Welcome to the spa!
Lemon zest, herbs, and an undefinable something that is just sublime–the fragrance of this product is divine. The texture of this scrub is excellent, too. It’s not hugely gritty, nor clumpy the way a lot of facial scrubs are that come in a jar. It doesn’t take much to work, either. It’s best used after regular cleansing, I found. I’ve been using it with a Clairisonic-type gadget , and it ‘s a verrrrrry pleasant experience that I look forward to. Mmmmmmmm….Fingertips should work just fine as well, and the more you work it, the more of that heavenly aroma is released. I’m tempted to dab some under my nose so I can smell it all day.Like all facial exfoliating scrubs worth the name, this Vi-Tae product left my skin soft, smooth, and ready to accept treatment. After using it at night, my morning skin looks and feels great! My only complaint is that the dispenser built into the top of the bottle didn’t work for me. The product comes in a flexible container so it’s not a big deal to squeeze out the right amount. I’ve dropped a lot of glass cosmetics in my day, and love that this one comes in plastic.I’m thrilled with the product which Vi-Tae provided for review. If they’d just come out with a fragrance like this one, I’d be their first customer.Edited on 4/24:My bottle of Get Refreshed fell off the counter and crashed into the sink. The top part of the lid popped off and is now working perfectly. I’m not suggesting anyone else fling bottles around the bathroom (even if they are PLASTIC!), but the initial lid failure was caused, I believe, by the extraordinarily secure shipping packaging. The top part of the cap must’ve gotten wedged. It’s fine now, and I continue to love this product.
All of the “NO”s of this product are the reasons I say “YES”. No Parabens, phthalates, SLES, etc…No crap. Why someone wants to rub crap on their face or body is beyond me. But for me, I choose crap-free thanks. This product smells delicious. There is something so calming and soothing about the scent that it makes me want to be a better person. The face wash itself is awesome. It gently exfoliates without feeling like 10 grit sandpaper and leaves my face looking clean and happy. I’m old, exfoliating is important. Plus I spend a fortune on serums and creams and if I just slather them on top of a ton of dead skin that’s money wasted. This brand delivers as promised without adding a bunch of unhealthy stuff on the sly to increase profits.Sample provided
It’s like a facial scrub and mask all in one. My absolute favorite facial product ever!
This facial scrub comes in a 4.46 flip top bottle. It contains European Freshwater Colloidal Silt, JoJoba Seed Powder, Aloe Vera Powder, Lemon Peel Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Geranium Flower Oil, Rosewood Oil and Ylang Ylang Flower Oil. It comes together to make a light brown and somewhat thick facial scrub that has a refreshing scent. I don’t quite know how to explain the scent but I like it a lot. It has these black beads that really give your face a good scrub. My forehead gets oily by mid day so I need a facial cleanser that really gives an aggressive scrub. I also get these dry patches of skin around my nose so I need something that will exfoliate my dry skin. This facial scrub does exactly that and leaves my skin feeling better than after using any other facial cleaner on the market. I have tried a lot of different products over the years so that is saying a lot.Unlike most facial scrubs that you rinse off right away you leave this product on for three minutes. Both the look and feel of it is like combining a facial scrub with a facial mask. It’s unlike any other product that I have ever used. It makes my face tingle a little and feels like a professional product that they would use at a spa. It is a bit pricey for a facial scrub but I assure you that this is a superior product. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I personally don’t see how anyone could possibly not like this facial scrub. It also doesn’t take a lot of it to clean your face. I use a little circle about the size of a dime.Sample provided for review.
I really like this scrub a lot. It smells great, it doesn’t lather up like crazy, and it leaves my skin feeling smooth. This is a coarse grain exfoliant, meaning you can feel the particles that are roughly the size of sand grains. I’m always torn between the fine grain and coarse grain products. Fine grain seems to take less rubbing and is generally more aggressive – everywhere you rub, you loosen skin cells. The coarse grains are nice because you can really feel where they are working and know when they are completely rinsed out.The product is a fairly thick green / brown gel. It doesn’t take too much for my face, about the size of two pea’s works. As I rubbed my face, I could feel the individual grains. That helped to rub the right amount. After rinsing, I could feel a soft residue or moisturizer left behind. My skin felt smooth. The scrub is refreshing.I was provided a review sample.
KLEEN, CLENE OR CLEAN “GET REFRESHED” DOES IT!
Yes, whether you spell it kleen, cleen, klene or Clean your skin is thoroughly cleansed and gently exfoliated. Let’s face it (pun intended), all of us need a bit of facial exfoliation unless, of course, we’re still in junior high. Get Refreshed does it effectively without any harshness or reddening of skin – simply leaves your face softer, smoother and an extra plus is a tightening of pores. The results are what you might expect from a high-priced spa treatment – not only is skin glowingly clean but it feels supple, elastic. Not any trace of a tightening, taut after effect.Another benefit for all of us living, breathing and shopping in the USA today is the reasonable price for a 4.46 fluid ounce bottle. The recommended use is 2-3 times a week – 2 does it for me so we’re talking pennies for a treatment. Thanks Vi-Tae!Disclosure: This product was sent for review consideration.
A product that cleans skin, opens pores, and leaves users with more youthful skin
This is a natural exfoliating facial scrub that works. It has a delightful texture and smell. Just a little of the it produces skin that feels and looks clean, soft, glowing, fresh, and younger. The product is perfect for removing dead skin and opening pores. It washes away easily after using it without leaving an oily or grainy feeling.
Jojoba Facial Scrub “Get Refreshed” Does Not Disappoint
When it comes to promises made by cosmetic companies I am an avowed skeptic, but this product delivers just what is claims. The scrub is effective and after using it my skin is not only softer to the touch, but it actually looks better, too.The scent is hard to define but decidedly herbal. Using the product feels indulgent – like part of a professional facial. This is an efficient and extremely pleasant way to remove dry skin cells. I immediately moisturized after the scrub to protect the newly exposed skin. After feeling the incredible softness and seeing the refined texture on my face I decided to go slightly “off-label” and try some on my hands. The result was every bit as impressive. I used a small glob about the size of a pea and followed the same directions on the bottle. After gently rubbing the top of one hand for a minute I left the product in place for three minutes and rinsed and then completed the same procedure on the top of my other hand. My hands, like my face feel wonderful and look better.A genuinely impressive product, I plan to make a regular part of my routine.A sample was provided by the manufacturer for testing and review.
It’s a scrub! It’s a mask! It’s a scrub!
I’m developing a crush on Vi-Tae facial cleansing products. Perhaps it’s the fact that an actual spa is out of reach on my budget and using these makes me feel like I’m at one. (Except that I have to do the work instead of just lying there being beautified by somebody else.)Maybe it’s the scent. Wonderfully herbal. Maybe it’s the brownish, sludgy color and consistency that give me the feeling that this is really natural, not a synthetic product. Maybe it’s the tingly sensation on my skin and the clean feeling it leaves after use.All I know is that I feel as if I’m pampering myself when I use this scrub/mask and when I use More Than Clean (blackhead remover/pore minimizer mask) from the same company. After rinsing these off and patting my skin dry the skin feels better than when using any other facial cleansers. Why not 5 stars then? Well, I may some day come back here and change the rating to 5, but, for now, the look in my 8X magnifying mirror tells me I still have some annoying clogged pores, some that have been with me for years. Perhaps with patience and continued use these will eventually disappear. (Or I will reach the age when nobody, including me, really cares, perhaps?)But, really, there is an improvement in the look of my pores since I’ve been using the Vi-Tae products and hyaluronic acid serum. And it’s the scent, my friends! I love the herbal scents these two products have.(One caveat: Although not as expensive as going to the spa, these products are a bit pricey when compared to plain old soap and water or your average drugstore facial cleansers.)Disclosure: This product was supplied to me free by Vi-Tae in exchange for an impartial review.
Great scrub even for those of us with oily skin!
So glad I chose this item when the company contacted me to do a review. I initially wanted to try their body scrub but after reading the description for this item, I was curious. My go to brands are typically the Peter Thomas Roth Laser Free Retexturizer Exfoliating Scrub and the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment .After reading the natural ingredient list when I got it, I was eager to get to testing. I made sure that I followed the instructions to get the maximum results. You use this almost as a mask/scrub hybrid. If you do, you will be impressed. My skin fell baby soft, smooth and with a hint of moisturizing (due to the Jojoba). I waited till today to make sure I had not breakouts before writing my impressions. Having oily skin, I wasn’t sure if the Jojoba content was going to cause issues. As I waited, I went and researched Jojoba and this is what I found:Jojoba (pronounced ho-HO-ba) oil is a botanical extract of the seed of the jojoba tree (Simmondsia chinenis). Technically it is not actually an oil, but rather what is called a wax ester. Why do we care? Because out of all of the compounds in nature, this wax ester is the most similar to human skin oil (sebum). It is theorized that applying jojoba to the skin can "trick" the skin into thinking it is producing enough oil, thus balancing oil production. The bottom line for acne-prone people is that jojoba oil is non-comedogenic so you can use it without fear. (Acne.org.com)This means those of us with oily skin can use this with no worries. How great is that? It’s rare to find moisturizing products that work well with oily skin so this is a keeper.CONS: The only thing you may find a slight nuisance is the gritty stuff the mask leaves behind in your sink. All you have to do is run some water and make sure everything goes down the drain once your done with a treatment.I will keep this in my rotation of skin care now.
Awesome smell and works well
The smell is awesome. This exfoliating scrub seem to does its job very well. Very impressive product! The packaging was excellent, plastic wrapped to avoid any leaks. No allergic reactions/rashes observed. Per wikipedia, Jojoba oil is found as an additive in many cosmetic products, especially those marketed as being made from natural ingredients. In particular, such products commonly containing jojoba are lotions and moisturizers, hair shampoos and conditioners. Or, the pure oil itself may be used on skin, hair, or cuticles.Sample Provided in exchange of a honest review.
Pricey, But Incredible
Although I’ve been known to splurge at the local LUSH store for premium quality facial soaps, it would take a lot of convincing for me to spend $30+ on a 4 oz fash wash. Fortunately I was given a sample bottle to review… and now that I’ve tasted heaven, it will be hard to go back to the cheap stuff. This really is very, very good stuff. Part of me wants to give it 4 stars due to the price tag, but it’s actually worth it. The texture is just the right amount of creamy and exfoliation, with little beads that actually exfoliate but aren’t too rough for sensitive skin. The smell is fresh and natural, not perfumey, and invigorates the senses. I literally feel like I have a new face after I’m done. The directions recommend using it only 2-3 times per week, which is hard for me to obey since it feels so great, however it probably is for the best. I have very sensitive skin and have not had any adverse reactions to it, but since it’s a very thorough cleanse that would probably be too extreme for the usual twice a day routine.OVERALL: this is a great product that puts a little spa pleasure into the daily facial routine. The ingredients are raw and natural and all are designed to improve the texture and beauty of your skin. I admit the price may be more than what you’d usually expect for a exfoliating facial scrub, but it is so worth it. Highly recommended!
