still don’t need a conditioner. This shampoo leaves my hair clean and manageable and so shiny I constantly get questions on what I use to make it that way. A sixteen ounce bottle lasts me a couple of months even with washing my hair every day.

Important to know how to use SLS free…great stuff!

The key to using SLS free shampoo is to add water. Massage it into the scalp and add some water for better lather. Rinse and repeat with a very SMALL amount–there will be much more lather this time for that supremely clean feeling. This is an excellent all natural shampoo–really. I’ve used them all and only a few make the short list of truly natural and effective. Many “natural” shampoos are NOT natural. The matching conditioner is also a nice addition. I have oily hair and wash every day but find that the ‘moisturizing’ products (especially natural ones) make my hair more smooth than products for oily hair. I do not find that this makes my scalp overly oily.

Just ok.

This shampoo was just ok. I only use it on my scalp and it leaves my hair soft and clean feeling without feeling stripped.I was expecting a more fragrant, herbal scent but instead it smelled faintly of what reminds me of an unused cigarette. Kind of like a faint Tea/Aloe smell I guess you could say too. However, the scent doesn’t last or anything and really isn’t too big of a deal.I won’t buy this one next time, I will try another.

We’ve recently gone organic

And you would too, if you read about the ingredients in other shampoos that are literally harmful for you. The Aubrey products smell nice–natural, unlike chemical-filled formulations. Don’t expect them to lather as much as shampoos filled with lather-producing chemicals. Your hair will feel clean and healthy, because you won’t have stripped it of the natural and necessary oils and nutrients. Go natural with shampoos, soaps and even toothpastes! Johnson and Johnson may lose a few dollars but your body will thank you!
